Summary: John and Aeryn sit in his quarters talking about Zhaan and how much they miss her.

Author's Note: I wanted to write something where John and Aeryn could just be by themselves and talk about what was on their minds.

Pairing: John/Aeryn

Part I

"John, " Aeryn said standing in the doorway of his room.

He turned around and looked at her. She looked so beautiful. "Yea, " he said lowly.

"Mind if I come in?" she asked with a smile.

He smiled and said, "Come on in."

She walked into his room and the door closed behind her. She came and sat in the floor in front of him with her back to him.

He looked down at her and said, "You alright?"

"Yes, I just wanted to…can you hold me John?" she asked curling up to him.

"Yea, that I can do, " he said coming to sit behind her on the floor. He wrapped his arms around her and held her to him. He brought his nose to her hair and smelled her. She still had Zhaan's hair scents. He smiled and began to rub his face along her hair.

"I miss Zhaan, " Aeryn said softly.

"I know baby, " John said in her ear. "But, we have to respect what she did. She did it because she loved you and because…I love you, " he said softly.

"It doesn't make it easier though, " she said.

"No, it doesn't…just makes it easier to cope, " he said holding her tighter.

"Then she sacrificed herself for all of us. She saved our lives, " Aeryn said running her fingers up and down his right arm.

"She'll always be with us though, " he said kissing the side of her face.

Aeryn closed her eyes and just felt him holding her. Deep inside she thanked Zhaan for sacrificing her life so she could be with John. But, she would never voice her opinion of that. She snuggled closer to him and took a deep breath.

"I'll never forget when I found out she was a vegetable, " he said bluntly.

Aeryn couldn't help but laugh at his tone. "That really did shock you didn't it? I thought you had always know she was a plant, " she said laughing slightly.

"Yea, she found it funny to, " he said smiling.

"I'm glad Stark is here. Now that Zhaan is gone we don't have anyone to talk to, " she said.

He looked down at her the best he could in their position and said, "You can talk to me about anything Aeryn."

"I know John, but I meant the others. Zhaan was our confidant if you will. I still find myself talking to her, " Aeryn said.

"I'll always be there for you, " he whispered into her ear and kissed her.

Giving her a squeeze they just sat in the floor of his quarters and enjoyed there moment of peace…and quite.
