Four years after Savin Me:
"Where are they?" Ben demanded, pacing in his house.
"Relax, Ben! Your sister and Ian just called twenty minutes ago, your cousins and his sister should arrive soon after them" Abigail replied, holding their one and a half year old son Abe in her arms.
As if on cue the doorbell rang.
Ben got it. "Where have you guys been? Huh? You called twenty minutes ago the drive is only fifteen minutes!"
There was a flash of blonde hair then a yell of pain, and then Jen was visible. "Hi."
"Ooow" Ian groaned from the ground, rubbing his back before getting up.
"What the heck's wrong with you?" Ben laughed.
"This" Ian replied, shoving the two suitcases he had into Ben's arms.
Ben fell forward from the weight. "What did you three pack in here?" he demanded.
"Us? You want to see what we packed? This bloody tiny thing!" Ian replied, holding up a small blue bag. "Those two are my sister's and she still has more baggage coming! Who's bloody idea was this trip, anyway?"
"Ben's" Riley coughed from the kitchen.
"Hi Riley" Both Jen and Ian yelled.
"Hi how are-"
"UNCLE RILEY! UNCLE BEN! AUNT ABBY!"
Jen grunted when a little girl pushed past her and ran into the room.
"Morgan watch where you're going sweetie" Jen said.
The little girl ignored her and hugged Riley's leg.
Riley smirked, trying to show he was happy to see her as he tried to show he wasn't happy that she didn't respond to Jen.
Ian bent down. "Morgan, your mum told you something"
"Sorry daddy. Sorry mom"
"Uh huh" Jen nodded.
"IAN! WHERE ARE YOU I NEED HELP HERE!"
Ian groaned. "Coming Alison" he replied. "Sisters" he muttered before going out the door.
"Whoa. Wait. Alison is coming?" Riley asked.
"Yeah"
Riley let out a small yelp and ran back into the guest room.
Ian came in a couple of minutes later, panting. He had two bags in each hand and on slung over his shoulder.
Ben's jaw dropped.
"Told you she was going to be a handful" Ian muttered, dropping the bags.
"Uh huh… you can take your skull cap off, now, we have the heat on" Ben said, noticing the black and grey hat that Ian had worn when they had found the Charlotte.
"Uh… no… I'm fine" Ian replied, looking around.
"Ian" Ben said, frowing slightly.
"It doesn't bother me" Ian shrugged.
"Ian! What example are you setting for your daughter? Not listening to us" Abigail said playfully. "Not just your daughter, Abe as well"
"A good one" Ian replied.
"Why?" Riley asked, coming out of the room in a nicer looking shirt than he had before.
"Uh… no… particular… reason" Ian said, his eyes shifting to-and-fro from a few objects
"Ian just take the hat off," Jen said. "It's not that bad"
"No. Like I said I'm fine with it"
"Why won't you?" Riley asked, going over to him. "And what's not bad?"
"No. Riley I'm warning you" Ian said, turning to face the younger man.
"What are ya hiding?" Riley grinned, grabbing for the hat.
"Nothing! Riley I swear touch the hat and I'll find a way to go back in time and I WILL get rid of you on the Charlotte" Ian said, dodging the swings Riley took at his hat.
"Yeah. Right, whatever" Riley hopped up and grabbed the hat, taking it off of Ian.
"RILEY!"
"DUDE! YOU GOT A HAIRCUT!"
"AND YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO GET CUT SHORT!"
Riley let out a yell of alarm when Ian chased him out of the house.
Ben stared at the door. "He-"
"Uh huh-"Jen nodded.
"Got-"
"Yep"
"Too bad he only lost an inch or so" Ben smirked.
"Oh it's more than that. I lost my dignity, too" Ian replied, coming back inside.
"What? Because you got an inch off your hair" Ben asked, smiling.
"And the story behind it" Ian growled, watching his sister come in with even more bags.
"What's the story?" Abigail asked.
Ian groaned. "This one" he said, picking up Morgan.
Riley raised an eyebrow.
"Got hold of the scissors and just cut a chunk out of it! I'm lucky Jen was home to fix it!" Ian blurted.
Ben stared at him. "You mean little Morgan… this… little ANGEL cut your hair"
"Not the way I have it now, no. My hair was uneven thanks to her"
"Oh. I gotta give Morgan a twenty or more for that" Riley grinned.
Ian bolted upright.
Jen yanked him back down on the couch.
"You look so much more friendly like that! I mean, where's the evil look?" Riley asked.
Jen glared at him, then grabbed Ian's chin. "Does this look like it was the face of evil ever?"
"Uh… YEAH!" Ben and Riley yelled.
"They get points for that one… now darling PLEASE let go. I don't want to lose all my dignity here!"
Riley gagged. "Ew. He said darling. To Jen"
"Aww!" Abigail squealed.
"Okay. Weird. Where are our cousins, anyway? We're gonna be late for the plane"
"Amy and Natalie called us a couple of minutes ago. They're going to meet us at the airport"
"Ugh!" Ben groaned. "Remind me not to kill them when we get there"
"Got it," Jen grinned.
