Author's Note: I don't own CSI. I wish I did, but I don't. Looks like I'm doomed to a life of misery... Oh yeah, I'm not making fun of people with ADHD either.
It's another lonely day in the life of Greg. But as he walks down the hall, he notices something out of the corner of his eye. Is that Grissom and Sara?
Greg stops dead in his tracks and creeps back to the door. As he glances in the door, he sees Grissom pinning Sara to the wall, his hands holding her wrists high above her head. Their faces are just inches apart and they're staring deeply into each other's eyes. Sara says something Greg can't quite hear, then he distinctly hears Grissom say
"Like this?"
And Grissom's hands move slowly down her body to her waist. Greg just can't stand it. Grissom and Sara are too close to just be talking. Greg breaks down and runs off, but what he missed was the fact the female CSI and her boss were simply trying to solve a case. He didn't see Sara walking away and asking about a promotion. If he'd stuck around, he might've realized that she was upset and needed a shoulder to cry on. But by the time Sara ran away in tears, Greg was already in the break room, sitting in a corner, rocking forwards and backwards, choking back tears. Sara comes running in, towards the same corner. She gets halfway there and realizes it's already occupied by another crying CSI employee. She goes to sit beside Greg, but he shies away from her.
"What's wrong, Greg?"
She asks, ignoring her own pain. Greg doesn't answer. She asks him again. This time, Greg blows up at her.
"Your what's wrong! I saw you and Grissom just now, and don't try to tell me that you were just talking, 'cause you weren't!"
He tries to get up and run off, but Sara grabs his arm.
"What are you talking about? Nothing happened!"
Greg scoffs.
"Cha right! You were gonna kiss, I saw you!"
Sara puts a hand to her forehead.
"We were working on case! We were trying to figure out how wax got from the attacker to the victim! Why would you even think that Grissom would ever kiss me? I mean, I would've wanted him to, but he's so oblivious to my hints! Oh, but he's so cute when he's confused..."
Greg puts a hand on her shoulder and states:
"Sara, you're ranting."
Sara stops talking and just sits there, breathing heavily. Greg sits back down beside her.
"Did you just say that you wanted Grissom to kiss you?"
Sara sighs.
"Yeah, I guess I did. Do you believe me? I mean, now I realize that it would look really compromising from your point of view..."
Greg smiles.
"Yeah, it kinda did."
Sara suddenly realizes something.
"Wait...why did that upset you so much?"
Greg blushes.
"Well, I guess I was just jealous 'cause I've always kinda had a crush on you..."
Sara's jaw drops.
"Really? I though you acted weird around me, but I just guessed you, like, had ADHD or something..."
10 minutes later
Grissom comes looking for Sara and makes a startling discovery. He walks into the break room, glances around, then notices movement in the far corner. He turns on the light, only to see something that makes him turn it off once more. He shakes his head, turns around, and as he walks out, and mumbles
"Those kids..."
What he saw was Greg and Sara, still sitting in the corner, alone in their own little world, now in a deep kiss.
