The sound of silence.
To each the world meant a whole different thing...
To love, to hate, tuck in grief, tuck in disgust. Tuck in uncertainty, too. That was something they both despised, but they both shared it, too.
Lust was observant. She knew she'd always learn more by watching from the sidelines than by getting involved in conflicts that weren't her own. Without need of an answer, she knew that he -Envy- was probably playing careless in the outside, and thinking the same in the inside.
In that sort of telepathy, they'd gone insane, hadn't they had all the time in the world ahead to be rash. As long as speaking through indirect gazes or expertly concealed lip-curls that bordered on smiles didn't hurt. As long as those could be kept from becoming dead giveaways.
It was really the best they could do for each other.
Envy was patient. As patient as his envy allowed him to be.
And he would be.
True love valued the sound of silence.
OH, look at that last phrase! cursi como ella sola, LOL!, honestly, how sappier can I get? "True love valued the sound of silence"... Eek! Smack me! XD
