Chapter 1

It has been six years since Nick found Katie. Her relationship has grown very well with him.

Nick walked in to Katie’s room and over to her bedside. Shadowknight saw him but didn’t make a sound.

“Good morning Kitten” whispered Nick in to Katie’s ear.

“Ten more minuets Nick” said Katie on a mumbled tone as she threw her blanket over her head.

Nick pulled the blanket down to her shoulders and said “I thought you were excited about today, since it is you Birthday”

Katie quickly sat up in her bed.

“That got you up and happy birthday” said Nick as he kissed her forehead.

Katie smiled at Nick and said “so where is my present”

“Knew you were going to ask that” said Nick “you’ll get it later, for now it is a Na-i-sho”

Katie pouted, Nick laughed at the face she gave him.

“Alright” said Katie.

“Get dressed and come outside okay” said Nick as he left Shadowknight on his shoulder.

Katie got up and changed in to a sleeveless T-shirt (the sleeves were cut off), a pair of light gray sweat pants, black boots and her cape. She walked outside and was Nick, the rangers, Claire, Leeanbow, Udonna, Daggeron, Fireheart, and the Phoegons. Shadowknight flew over to Katie and landed on her shoulder and nuzzled her cheek as a Hello.

“Hello and good morning to you too” said Katie

The rangers, minus Madi and Xander, walked over to her and held out each a present.

“Thanks you guys” said Katie she hugged Chip and Vida.

“Go ahead and open them” said V

Katie sat down on one of the large roots and opened Chip’s first. Inside was a pair of gloves.

“It’s for when you practice your archery” said Chip.

Then Katie opened V’s. It was a small dragon figure. It was white with hints of blue in the scales.

“Thanks you two” said Katie

“No problem” said V

“And these two are from Madi and Xander” said Chip

“It’s a shame they aren’t here” said Katie

“Well Madi is at the University and Xander is still in England” said V

“When they get back I’ll thank them” said Katie

She opened Xander’s first it was a silver ribbon with a large Chinese dragon pendent. She tied it around her neck and open Madi’s. Inside was a video camera and a note attached, on the front it said:

Don’t read inside of the note until Nick gives you your present okay.

Daggeron and Clare walked over and handed Katie two presents. Katie opened Clare’s inside were two small plushies of her and Nick in ranger form.

“Aw they’re so Kawaii” said Katie

“They took a little while but I finished them” said Clare.

Then she opened Daggeron’s, it was a charm bracelet with a dragon, phoenix, phoegon, sword, bow and arrow and sapphire charms on it.

“It’s beautiful Daggeron thank you” said Katie

“You are welcome Selena” said Daggeron

“Our present will be given to you later” said Udonna and Leeanbow.

“Oh great another surprise present” said Katie with a laugh.
