I was going through the themes on 30angsts and discovered this one
4. Angels and Devils; Disguise (wings stain with blood)
and it just kinda flowed from there.

It was odd, how pale he was. She dragged her fingers almost unwillingly through the fallen angel’s raven hair; Lucifer would be proud, she thought.
She was too blunt to be poetic, except in her dreams, whereas he was made for poetry, a death-graced dance on wings stained with blood. They matched her hands. After all, Lady Macbeth could see the bloodstains, too, enlightened soul.
She disguised herself – but was not this entire operation a masquerade? – to enter the house. She was the only one with an invitation, after all. They called him a demon; they said that he would destroy them, that killing him was a mercy, but she couldn’t help but wonder why the roles were reversed. She wondered why she couldn’t feel like the avenging angel.
He wasn’t surprised to see her there; his lips curved into a sardonic smile. After the deed was done she sat by his side and stroked the hair away from his face – messy in death as never in life. Her flesh was coffee on so much cream, but coffee endured, the overpowering flavor.
She left his dead body as her calling card, a warning not to cross them again.
