1"Cat." a disinterested, and rather irritated, voice reached Kyo's ears. "Phone."

He snatched said appliance from his cousin's grasp, he chose to ignore the look of superiority on the other's face."

"What do you want?" he demanded the from the caller.

"I found you." click.. The other had hanged up, he did the same.

Shit. That was the only thing he could think of as he took a seat in the kitchen. He did not hear the chatter between Tohru and his cousins. He did not see the food dwindle to nothing. He did not taste what he ate. Shit. How the hell... he had to get away.

"I'm going ahead." he muttered gruffly. He left before they even thought to stop him, though he supposed only Tohru would bother. He won't bring anything with him, its not practical. Too easily recognized. Shit. How the hell would he pull this off? Damnit...

He stopped. He was no coward. But, he mused, I'm not running for me. He could always go to Akito and ask to be locked away early, but he really didn't want to. There was no way in hell he was going into that damned cage without a fight. He breathed deeply for a moment. No, he was not a coward. And there was no way he could get away. He walked towards the school. If the world was gonna go up in flames, he wanted to have a front row seat.

Class went as it always did. It was not until lunch time that anything significantly interesting happened. Kyo knew that the caller was on campus from the vivid slap mark on Haru's face. He hid a smirk, though he was watching the world from the roof. It was not until screams of inhumane pain filled the air that he had to stifle a chuckle. Unbeknownst to him, dark humour reached his eyes. Unbeknownst to him, something not quite sane clouded his face.

The door to the roof slammed open, Black Haru had decided to give his less than loved cousin a visit. The suppressed personality stopped at the look on Kyo's face. That was not Kyo. That was a demon. It seemed that his gaze said as much, for the other's lips curled viciously.

"Looks like the poor cow got rejected."

"Shut up! I'm gonna rip your arms off you damned cat!" to his surprise, Kyo did not clash with him as he usually did. Kyo did not even flinch as a fist came at him, he just watched in odd curiosity.

Haru stopped. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"You don't know me well enough to ask me that. You never have and you never will." the voice was almost sinister.

Black was too disturbed by this oddity that the normal Haru was able to regain consciousness. The placid cow blinked. "Yo."

"Do not piss her off."

"Hmm?"

Tanned fingers traced the reddened flesh, Haru did not blush at the contact. "The one who gave you this, she could have killed you."

Haru did not blush, but found it rather odd. The fingers left and he felt a sliver of a chill. He tilted his head. "I'm gonna find Yuki. Bye."

Kyo didn't pay much attention to his cousin leaving. He went back to watching the world, before he got bored and lied back with eyes closed. A few moments later he yawned.

"You're as quiet as ever."

"Be quiet."

"It's been a while."

The other took a seat, Kyo could hear cloth shifting. "Whose fault is it Kyo?"

"I'm sorry."

"No, you're not."

"Why are you here."

"I promised."

"I told you not to. Damnit. There was a reason why I told you no." Kyo was perhaps the only one in existence who could get away with such disrespect.

"You can't tell me what to do."

"Why are you here?"

"Take off your bracelet."

The boy did as his friend bid, he trusted this person more than he had ever trusted any other. He did not even hesitate. Before the transformation to get a hold of him, his friend embraced him. He felt power course through him. He could hear the Cat scream in rage. He could feel the bounds to the Jade Emperor severed. He could feel the cries and screams of the cats before him fade away. He felt the warm arms of his friend. He returned the embrace.

"I missed you."

"You were the one who ran."

"I had to."

"Idiot."

The doors banged open, and the Sohmas who had felt the shift of the monstrous cat being released rushed to the roof deck. They were shocked to see Kyo in human form despite being held by a girl. Blond hair was disturbed as eyes blacker than sin glared at the newly assembled group.

"What are you looking at?" her voice was cold, much colder than any they had ever heard.

She and Kyo let go of each other. Haru was the only one not shocked by the difference in his red headed cousin, as he had seen it just moments before. The rat looked disturbed to see such a feral light in the cat's eyes, and he had been on the receiving end of what he had thought were the boy's most scathing looks. The rabbit just looked scared as hell. Perhaps it was a good thing that Tohru had to stay back to deal with her suspicious friends.

"What the hell do you want?" Kyo's voice had changed too, it was now bordering on a low purr. For some reason that he could not comprehend, Yuki suddenly felt the urge to dive into a hole. Instead he spoke for the three cousins.

"What happened?" it was more of a demand than a question. Fitting of a prince.

"None of your God's damned business." Yuki detected the double meaning, but doubted the cat had the intellect to use words in such a way.

"Fuck this!" Black Haru had resurfaced and was intent on answers. "Answer us you pussy! And don't you fucking hide behind that bi-" the black and white haired boy received his second slap of the day.

Beads clicked as the girl's hand was brought back. It was then that Yuki noticed Kyo's bracelet discarded on the floor. He threw the cat an angry glare that questioned the other's sanity. All he received were eyes of disinterest. He was horrified when the other took the beads back into his grasp just to crush them. Over a millennia of oppression was powdered in a split second. He could feel the unease of his other cousins as they two watched the remnants of black and white fade into the wind.

A laugh befitting of a demon reached their ears.

It was the rabbit who voiced their thoughts. "You are a monster."

"It took you this long to figure that out?" there wasn't even contempt in the words.

The cold blond rolled her eyes. "Bunch of morons. Go away."

"I'm afraid, Miss, that this is a family matter." no need to ask who that was.

"I have seen twins try to eat each other, but this is the only family that actively locks up one of its members in each generation." the irritation in girl's voice was very calm as she spoke of what seemed to be cannibalism. Before the rabbit could leave, no doubt to call Hatori to fix this problem of an outsider knowing the Sohma secrets, the girl glared at him. "Don't even think about it fuzzball."

Kyo smirked at the faces of his non filial family. "I didn't need to tell her anything. She can read minds."

Before the Prince could comment on this, the blonde narrowed her eyes at him. "Keep talking and everyone finds out who you really want to fuck, and what rope and water have to do with it."

That effectively shut Yuki up, and intrigued Black Haru. Momiji locked the door. There was silence for a moment as the air got significantly colder. That was when the three cousins found out that flying really wasn't for rats, rabbits, or oxen. Luckily Yuki's fan club had seen their precious idol fall and had sacrificed themselves to be his pillows (coincidentally, the other two were just close enough to Yuki that they too landed on this pile).

The blond looked bored. Kyo just watched the sky. Neither particularly cared that the girl had almost committed murder. However, one of the unlucky victims by the title of Black Haru was pissed off that he had been slapped off the roof with one hit (the same hit that had gotten the other two as well...how embarassing). Thus, the door once again banged open. But, since Momiji had locked it, this time it flew off its hinges.

"What the hell was that for bi-" Black Haru didn't have a chance to finish. He collapsed in pain. The spirit deep within his mind writhed, causing shockwaves of agony to rip through the less resilient human soul. He gripped his two toned hair and tried to scream. Unfortunately the pain was to great to manifest in such a weak course. The pain eventually faded, and with it went the darker of Haru's personality.

The normal Haru stared up at the girl who seemed to be ignoring him. He had a feeling that it was her. What was she? A smirk two old for the girl graced her pale lips. So, she could hear thoughts. He wondered who was it that Yuki wanted to fuck, was it really so bad that he had actually lost his composure so utterly?

Black eyes caught his lighter orbs. "The one you've been dreaming about for the past week. Stay away from him." a sharp pain shot through him

"What are you?"

"That isn't the question you should be asking. Leave, you're starting to piss me off." something about the girl made him obey.

"You've gotten more social." Kyo remarked to his friend.

"Shut up."

"Whatever you say, Anna."
