Note: Ah yes, here I go again making more stories while I still have others to be completed. Another serious tale of SasuHina, though it’s debatable of what this story might become. I honest just want to throw this into the ring and see how it goes, if it doesn’t go out as planned I’ll just delete this while working on other stories still. Don’t worry, I will still work on the other stories okay?

Plot: Sasuke and Hinata are engaged for about a year. Sasuke goes out of town for a Police Convention, but when he comes back he sees Konoha city in a new point of view once peaceful now a nightmare where the dead walk the streets looking for something to feed on... Sasuke along with a few other survivors try to find shelter in the Konoha mall but Sasuke is really looking for Hinata while she does the same.

Reason for making this: Like I said, I just wanted to test this story out to see if it goes anywhere. Another reason is that I love zombie movies like Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, the video games like Resident Evil and Dead Rising and wanted to see what would the Naruto gang react to it.

Rated: T for some slight language, violence, and slight sexual themes... AU...

Chapter1/Episode 1: A Nightmare Come True

Everyone has nightmares. Bad dreams that make you want to wake up and realize that you are safe in reality but the one thing Hinata Hyuga couldn’t do is wake up since she is already awake. Twenty-two year old Hinata was sitting in the corner holding her younger sister Hanabi who was in a state of shock from what she seen. Both of them huddled together but with the sound of someone, or something trying to break down her bedroom door...

Hanabi kept shivering and burying her face into her sister’s chest crying that their father isn’t the same person this morning. So now, that thing out there was their father trying to bust down their door with his heavy arms, Hinata looked around her room to look for something to block the door with. She eyed the work desk in the other corner, “Shh... Hanabi, listen...” Hinata stood up slowly but her little sister’s arms are still around her waist, “I’m going to put the desk infront of the door okay?” Hanabi still didn’t want to let go but she trusted Hinata.

The older sister ran towards her work desk and moved it forcefully about half-way infront of the bedroom door. It had to do for now for what else would she try to move? The giant bed with the purple silk sheets in the corner would waste time trying to move, the desk had to do for now since it was the only heavy thing she could move by herself. She shivered and wanted to cry herself of what was happening, she had no reason why their father tried to attack them. But he looked like hell, emotionless eyes, mouth wide open, and the wound on his arm was more visible as he shuffled towards them before they ran up to one of their bedrooms. His skin turned even more pale, almost clearly white as it must make him look cold. Hinata searched the pockets of her caprea pants for her cell phone only to find out she remembered she left it downstairs on the kitchen counter. She wanted to slap herself but seeing her little sister shivering in the corner, she tried to find her normal phone. “Come on please, when I finally need you!”

Hinata shoved off all the items from off her dresser to find the phone dangling over the edge with a busy signal. She hung up the phone and picked it back up again to call the police, she pressed the numbers only to be meet with another busy signal. She grunted, threw down the phone on the receiver and picked it back up again to dial the number again. Once again another busy signal, tears started to form, “Please!” The banging grew louder and louder along with the moans and growls, she tried over and over again and got the same results. She decided to call her cousin Neji by dialing his cell phone praying that he has it on him.

The signal was going through, “Hello?”

Hinata burst into tears and yelled, “NEJI! PLEASE HELP! Our... dad almost attacked us!” She started to heave over and over, “And we blocked ourselves in my room and he’s trying to BREAK DOWN the door!”

There was silence on the other end until he spoke up, “Okay... stay in your room and I’ll be over there!” Hinata felt a little relieved but the banging became more frequent and harder, “Don’t open the door what so ever until I come and get you because something is going on your side of town... I’ll be down in a few minutes!” Hinata could hear him in his car racing down a street while hearing some sirens in the background.

Hanabi was still in the corner but now hugging her knees wanting to cry but too shocked to do so, she never saw her father act so animalistic towards them. He actually growled at them like a hungry animal would. Hinata was still on the phone talking to Neji until he hung up saying he’s not too far away. She then dialed her fiance’s cell number knowing he’s out of town and should be coming back probably tonight or tomorrow.

“Hello?” The voice on the other end asked.

“Sasuke please listen this might sound...” Hinata was cut off...

“You reached the number of Sasuke Uchiha, I’m not in right at the moment so please leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.” The voice ordered.

Hinata was frustrated and was still in tears, “Sasuke... if you can hear this then something has happened... I’m alright but my father isn’t and my sister is in a state of shock and... and... I’m sorry... I love you... bye...” She knew the phone was recording what she was saying, even her heavy breathing. The banging continued until finally, one part of the door busts apart. Hinata gasped as she saw the changes on her father, his skin was pale as white and looked like he started to decay a little. He reached his strong arm in trying to make the hole even bigger slowly, his groans became more violent and scary as it made Hinata’s blood run cold. Hinata looked back at Hanabi, still shaking in the corner then back at the door being slowly ripped apart along with violent groans. She knew he wanted one thing, he wanted to eat their flesh off seeing in his hungry eyes.

Suddenly she heard tire screeches coming from the front yard, she knew it had to be Neji. She screamed as loud as she could so he could hear her cries as she slowly backed into the corner trying to hold onto Hanabi. She knew the thing that used to be her father was trying to move the desk out of the way, until finally he did knocking it over completely. Hinata took one look at the thing, it was horrifying to see him that way... Hanabi, moved her head to look up to see Hinata shedding tears as they drop down from her cheeks and landing on her own face, her eyes peered over as their father shuffled his way, just inches away he was holding his arms out reaching for Hinata since she was trying to protect her. Her eyes widened then she shut them tightly...

“I’m sorry... Hanabi.” Hinata sniffed as she shut her eyes tightly as well. Their fathers groans were frightening, Hiashi finally grabbed the shoulders of Hinata forcefully and prepared to bite on her as he opened his mouth but then... WHAM... and then a THUD... Both girls opened their eyes to see their cousin Neji dressed in his work outfit and armed with a shovel ready to swing again. Their father was on the other side of the room on the ground trying to get up while releasing a high screech that would be heard from a wild pig.

Neji stood over his decaying uncle then paused, “I’m sorry to do this uncle...” Neji raised his weapon over his shoulder and brought down the metal frame pretty hard against his uncles’ forehead, he brought it up and slammed it again and again until Hiashi was no longer moving. Neji breathed in and out heavily, he reached over for the bed sheet and covered his uncle’s dead body with it. He walked over to the girls and tried to do his best to calm them down, “It’s okay you two... I won’t let anything happen to you...”

Hinata was still holding onto Hanabi trembling, “WHY?” She cried.

Neji couldn’t help but feel guilty but he brought himself to say, “I’m sorry... But your father caught something that was going around making people go crazy and...” Neji clenched his fists and yelled, “IT WAS EITHER YOU OR HIM!”

Hinata stopped holding Hanabi and looked up straight in his eye then yelled, “HE WAS STILL ALIVE! WE TRIED TO TALK SOME SENSE INTO HIM DOWNSTAIRS BUT HE LUNGED AT US!”

“HE’S A GOD DAMN ZOMBIE! AND I DON’T WANT YOU TWO ENDING UP LIKE HIM!” Neji hollered back then looked down at the ground, “I’m sorry... We better get out of here before this virus I’ve been hearing about lately spreads even further.” Neji turned around and picked up the bloody shovel but then stopped in the destroyed doorway while rolling up the sleeves of his white work shirt, “Grab only the necessary things like money and your cell phones, I’ll be downstairs waiting for you two.” Neji exited and walked into the hallway and went down the stairs to make sure all the doors and windows are closed. Hinata slowly got up as she coaxed Hanabi to do as well, suddenly they heard, “I WON’T TELL YOU TWO AGAIN HURRY THE HELL UP!”

Hinata and Hanabi wasted no time in gathering a few things in their back packs like a few pieces of clothing, whatever they had in cash and Hinata raced down the stairs while Hanabi was walking slowly behind her. Neji was in the kitchen grabbing whatever was edible from the kitchen cabinets and throwing them in a box, the two girls watched him as he walked back and forth. He looked at the two looking sadly, “Do you know where your father keeps a gun or something?”

“Um... in his study I think... there should be a cabinet in there where he keeps the one I know of.” Hinata stuttered.

Neji shoved his way in between them and walked straight into his uncle’s study room. The first thing he saw the gun cabinet sporting the prized Remington 12-gauge shotgun his uncle would take on hunting trips. He smirked as he rushed towards it trying to open it but to find out it’s locked, he grunted as he looked around the huge desk to find a key ring in one of the drawers, one of them had to be the key to open the cabinet. Each one he fumbled around with until he used the one that looked older than the other ones. Opening the door he quickly grabbed the firearm and checked to see if it was loaded, apparently it wasn’t then he quickly turned back into the cabinet to find a couple of boxes of shotgun shells.

Hinata and Hanabi were standing in the doorway watching Neji loading up the weapon, Hinata spoke up, “Is there something you’re not telling us?”

Ca-CHINK

Neji looked up as he pumped the shotgun, he saw that his cousins’ eyes were widened all he managed to say was, “Let’s say there some freaks out their that are turning cannibalistic...” Hinata and Hanabi just continued to look at him like he’s insane, “Look I know this is probably something you would see in movies but it’s happening for real! NOW COME ON!” Neji put the rest of the shells in his brown khaki pants and walked out of the room leaving the two girls again going back into the kitchen then coming back carrying a box under one arm and handling the firearm in the other. “Come on, we’ll use my car...”

The girls could only nod, too much has happened to them already today and didn’t know what to expect ahead. Neji opened the back seat to his red Honda to let Hanabi in, “Watch over the box okay? And don’t touch the gun either because I put the safety on...” Hanabi only nodded, Hinata took one look around in her front yard to see the neighborhood was all in a panic as similar creatures were chasing the people of the neighborhood. “Hinata, come on!”

Meanwhile on the bad side of Konoha City, in the slumps the Konoha City Police Department has a building surrounded ready to barge in to find a few wanted criminals. One team of at least twelve swat officers were already on the roof ready to storm in but were awaiting orders when to strike. A brown haired male around in his early thirties named Iruka Umino was adjusting his swat team helmet, finally it fitted just right and then picked up the M4 rifle from off the ground where he put it down before carefully. Mizuki Toji on the other hand was ready to blast away those criminals inside the building, not caring if he had to capture them alive or not.

“Shi... man this is better than my place.” Mizuki aimed his rifle that looked exactly like what Iruka had towards the door leading inside to the building, “Come on so I can blow your asses clean off...” Suddenly the door burst open with a few men dressed in denim aiming guns at the team, one of them fired at the officer right next to Iruka right in the throat. He fell over, clutching his neck as blood slowly poured out, Iruka checked to see if there was a pulse but there was none. Mizuki along with other officers started firing on the three. After a short fire fight, the men in denim were shot dead. One of the officers, Izumo Kamizuki walked over carefully to identify the men in denim, apparently they were the ones they were looking for. Another officer raced to the roof entrance and threw a gas grenade inside to flush out anyone else, apparently there weren’t any.

The team moved in wearing gas masks now running down the stairs, down another flight until they came across some rooms. Mizuki took this chance by kicking down one of the doors and open fire only to hit an innocent man square in the forehead. A woman who was also in the room that must of been his wife screamed, Mizuki just went to the next door and kicked it in. Iruka was down on another floor but taking caution until Mizuki came down kicking more doors in. Iruka knew it, “Mizuki has gone ape!”

Iruka raced over and pounced on the back of Mizuki trying to stop him. The white haired man ran full force backwards into a nearby wall to shoo Iruka off, meanwhile another man but this time a mask covers most of his face expect for his right eye knew what was going on. Mizuki threw Iruka over his shoulder and kicked down another door. The man in the mask aimed his rifle as Mizuki forced his way into the apartment room, then fired, Mizuki paused and them fell forward.

Iruka got himself back up to see Mizuki was lying there in front of him shot, more likely dead because he didn’t see him breathing, “Holy hell...” The brunette stopped examining the body until he found someone else in the apartment apparently that looks like he hasn’t seen the light of day for about a few years also, he looked dead. Iruka carefully with his rifle aimed walked to look at the body.

“You were with Mizuki right?” Iruka turned around then heard the officer in the mask cock his gun at him.

BANG...

Iruka’s eyes widened as the bullet wisped passed his head then he heard a thud. Quickly he turned around to see the body he was going to check on was now on the floor with a bullet in his head, Iruka wiped his mouth on his sleeve not believing what happened.

“He was going to bite you...” The man in the mask turned around and walked out, Iruka was speechless and admitted the body gave off a strange foul smell.

“HOLY FU...” Iruka heard one of his team mates scream out in horror following a burst of gunfire coming from a couple floors below. For some strange reason, there was a large amount of moaning coming from downstairs too along that didn’t sound human, “SHOOT THEM! SHOOT THEM!”

“The hell is going on?” Iruka thought to himself as he jumped back onto his feet and ran out of the room with his rifle aimed to find the man in the mask fending himself off from something that looked like a man but looked like he was decaying in the process. The man in the mask delivered a quick kick into the abdomen of the decaying man as now the decaying man fell down the stairs backwards.

He looked at Iruka, “The name is Kakashi... And that’s all you need to know.” Kakashi aimed his rifle downward and fired a couple of times into the decaying man’s chest.

“Uh right...” Iruka wiped his mouth with his sleeve, “Are these people sick or something?”

“You could say they... turned cannibalistic.” Kakashi fired off another round this time hitting the decaying man in the head.

Suddenly the radios strapped on their shoulders started to buzz with a voice trying to say, “MISSION TURNED HOSTILE, PULL OUT THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY OF THESE THINGS! DON’T GET CLOSE TO THESE THINGS THEY BITE LIKE HELL!”

Kakashi lowered his rifle and mumbled, “Tell me something I don’t know...”

Iruka started to walk back up the stairs and stopped, “We better get out of here then...”

Kakashi turned around, “Might as well... aren’t going to find those three psychos here with those crazed things here.”

Meanwhile as the remaining Hyuga family were trying to get out of the city by using a car as transportation, the idea ended up being foiled as traffic filled the streets as road blocks were placed. Police waving people through one by one. Neji was losing his patience as he honked the horn like everyone else was, Hinata tried to calm him down while Hanabi continued to sit silently in the back looking out the window sadly wondering how the hell all of this could happened.

“Jeez... to hell with this...” Neji grunted as he pulled back the stick shift to make the car go in reverse, pushing the shift back he adjusted his car to leave the line and run down some of the weaker road blocks.

“NEJI! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?” Hinata shouted while holding onto the dashboard.

“I’m not waiting around so screw that...” Neji replied as he turned the steering wheel sharply to come onto another street but only... to have something similar to his uncle were walking those streets staggering around like if they were drunk, “Oh fudge...” Neji continued driving quickly through the streets until...

BAM...

A decaying freak has somehow jumped on the hood of the car looking in, Hinata screamed as it started to press its face against the windshield while its free hand tries to batter in the window. Neji tried to shake the freak off the windshield by distracting it with the windshield wipers only for them to be broken off, he forcefully turned the wheel around another corner from what he could see. Neji tried breaking but the freak actually held on, this continued for about a minute until Neji took another tight turn causing the thing to fall off but the car... went out of control as Neji couldn’t steer it properly anymore and then ran into a huge pothole causing the car to make things worst by causing the car to hit the railing protecting cars from the edge. Hinata screamed as the car tumbled down the hill over and over again until it finally stopped landing on its side. Hinata was knocked unconscious, Hanabi was also as same with Neji who bumped his head on the dashboard...

Later that night... Sasuke Uchiha was returning home from a very boring police convention, he was glad to be coming home as he continued to drive and exited off the interstate. He had his cell phone on but he really doesn’t pay attention to it unless he reads the little screen has messages from his friends and fiancee. He reached for the phone that was sitting on the passenger seat in his black jeep, though Sasuke is easily distracted when driving he decided to hold off until he stopped. He let out a cough, and wiped his mouth with the sleeve of his brown bomber jacket that he is currently wearing.

Within a few minutes he was approaching the first street back into Konoha city only to find something strange as he slowly drives respecting the speed limit. His headlights beamed and saw something lying in the middle of the road, it appeared to be a young woman that was probably beaten and bloodied . Sasuke stopped his jeep and turned off the motor, slowly steeping out of the car and closing the door he wondered, “What do we got here?”

Wow, I mean wow. I think I just made the first SasuHina story that involve a zombie outbreak. Well guys, here is where you can come in by saying wether this story is worthy of staying or not. Review normally, and when the mall part comes up just leave in the review if you want to be part of the survivors, or survivor that manages to become a zombie. Just write your characters profile, name, age, looks, personality, their story for being in the mall and how well they can handle zombies.

Anyway... Sasuke will be showing up in the next chapter. If anyone caught the reference to the scenes were sort of based from the original and remake version of Dawn of the Dead. Have a cookie! Also, if anyone is into Resident Evil, I gave Sasuke... Leon Kennedy’s Resident Evil 4 clothes because they are so badass looking. Also if anyone noticed, I gave him the Resident Evil 2 intro too... teehee...
