“…And if there’s any of the Vakama I know left, he’ll know what to do.” Matau Hordika was hanging a few thousand feet above the ground, clinging to a bust of rock. His hand began to slip.
Vakama’s eyes widened in horror. “Matau…Don’t!” he lunged to grab his fellow Toa’s hand, but missed as Matau fell.
Matau closed his eyes as he plunged towards certain death.
“Matau!” Green orbs snapped open. Flipping around in mid-air, he saw the Fire Toa falling towards him. “I’m coming!”
The Toa of Air couldn’t suppress the laugh the escaped from his throat. “Vakama!”
Vakama’s arm wrapped around Matau’s waist, causing a blush to blossom on the latter’s face.
Matau looked at the elder, he had always admired the Toa of Fire, but had never acted on those feelings in fear of rejection.
Vakama’s fiery orange eyes glanced at Matau. “Hang on, I’ve got a plan.” Matau’s own eyes widened at he saw the quickly approaching pavement. “Uh…Vakama?”
Just inches from the ground their fall stopped altogether. Within a split second Matau glanced up, there was a visorak vine tied around his waist. The said Toa sighed in relief.
Then the vine snapped, sending them both hurtling back up to the top of the coliseum.
Matau landed hard on top of Vakama’s chest. He emitted a soft groan and pushed himself off of the other’s finely toned chest. A soft blush formed on their cheeks as they realized the position they were in. (Basically Matau’s straddling Vakama’s waist.)
“Uh…thanks…” Matau said standing up. “N-no problem.” Vakama stuttered slightly. Matau smiled and pulled him to his feet.
Vakama stared at Matau as they began to walk. “Hey, why DID you care so much about saving me?” Matau was thankful for the shadow he was in, because his face turned as his face turned a dark red.
“Uh, well, I-You’re my leader, my friend. I had to save you…”
“Uh-huh, sure.” Vakama said snickering.
“What?!” Matau said indignantly.
Vakama stopped and stepped close to the Air Toa. “I think there was a bit more than that Matau…”
A lump formed in Matau’s thought. ”I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Vakama closed the remaining space between them. “Oh, I think you do.”
Matau’s eyes widened, his heart beating rapidly. “N-no I d—“ Matau was cut off as Vakama attached his lips to the Air Toa’s.
Matau immediately wrapped his arms around the elder’s neck, allowing himself to be pushed up against the wall. Vakama licked Matau’s lips, who immediately opened his mouth. The two tongues battled for dominance, but the need to breathe soon became to great. They broke apart gasping for air. Happiness surged though the younger Toa as the elder said four words.
“Matau, I love you…”
Tears of joy fell from Matau’s eyes.” I love you too firespitter.”
Vakama smiled and began to plant soft kisses and bites on Matau’s neck.
Matau moaned and lifted his neck eagerly. His hand traveled down Vakama’s back until a growl of pleasure was heard.
A loud crash brought them back down to Metru-Nui.
“The others!” Matau gasped.
“Come on,” Vakama said, taking his love’s hand. “We should go help.”
So off they went a plan ready and a new bond formed.
