Thank you to GorgeousSmile, PinkElf, and Moowitme324 for reviewing. This is for them. But don't expect me to update this fast every time. Enjoy the story.

Prologue

Once upon a time…

Don’t they all start like that?

It seemed like a fairy tale of the 20th Century when it all started. There were the 3 of us, me, Mark, and Roger. We found a place of our own away from the evilness that took on the form of parental units.

It was a year after high school. Both Mark and I had been working and Roger was just a lazy bum. All he did was sit around fiddling with his Fender and trying to write songs. Not that he ever did anything with his songs. The only thing they ever did was clutter up the loft. I could never walk anywhere without running into a half-used piece of paper with some refrain of a song scratched on it, in almost illegible script.

Then there was Mark with his camera. Oh, god; The Camera. It was everywhere he went. Mind you, I loved Mark, but… the camera? It was part and parcel of the package.

Of course there was me, with my singing and short skirts. How can I sing without short skirts? It keeps the audience interested if they don’t like my voice. Which they hsouldn't because my voice is incradible.

Anyway… we all had graduated together and were all sick of the shit involved with our lives. Roger had this idea that if we went to New York City, then he’d be able to sell something and make a name for himself. That was before he started the smack. He was civil and decent and generally a good guy. But I’ll get to that later.

Fed up with our current life, we saved our money, packed up anything that meant something to us and headed out in my crappy Volvo 240 to the center of the universe, New York City.

The end of the beginning to the so-called fairy tale.
