What Happens When The One She Wants

Ginny Weasley is the most popular Gryffindor girl in her year. One wouldn’t think that it would be possible to wear secondhand robes and still look like a queen, or be overshadowed by older brothers and still manage to shine through, but she somehow does. Everything she has is secondhand, except her personality. She’s honest, opinionated, and can have quite a temper. She’s nothing but original, even in a skirt that’s had at least two owners before her. She could have any boy she wanted. But she doesn’t want just any boy, she wants him.

To her he has always been an idol, a hero, someone to be admired. He was always a person to blush over, and stutter around. Until a little over a year ago. A little over a year ago she decided to take control over her life, to get over him. She thought she had.

Then, all of the sudden, he seemed to come to his senses. What she had been wishing upon star after star for had finally come true. Every cloud seemed to have a silver lining, and she thought there could be no end to this happy, joyous feeling.

All along, in the back of her head, she’d known it couldn’t last. She knew he would leave her to do what he had always been meant to do, but she had never quite let herself believe it.

And now he was leaving, gone. And she was alone once again, only this time it was ten times worse.
