The sun shown brightly over the Dragon Realms. All the dragon children were play and listening to the stories the Elders had for them. Their most favorite one was when Spyro had his first adventure. As the Elders told their stories, a beautiful faun came around.

She had short light brown hair, shiny blue eyes, pointy ears, long goat legs, a long snow-white tail, a green sleeveless shirt, and flawless skin.

She sat there, listening to the story where Spyro freed the Elders and beat Gnasty Gorc. She sighed and looked up to the sky, staring at the clouds as they flew past the sun. Just then, she heard foot steps running. She turned to her right and saw a cheetah with a case of arrows over his shoulders and a bow in his hand run up to her.

“Hello there, Hunter.”

The faun greeted the anthro as he halted. He put his hands on his knees and breathed heavily. It seemed he was in a hurry to come to her like that. That meant that something was wrong.

“Hi Elora. Listen, there’s a problem.”

Score one for Elora.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s Spyro…”

Elora looked at Hunter for a moment. He pointed in the direction he came from. Elora thanked him, and then dashed down to where he showed her. The wind blew past her as she ran at top speed. She finally found Spyro. His back was facing her as he sat in front of a big rock. As Elora walked closer, she noticed that Spyro was crying. Elora got closer and noticed that the rock was a grave stone for…Sparx.

“Spyro?”

He shuddered at the mention of his name. Elora got closer and put her arms around him.

“Elora? What are-”

“Shhh…let it all out Spyro.”

Spyro looked into her eyes for a moment. His glassy eyes met her calm eyes. He then buried his face into her shoulder, crying. Elora held in her arms as he cried. It just wasn’t the same since Sparx died. He was on a date with Zoe when it happened. A Gnorc went crazy and was running threw the forest and had accidentally cut Sparx in half. Zoe told everyone in tears, which struck Spyro the most.

He hasn’t said a word since.

Elora looked down at Spyro. He had stopped crying a while ago and was now fast asleep. She blushed as his breath tickled her skin.

She then picked him up and walked in a different direction from the one she came. As she held Spyro, she took notice to his breathing. His breath was warm and steady, which it hasn’t been in a long time. It seemed like forever since Spyro had some peace.

She finally got to her destination, the Artisans castle. She walked around the long wall and found a door. She opened it and walked in. She found a flight of stairs and walked up them, cradling Spyro in her arms.

Once she got up, she turned to the right and walked down a short hallway. She found another door on her left and opened it. Inside was Spyro’s room. It wasn’t much, just a bed and a desk with books and scrolls. There was a small bed near his that was for Sparx, but it has been vacant for a while now.

Elora gently placed him down on his bed. She sat there and rubbed his scaly back. His breathing became more relaxed as she soothed him. After a while, Elora stopped. She looked down at his face and saw his tear stains. She found a cloth and wiped them away. After she was down, Elora moved closer. She was right by his ear, or where his ear would have been, and whispered three words.

“I love you.”

As Elora moved back, Spyro moved his paws on her arms, holding her. She turned red like crazy as he moved closer. She thought he might be dreaming since his eyes were still shut, but that didn’t stop him from kissing her. At first, she was surprised, and then she closed her eyes and accepted the kiss. She moved her hand on his cheek to pull him closer, but after a few minutes, Spyro let go and laid there. He then let four words come out that Elora had hoped to hear for a long time.

“I love you too.”
