A/N: Hello! I am writing a new chapter now. I believe the last one was too long. So this time I’m going to divide it in two. One world will equal two chapters. Unless, it’s you know one of those on-going things. Well, that’s the plan. Anyway, I’ll get the to writing now. So thanks for reading so far!

Anything For You

Separation Hurts

A New World

A New Headache

Kairi had left Sora to man the gummi ship alone as she explored the sleep quarters. It wasn’t that she was feeling tired; she just wanted to spend some time alone. She had many things on her mind. First, there was Radiant Garden and her parents. Then, Traverse Town and the amazing people that reside there. Lastly, Alice and the thoughts of what else could happen further into the future. Alice’s disappearance had frightened her a little. Could the heartless make anyone disappear? After they disappeared, where was the person taken? Her mind was buzzing with questions that she or Sora could not answer.

With a sigh she collapsed onto one of the beds and stared up towards the ceiling. Her amethyst eyes stared directly into the ceiling light. ‘Mother, Father…why couldn’t you be here? I know that you would have the answer to my questions. You two were the wisest in Radiant Garden, well, besides Merlin,’ Kairi thought escaping into her memories for a brief moment. She sighed once again and rolled over. Her eyes found the doorknob. Kairi frowned a bit. ‘I have a mission to complete I shouldn’t be sulking over the loss of my parents and of my home. It can all be restored once Sora and I save the worlds. I have to stay strong for my parents.’

She sat up on the bed, careful not to bump her head on the top bunk. She ran her feminine fingers through her auburn hair gracefully. The habits of a princess still lingered in her mind. She soundlessly removed her body from the bed and made her way towards the door. It was time for her to go regain her rightful spot next to Sora. If only she knew how right it was for her to be next to the islander.

After Kairi had left to go to the sleeping quarters Sora had started playing around with the gummi controls. He wanted to know what every button on the control panel did. Sora’s cerulean eyes gleamed with curiosity. He found that this ship had a turbo. Though he probably would never have to use it, it was nice to know that they had an easy get away if they were ever pursued. The entertainment he had found in the buttons quickly faded. He attempted to concentrate on steering, but found himself drifting off into his thoughts about his princess. How he enjoyed calling her that.

On Destiny Islands Sora had his small crushes that lasted for two weeks at most. He had his girlfriends that didn’t dare to stay around too long. Romance was something Sora wasn’t cut out for. He had always been the middleman of love. His girls always found his best friend more appealing. His best friend, Riku had the bad boy look. His face just said he couldn’t care less. Sora knew the real Riku and that is why they were such good friends even if he stole all of the girls. His go-luckiness had nothing on Riku’s bad boy attitude. Sora didn’t mind he just wanted his friends happiness.

“Sora, I’m back,” Kairi stated as she re-entered the cockpit. His eyes were glued to her very feminine frame as she glided to her seat. She was an angel from above. She smiled at him. “What are you staring at?” she asked naively.

Sora blushed faintly. “It’s nothing,” he mumbled turning in his chair to face the dashboard. He heard her harmonious giggle and felt his legs go numb. He was compelled to sigh happily. Kairi would make this journey all the more bearable.

“Are you sure?” Kairi asked. She had scooted closer to him and had been watching his every move since he had turned away from her. “You look too joyous for it to be nothing,” she whispered into his ear. She was unaware that the action she had just performed made the hormonal teenage boy beside her feel all tingly inside. His head slowly turned around to look at her, but got a glimpse of so much more. Due to the way her dress was cut at the top and the way her body was positioned he could see the roundness of her bust. He quickly turned away trying to hide the cherry-colored mug he now wore shamefully.

“It’s nothing! So what kind of world do you think we’ll visit next?” Sora asked speaking quickly as he tried to change the subject. That image would not be leaving his mind soon. Oh, how he wished he wasn’t such a hormonal boy.

Kairi pouted silently but moved back to her spot at the dashboard. “I don’t know. I just hope it won’t be as wacky as Wonderland was,” she replied staring at all the controls. She wished to know what he was staring at. It wasn’t fair that she should be left out. Never once did the thought occur to her that he was staring at her. She glanced back at Sora who was still trying to distract himself from the vulgar image. She smiled at him secretly. ‘If I’m with him I know this journey will be bearable,’ she thought.

“Kairi!”

She blinked. “Oh…yes?”

“Another world!” Sora exclaimed happily thrusting his fist into the air. “Prepare landing, Kairi.” Kairi nodded in response. As the gummi ship flew closer the princess noticed a tall castle standing still on the world. She noticed the small villages and the expanse forest that separated the castle from society. She just knew that this world wasn’t going to be any less confusing than the first.

The two heroes had a smooth landing in a large, grassy plain. Kairi immediately opened the gummi ship door and excitedly hurried out in the most lady-like manner possible. She rushed into the grass smiling happily. She spun around enjoying the bright sunlight. Perhaps this world wouldn’t be so bad. The princess danced gleefully unaware that her island pauper was once again watching her every graceful move with a big grin upon his features.

“She’s so beautiful,” Sora murmured as he slowly descended to the plain. He pushed the button to close the gummi ship back up and then made his way over to the princess. Kairi smiled at him.

“It’s so nice here, I think I may like this world,” she giggled softly.

Sora chuckled. “But you’ve only seen one part of it!” Kairi shrugged giving him an innocent glance. He felt his knees growing weak against gravity. “Well, what do you say we head to the village over there?” Instead of verbally replying she slipped her arm through his and began walking in that direction. He had no complaints.

As they sauntered through the plain the sound of horse hoofs became evident. The curious teens looked around for the source of the sound and briefly caught a glance of a single rider dashing out on their horse through the field. The person appeared to be in a hurry. The sun was beginning to set. “We should hurry, it’s going to get dark soon,” Sora advised. The princess nodded in response. They began to make a small run towards the village.

“I bet I can run faster than you!” Kairi exclaimed as she picked up speed and passed her guardian.

“Hey! Wait!” Sora cried chasing after her. Quickly, their small run turned into a sprint. They were able to reach the village in no time. Once she stepped foot on the cobblestone Kairi collapsed to her knees breathing hard. Sora plopped down beside her as tired as she was. “That was a g-good run, eh?” he breathed unconsciously resting his head on her shoulder. Kairi blushed suddenly feeling out of place. Sora was quick to notice her stiffness and removed his head muttering a small apology. He took in some more deep breaths before regaining his stance. He stuck out his hand offering to help Kairi to her feet. She gladly accepted the gentlemanly gesture.

She proceeded to dust off her dress while Sora took a visual tour through the village. He spotted a sign that said ‘Inn’. “How do you feel about sharing a room in an Inn?” he asked looking to the beauty beside him.

“Okay, I’m feeling tired,” Kairi replied once again linking arms with him. She rested her head on his shoulder as they walked into the village. Sora was instantly intrigued by the olden look. Villagers filled the streets busily going about their business. Each shop had a sign that said its name in fancy calligraphy. The buildings were close together and uniform in size. The ground had a larger cobblestone than in Traverse town. As they continued walking he spotted a fountain in the center of the town. Sheep were roaming around drinking from the water or just enjoying the sound of splashing water. The sight made him smile. What he didn’t notice were the stares the villagers were giving him and Kairi. It wasn’t every day this village got visitors.

Kairi yawned and looked behind her. She returned the inquisitive gazes of the townsfolk. “Sora, everyone’s staring at us,” she whispered tugging his arm a little.

“No they aren’t, Kairi you’re just being paranoid,” he replied nonchalantly.

“But they are look behind you!” she exclaimed still trying to keep her voice down. Sora turned his head and saw that Kairi had been telling the truth. After her outburst more eyes had joined the crowd. He chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his neck. “I told you,” she muttered releasing his arm. She stepped forward and placed her hands in front of her body, neatly clasping one over the other as she approached them. “I’m sorry that we intruded on your humble village, but we just got here and need a place to stay for the night,” she said politely. Kairi curtsied and kept her head bent downwards.

Sora was taken aback. She was so graceful, so kind. Her sweetness never ceased to amaze him. Kairi truly was a princess. He quickly walked up and joined her in her bow. He lowered his head feeling out of place. He was just an islander. He didn’t know anything about gracing an audience or respectful mannerisms.

Out of the crowd came a tall, dark haired man. He towered over the two travelers. His piercing light blue eyes scanned Kairi whose head was still tilted downwards. He stood in front of her completely ignoring Sora. The brunette’s head popped up and he stared the man down. He was wearing a red shirt that had a yellow collar. A brown belt was around his waist over the shirt. He wore tight black pants and had a pair of brown hunter’s boots on his feet. He wore matching yellow gloves and attached to his side was most likely his hunting dagger. Sora couldn’t really tell since it was on the side that was away from him. His body was highly muscular and his face looked as if angel’s had chiseled it. He had wavy ebony hair and a suiting gentlemanly grin that would make any girl feel faint.

Sora did not like him. Instinctively, Sora stood closer to Kairi and glared at the new man. The man continued to ignore him and stare at Kairi. Finally he spoke, “What’s a beautiful woman like you doing in this town with him?” He made an insulting motion to Sora whom returned it with a glare. “But sure we’ll give you a room, on me. All you have to do is give me your name, princess.” He grinned.

Kairi finally looked up and into the eyes of the stranger. “My name is Kairi and thank you for your hospitality,” she replied with a smile. Sora grew jealous.

“A lady like you shouldn’t be traveling alone with a man, it just isn’t proper,” he began.

“He’s not just any man…he’s my--,” Kairi stumbled. She glanced at Sora who was still glaring at the stranger. “He’s my husband.” Sora hid his shock. He had to remain cool. This sort of thing happened everyday, because Kairi always addressed him as husband. Sora nearly fainted. “The thing that isn’t proper is you not giving me your name,” Kairi added with a mischievous look in her eye.

He looked pleasantly surprised. “Well, well I am Gaston. It’s been a pleasure,” he murmured. With his last words being spoken he walked past Kairi and Sora and continued on through the town. Slowly the townspeople filed out of their circle of gawk and continued on with their daily lives.

Sora made a quick assessment. Gaston was the alpha male of this town. He faced Kairi to see what she thought of it all, but found that she wasn’t standing beside him. “Wha? Kairi!” he exclaimed turning around and seeing her retreating figure. He quickly ran and caught up with the princess. “Hey, why didn’t you grab me,” he asked.

She smiled. A smile that made his knees turn to gelatin. “I thought you were right behind me,” she answered serenely. How her voice made his heart flutter and he was suddenly unable to say anymore. Together, the two walked to the inn. Their steps were in sync and their movements were so agile and comfortable the couple truly did look deeply in love to the un-knowing onlooker. Once they arrived Sora held open the door for Kairi treating her like a lady and the princess she was, and well secretly wanting to catch her scent as she stepped through the doorway. She smelled as sweet as her caring personality. It was truly mesmerizing.

The two stood at the front desk. Strangely, there wasn’t a man or a woman behind the check in. Kairi politely tapped the bell that was next to where her hand had been resting on the desk. ‘Why didn’t I think of that?’ Sora thought a small frown on his face. A few moments later the clerk appeared from a doorway and quickly scurried behind the desk. He was a small man. He had a very round face, kindred blue eyes, and a fully-grown, bushy gray beard that fell to his knees. The beard seemed to make up for the lack of hair on his head.

“Well hello there, can I give you a room for the night?” he asked, his voice cheery.

“Yep, that’s what we’re here for, how much for a night?” Sora asked pulling a small pouch of munny from his back pocket.

“That’ll be 120 munny for a double bed room.” Sora suddenly did not like this small, chubby man. Sora only had 100 munny in his pouch. He turned to Kairi with a concerned look on his face as if to tell her through some mental connection that he didn’t have enough to pay for a double bed room.

She immediately understood the desperate look in his eyes. Kairi turned to the man with a small smile. “We won’t be needing two beds. A single is fine kind sir,” she said in a matter of fact tone. It was amazing how charismatic and articulate Kairi was when she was only the age of sixteen.

“Okay, then the price is 50 munny.” Sora hesitantly forked up 50 munny and placed it on the counter. The clerk handed Kairi the room key and she soon led Sora off down the hallway with his pouch still gingerly in hand. He definitely could not keep paying for expensive inn rooms.

“Well, this is it,” Kairi murmured, a nervous twinge to her angelic voice. She handed the key to Sora. He placed the key in the door and unlocked it. He gently pushed open the door and went inside after Kairi. He was happy that the room looked to be about its asking price. There was a bed decorated in green and yellow bed sheets in the far right corner. A nightstand was on each side with a green lamp on each. On the far left side of the room there was another door, probably leading to the bathroom. The closet had no door and was on the other side of the room. There was a window on the wall across from the door. The walls had yellow and green wallpaper to decorate them. The carpet looked smooth, Sora couldn’t tell because he was still wearing his shoes.

He shut the door and wandered farther into the room deciding he wanted to take a look out the window. There was a nice view of the fountain outside with the sheep roaming around it. Kairi cleared her throat. Immediately, Sora turned around to face her. “What is it, princess?” he asked in quiet, sincere tone.

She looked a bit uneasy. “Um…what will be the sleeping arrangements?” she asked quietly.

Sora scratched his head. For some reason he hadn’t realized earlier that a single meant only one bed would be inside the room. If Kairi had been his sister or someone that was extremely close to him he wouldn’t have minded sharing a bed with her. Though, it wasn’t like he minded now, it would just be awkward. The thought of sharing the bed with his beautiful princess blew him away, but he knew he and Kairi would both feel uncomfortable the entire night. So, he did the only thing he could do, well the gentlemanly option anyway. “I’ll sleep on the floor Kairi, you can have the bed,” he replied, smiling because her name escaped his lips.

Kairi felt a little guilty. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to push you onto the floor.” There was a sad look in her eyes that made Sora just want to hug her and assure her everything was fine. “I just didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable because you were sleeping next to me, I thought it might be weird for you…well, it’s strange for me as well, but I think I could stand for it, if you wanted.”

That was all Sora needed to hear from her. Almost too eagerly he answered, “I would be fine with it!” Sora quickly covered his mouth feeling as though he had tried to make a move on her. He nervously looked away. “I mean, I wouldn’t mind that much. Doesn’t bother me.” He missed her smile.

“Well, if that’s the case you won’t be sleeping on the floor,” Kairi said as she walked closer to him. She put her index finger under his chin and pulled his face so that it was looking at her. “You don’t have to shy away from me Sora. You’re a nice boy and you saved me. So, you shouldn’t hide your face.”

Sora began to wonder if there was a cure for lightheadedness and weak knees. She was so beautiful and there she was with her finger gently touching underneath his chin. There was a tingling feeling that spread throughout his being that he couldn’t explain. He just wanted her closer and closer. “Okay,” he forced himself to mutter as he fell into her amethyst eyes. She had a grip over him that couldn’t be explained.

Noticing that she was still holding his chin she quickly removed her finger, a wave of embarrassment coming over her. She placed it behind her back and fought back her own tingling feelings. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be so aggressive,” she squeaked. She quickly excused herself into the bathroom, locking the door behind her.

Sora let out a happy sigh. He kicked off his shoes and placed them in the closet wanting to be neat for Kairi. He practically floated to the bed. He plopped himself down taking the left side of the bed. He placed his arms beneath his head and stared up at the ceiling. Thoughts of Kairi, the legend, and Destiny Islands played throughout his head as he slowly slipped into sleep.

When Kairi emerged from the bathroom, finally calmed down, she noticed Sora had already fallen asleep. She let out a sigh of relief. She would have felt even more embarrassed had he been awake waiting for her. She quietly walked over to the bed and laid down beside the sleeping brunette boy. She turned on her side to face him. Her amethyst eyes trailed up from his toes to his peaceful looking face. He looked so calm in his sleep. In a way, he also looked happier, as if he was in a better place where things weren’t so difficult for him and he could be back home with friends and family.

She sighed. She wished she had that form of escape in her mind, but right now it had been invaded by heartless and a lingering sense of sadness for the loss of her parents and the rest of her world. Kairi rolled over on her other side, away from Sora. She stared at the wall until she drifted off into her own slumber.

Sometime in the middle of the night, the doorknob to their room began to jiggle and turn. The door quietly opened and a tall, muscular man stepped into the room with a burlap sack in his hand. It was none other than Gaston. He silently stepped across the room and made his way to the bed. He stood in front of the sleeping Kairi. He placed the burlap sack over her body and tied the string at the top. He was surprised she was a heavy sleeper. Nonetheless, he began to walk towards the door. Unfortunately, Sora wasn’t a heavy sleeper, at least not tonight.

“Hey! What do you think you’re doing!” Sora shouted angrily. The keyblade had already been summoned and he was standing on top of the bed ready to whack Gaston and beat him senseless.

“Ha, you think you can stop me boy?” Gaston asked slinging Kairi over his shoulder.

Sora swung his blade, but Gaston caught it with his free hand and ripped it from Sora’s possession. Awestruck, Sora was unable to do anything before Gaston punched him in the face and sent him flying into the wall. Sora quickly fell unconscious to the sounds of Kairi’s screams.

A/N: Wow…this took a whole year to write. I might consider saving this one for later…by deleting if of course. Well, review if you can Thank you.
