A/N: This isn't really one of my fandoms, so I apologize if they're OOC. Oh, and italicized means dream. Happy Birthday, PeachBerry.

Soft brushes of silver hair pressing into brown, the warmth of strong arms wrapped around in a soothing embrace that is more solid than reality, sea-green eyes that are excruciatingly beautiful and above it all...

It had been going well for Sora lately. It really had. He had finally found a decent apartment with affordable rent, his boss had given him a raise, he was keeping busy and not letting himself get bored. And yet, something was missing.

Something...

Soft brushes of silver hair

Or someone.

He smiled sadly. That nameless person had always been there, in his dreams. He met him at least once a month, talking or sitting with him in places that didn’t exist. When Sora met new people, he automatically compared them to him, this imaginary figure, in his mind. Sora knew that he was being silly, that he wasn’t real and that it didn’t matter how hard he looked. He wouldn’t find him, except in his dreams.

With a sigh, he rested his chin in the palm of his hand, every piece of him wishing that he could see him for real, if only once.

Creamy skin and pale lips, eyes that crinkled when he smiled, his brave power, and above it all, the sound of a deep voice that echoed in his head, whispering so quietly those words which he most wanted to hear...

Sora was quite aware that he was considered a loner by his co-workers. Sometimes, like today, he felt lonely, sitting at home in silence. But he felt more alone when he was surrounded by all those people, who knew nothing about him, especially since he understood what it was to be known completely, inside and out, by that someone.

sea-green eyes that are excruciatingly beautiful

His heart ached to be with him, to wake up in the morning and see him and know that he was real and there and alive. He didn’t want to blush and look the other way when people discussed their dreams at night. He wanted his dreams to be reality and his reality to be one gigantic figment of his imagination, just a misunderstanding, that’s all.

But what he wanted most was to hear those gentle words said to him, not in a gentle whisper, but a strong, bold, unwavering tone, letting the words fill the room and the world.

I love you because

He sat down lightly on the edge of a stone bench in the park, hugging himself as it began to flakes mounted eyelashes and he smiled as he watched the people go by, cheeks dusted with red from the cold.

And then, so suddenly but so familiar, a man with creamy skin and pale lips stopped in front of him with shock and then embarrassment and finally knowledge in those eyes. Sora stood up, feeling as though he would spill over with hope at that tall figure with strong arms and silver hair and sea-green eyes.

“You,” Sora whispered, and he said a hundred things with that one word and he understood so clearly. One step forward, another, and they were just a hand’s breath apart.

“I love you,” said the strong voice unhesitatingly, pressing his hand to Sora’s face, and with that first touch he heard his name, brave power, Riku, and finally felt whole.

“Why?” he said, yearning to hear it, knowing those words would come.

“Because,” he said knowingly.

because you were made for me.”

END

I looked up the meaning for Riku and it said "brave power", so yeah. I hope this made sense.
