After three hellish years, after gaining all the citizens' trust in Syrup Village, after taking care of the ojousama's every need, he would finally reside in the tranquility he had always wanted.

He just had to take care of these meddling kids.

Usopp, the famous liar of Syrup Village, protecting Kaya and the rest of the residents, asked Captain Kuro if he had any compassion for her whatsoever.

The caretaker sneered on the inside. "Nope."

He was telling the truth. So he simply put aside the sudden remorse he felt from saying that, and continued on fighting.
