Dream Sequence
By CharliesHoodie

A/N: This is based on a season 3 spoiler I read in TV Guide. If you do not want to be spoiled, do not read this and then yell at me.

Also, this is very straight-forward and to the point. Don't be all like 'Oh, it's not as DETAILED. What's wrong with her WRITING?' The style of writing I'm using in this story was inspired by 'What Have I Been Doing Lately?' If you are not familiar with that short story, it's basically a dream written very straight-forward and to the point. Much like this story!

So, enjoy! Just wanted to clear up a couple of things.

"Two tickets to L.A.," he read off as he entered the flight information. "Your flight leaves in forty-two minutes, gate 23."

"Got it," the man said, smiling at his blonde wife. "You ready, love?"

The man had a guitar in one hand and was looking ready to leave, but his wife stopped him with a touch of her hand.

"Wait," she said, trying to catch the name of the man at the ticket counter. All she could read was an 'H' on the nametag, the rest of his name was hidden.

"Excuse me," she said anyway. "Is he going to have to get his guitar checked?"

The man sighed. "Love, it's not a big deal, I-"

"I just want to know," she cut him off, smiling at him sweetly.

The man blushed and put an arm around the girl. "Could you find out for us, sir?"

"Well, I wouldn't know," the man at the counter said. "I'm just the ticket guy."

Right then, a man in a pilot's uniform strode past and waved at the man at the counter.

"Hey, does this guitar have to get checked?" the ticket man asked.

The pilot nodded. "Yes, that's not a carry-on. Sorry, brotha."

The man with the guitar sighed. "Thanks anyway."

The pilot nodded and waved goodbye to the ticket man. "Good bye, Hugo!"

"Safe flying, Desmond!" Hugo called back. "He's the safest pilot out there, by the way," Hugo said to the couple.

I was behind them, waiting for the conversation to be over. Eager to just leave this country. But the couple was happy and talkative, and Hugo didn't seem to mind their company either.

"Thanks for the help," the man said to Hugo.

The girl nodded. "This flight means a lot to us."

For the first time, Hugo noticed she was pregnant.

Who gives a damn what the flight means to you? This flight isn't some magical experience for all of us. Some of us just want to get home. I thought the words had escaped my lips, but I was wrong. And now I was confused.

"Charlie and I are going to have the baby in the US. You see, I'm Australian and Charlie's British. So we thought it would be neat to have the baby in America. Mainly because we kept arguing about whether or not he should be born in England or Australia!"

Well, that's fascinating. How about you move on so I can wheel on up to the counter and take care of my business? Now I was struggling to say the words, and if I was saying them, they didn't hear. But weren't they familiar? Where did I know them? They weren't from the past...so could they be from...the future?

Charlie laughed. 'She's been wanting to tell someone that story all day."

Hugo laughed. "Well, I'm sure your baby will be very proud to be born in America. Safe flying, you guys."

Safe flying? Now I knew.

-LOST-

Locke woke up with a start and looked around the dark camp area. Sleeping bodies, not a moving soul if you didn't count the guards. He settled back down.

Only one of his many vivid dreams.

A/N: Oh?

If you didn't know what the spoiler was, you were probably just very confused. In the 11 October episode, Locke will have a dream about Hurley behind the Oceanic ticket counter, Desmond as the pilot, and Charlie and Claire married. That's really all the info I have, so I just free-wrote the rest of it and what I thought it might be like.

Let me know how it was and review!
