Note: I need to get some anger out of me about the second Bones season, so I've decided to write this fanfiction. That's how I think Temp really feels inside. I hope you guys will still read it and let me know what you think. It's my first Bones fanfic. - Nic

Pain

Brennan stood above and watched the team work on the new case. All she felt was pain. Ever since she came back from her vacation and met Cam, her new boss and Booth's ex, her world turned upside down.

Her relationship with Booth had changed, sure, he was still there for her and a good friend, but, it just hurts everytime she was with him. Even her relationship with the "Squints" and her best friend Angela had changed.

After she and Cam had "the talk", she thought everything would be better, but, it just got worst. It started with the lunches and dinners she only had with Booth or with Booth and the Squints. Cam was always with them. Noboby seemed to mind except for her, not that she would show it or say anything.

The next thing she knew, she was less having lunch breaks with her team. She made up more excuses why she coudn't join them and over the past months they seemed to get closer. She was the only one who distanced herself from her team and Booth because the pain was becoming too much.

Temp watched them from the distance and let the pain just rush through her body. She wasn't the type who showed her feelings and she wouldn't allow herself to, even if she just wanted to scream out loud sometimes.

She wasn't part of the team anymore at least that's how she felt for months. She was sure Angela would tell her otherwise, but, deep down, she just knew it. Booth would say it was a gut feeling, whatever that meant.

The pain became too much, since Angela told her that Booth and Cam were sleeping together. It was like someone had stabbed her with a knife and everytime she saw them together, it was like the knife was back in her heart over and over again. She couldn't talk to Booth and Angela anymore like she could before. Temp closed up and they didn't even seem to notice.

Pain

Pain was all she felt and it became too much. She didn't know how long she could keep the pain inside her without showing it.

Pain was all she felt and it hurts like hell everytime Cam was there. Every little detail made her felt the knife was back in her heart. A smile from Booth. A comment from Hodgins. A conversation with Angela. Or just a question from Zach.

Pain

Pain was all she could feel, nothing more and it became too much.
