Well, this is the end of the story. I'm thinking of doing a sequel, but I don't know what the topic of the story should be.
Chapter Nine: Aiden Goes Home
"Are you ok, we missed you so much" Meg said as she hugged her younger brother. Aiden smiled and hugged her back.
"I'm fine, they took really good care of me" he said looking back in the direction that he thought that Zack, Cody, and Carey were standing.
"Well, it's time for us to go home" Mrs. Addison said to Carey.
"So soon, but you just got here, the least you can do is get to know each other" Cody said, in reality he was trying to stall time so he could spend some more time with Aiden.
"That's a great idea, I can take you to the hotel's restaurant" Carey said to Mr. and Mrs. Addison.
"That's great. Let's go" Mr. Addison and left the kids in the suite.
"Do you want to go to the Tipton's Arcade Room?" Zack asked.
"Sure" Meg and James said in unison. Aiden climbed onto James's back and the kids went down to the arcade room.
"Thank you for taking care of my brother" Meg said as she watched Zack and James play air-hockey.
"No problem, he was really fun" Cody replied.
"Just one question though" Meg said as she turned to face him. Cody rose his eyebrows in question. "How did you adapt to Aiden being blind so quickly?"
"Oh, that, well, at first one of us always had to hold his hand, and then he felt around the suite. But since he's been here for about a month, he ended up knowing where everything is" Cody explained.
"Cool, I bet he's really going to miss you guys" Meg said as she watched Aiden play pinball. For someone who wasn't blind it would be easy. But since he is blind, he relies on his sound sense to tell where the ball is. Cody sighed.
"Yeah, so are we" he said quietly.
"Now, it's time to go" Mrs. Addison said. She turned to Carey and hugged her. "Bye Carey, thanks for everything"
"You're welcome Jasmine" Carey replied grinning.
"Dude, you have to come back and play me in air hockey again" Zack said to James. James laughed and high-fived Zack.
"Yeah, just be sure to lose more money like you did this time" he agreed, causing the two to laugh again.
"Once again Cody, thanks for taking care of Aiden" Meg said.
"Yeah, it's no-" Cody stopped as Meg kissed him on the cheek. He blushed and she pulled away, smiling. "It's no problem" he finished dazed.
"C'mon you guys, time to go" Mr. Addison said. They turned to walk away.
"Wait!" Aiden cried. He ran back into the suite and wrapped his arms around Cody's waist and pressed his face into Cody's stomach, sobbing loudly. "I don't want to go, but I want to at the same time. I'm going to miss you Cody!" he sobbed. Cody kneeled down and hugged Aiden back.
"Bye, Aiden" he said quietly, tears falling down his cheeks. Aiden pulled away, took Meg's hand, and then he was gone.
"Mom, I miss him already" Cody said and he and Zack hugged their mother, trying not to cry, but failing miserably…
Epilogue
So, me, mom, dad, James, and Meg are back at home. Now that I'm back at school, everybody is treating me differently than they treated me before. Sometimes I think it's only because they knew I was missing. But other then that, I have made tones of friends, and they don't care that I'm blind.
I really miss Zack, Cody, and Carey. But that doesn't mean that I won't visit them soon. Shhh….don't tell anybody…
