Sorry for the delay people. Here’s another chapter. The reason I am helping Mindi is because I feel guilty about what we are doing to Murtagh. In order to be able to sleep at night I have to so something. ;)
Du, Codeman, Sly, and Feanor stood watching the house bellow. There had been no movement since Murtagh came and rubbed oil on Arthryn’s back.
“Alright,” Du said, “let’s get some sleep. We have to be fresh and active for the break in.” The boys nodded and with one more backward glance they went to bed.
Murtagh sat against the wall of his ‘room.’ It was more like a cell. He hated it. He was afraid to fall asleep. Who knew what they would do to him. He kept nodding off though and before long he was fast asleep.
He awoke to the door opening. A dark figure stepped through. Murtagh could see the Darth Vader mask in the dim light. He stayed still with his eyes closed. Maybe she would go away. No such luck, he heard her soft foot steps approach and soon became aware of a mask inches away from his face.
“I know you’re awake.”
He opened his eyes, “What do you want.”
“I’m going to get you out of here,” she said softly.
“What?”
“You know, you’re way smarter in the book.”
“I’m a lot of things in the book. Including evil.”
“True.”
“Are you really getting me out?”
“Yes, DF is helping me. She’s distracting the others.”
“How?” Suddenly there was a sound of breaking glass.
“Ow. Ow I think I sliced my Jugular vein.” DF”s voice came from somewhere in the hideout.
“What?” Screamed MR.
“DF, you’re jugular is in your neck. That’s you wrist.” Arthryn’s calm voice said.
“Oh, well it’s bleeding.”
Mind turned to Murtagh, “Please hurry.”
Murtagh glared at her.
Mindi sighed and removed her mask.( Mwhahahaha symbolism) She looked him in the eye. Nobody blinked. “Please.”
Murtagh swallowed and nodded.
She grinned, took his hand and pulled him to his feet. “I’d get you your clothes, but Arthryn burned them.”
Murtagh shrugged, “I’m getting out of here.”
“Yep.” She led him through the dark corridors. As the walked they could hear DF’s yelling, “Ow, you’re hurting it. It’s bleeding too much.”
“She right, Arthryn, do something.”
Murtagh looked at Mindi. “She always this dramatic?
“Yeah, she’s a regular drama queen.”
“Huh.”
They were at the kitchen by now. Mindi stuck her head around the doorway. DF saw her and squeezed something out of pain. It happened to be a well placed knife. “Ahhhhhhh.”
“What!”
“My hand!”
Mindi and Murtagh got away with out a problem. Now all they needed to do was get up the elevator. They were nearing it when they heard MR say, “I’ll go get the bandages from the pantry.”
Mindi and Murtgah exchanged looks. Murtagh looked around for a place to hide before pulling Mindi into a broom closet.
“Ouch,” she hissed, “Your elbows in my eyes.”
“Sorry.” Murtagh began shifting around.
“Ow, Mindi, my foot.”
“Well get your hand off my breast!”
“Er, sorry.”
Finally they were cheek to cheek looking out into the hallway. Arthryn entered the room, her black boots stomping on the floor boards. She rummaged around in the pantry for something. Mindi had her nose wrinkled.
“What’s wrong?” he whispered in her ear.
She shook her head and did not answer.
“Mindi? Oh no. Don’t you dare sneeze.”
She shook her head again and sneezed. She held most of it in, but a sound escaped.
Arthryn spun and looked around. Her eyes narrowed and she walked out of the pantry. Murtagh and Mindi held their breathes.
“Arthryn hurry up, I’m going to bleed to death.”
Arthryn sighed, “I’m coming. I’m coming.” She walked off. They waited until they could no longer hear her boots before they slipped, with a few more boob grabs, out of the broom closet. Mindi glared and Murtagh who put his hands in his pocket and looked anywhere but her.
“Shall we go?”
Mindi nodded and they got in the elevator. They exited the house and headed up the hill.
The two stopped at the driveway of a house. “Feanor lives here. He works with the boys.”
Murtagh nodded and looked down at her. She had not put her mask back on. She grinned, “You’re safe.”
Murtagh nodded and gently kissed her on the lips.(Mwhahahahah I know jelouse right? Well I figured if she is the betrayer she needs some benefit.) “Thank you,” he said.
Her grin grew and she turned and skipped down the hill. He turned back to the door and tried it. The door was unlocked. He opened it and followed the sounds of gunshots and tire squeals.
He looked at the four boys sitting in front of the TV.
Murtagh raised and eyebrow, “For all you know I could be used for some sex game and you guys are watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith?”
Codeman, Sly, Du and Feanor looked up.
“No way,” Codeman grinned.
“Impossible,” Sly and Du said together.
“What are you doing here?” Feanor asked.
Murtagh shrugged, “I got help.”
“From who?” the boys asked.
“Mindi.”
A week later, Du, Sly, codeman, Feanor and Murtagh sat around Murtagh house watching Reign of Fire.
“You know, I really hate how they interpret dragons,” Murtagh muttered.
The boys nodded in agreement. Suddenly the doorbell rang. The guys exchanged looks and paused the movie. Murtagh headed down the stairs and opened his doors. His breath was knocked out of him as 130 pounds of something rammed into his chest.
“They got her,” DF gasped, “Mindi, they found out she helped you.” Murtagh looked back at the boys who had gathered behind him. They were frowning. Dark music began to play in the background as Murtagh disentangled DF’s fingers from his shirt.
“Don’t worry. We’ll help her.”
That is the end. Until the sequel Saving Mindi. See you all soon.
