Gold Locked into Silver

Disclaimer-I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist, because then they would never pry me off of Edward. I heart ED.

Summary:

Edward never thought he could ever fall in love with him. He was always the one to pick on Ed for his height. But was the other simply trying to get his feelings heard through cruel methods? Sometimes love is an entire love-hate thing.

As he prepared to board the train, he had the sudden hope of finally getting to see his old enemy. He would make him pay for all the comments he cracked about his height. Now was the time for revenge. Oh, he loved revenge.

He boarded the train with his younger, yet somewhat taller brother following close behind. He swore to himself he would always protect his younger brother no matter what come in his way. Whether it was the revenge he swore, or finding his own information, it didn’t matter compared to his brother. Nothing would hurt him or his brother. The younger brother took the same oath, but to protect his older brother and make sure they were both happy. Their dreams had some how merged into one: to make sure the other was safe and happy. It all worked out in the end.

Train rides had become a regular to the two brothers. The older wasn’t so fond of it, but the younger couldn’t complain. He had no body to feel the uncomfortable hard seats or feel the cold ness of them either. He still had a metallic body, but he did have a normal fleshy body once. But those years seemed like centuries to the brothers.

They committed the ultimate taboo, and now they were suffering for it with a body of armor, and metal limbs. They had lost their ultimate goal in the end, but at least they still had each other. They were the only people they had left in this suffering called life.

The older brother was so lost in his own thoughts he didn’t even hear his brother call him

“Brother!” The younger one exclaimed.

“Huh?! I mean … sorry what is it Al?” the older one answered in surprise.

“You’re not planning revenge are you?”

“Of course I am! He called me short…1, 2, 3…” He exclaimed before pausing to count the times.

After what seemed like an eternity of counting, the blonde boy finally realized the exact number.

“1,558,663!”He called out when he finally realized it.

“What about it?” Al asked confused at the random number from his brother.

He gave a blank stare at his brother. Al looked more confused as ever as they continued their quiet trip to the place that the blonde boy couldn’t wait to get to.

The desert seemed hotter than usual today. As the boy and his brother crossed the never-ending plain of sand, the older brother had a sudden thought in his head. He actually did want to see the other blonde brother. He told himself it was for revenge, but was it really?

The elder had always known of his own sexuality. He never admitted it to his own brother but he had always known he was odd in his own way. He had adored men, but not all of them. He liked men more than woman because he knew what men felt and had to go through. Although he might never find a young man that went exactly what he went through, but he knew their feelings. But he had his limits too. He wouldn’t date men older than himself or if the man was a threat to their mission. Every gay had to have some limit somewhere.

As they continued to cross the desert town, they were greeted with familiar faces. Some not to happy and others were happy just to see them in town. The brother’s just waved awkward smiles to the mad ones and smiled really big at the others.

As the got deeper into the city Edward, the eldest could see the mansion of the brothers he wanted to see. All of a sudden his heart beat increased and he felt his face heat up. Why was this happening?! He couldn’t be nervous to see him. He was just so mad to see that bastard! Yeah that was the answer. He told himself this as they both headed toward the mansion.

When they got to the house they noticed it was unusually quiet. When Ed got in the building and eerie feeling came over him. He made Alphonse go ahead of him just to make sure. As Al walked past through front door untouched, Ed felt confident enough to go through untouched. He walked smugly through the door and then it hit him.

No it literally hit him. Actually it was a frying pan to the face that hit him. It hit him square in the face. Right between the eyes. IT would have been funny if he didn’t have a nose bleed.

“WHAT’RE YOU DOING HERE?!” Was the only thing that was said when the frying pan hit him. It wasn’t his voice or his brother’s or the younger brother of his enemy. It was his enemy’s voice. The bastard was now standing over him as he cringed in pain.

“Brother!”

The younger brother known as Fletcher turned to his older brother, Russell to scold him. “Russell! How could you?! They are our friends now.” He shouted at his brother and crouching down next to Ed. Russell just scratched the back of his head and dropped the frying pan.

“Uh…old habits are umm… hard to break?” he said calmly while shrugging and putting his palms out. Everyone in the room gave him a blank stare. Yeah like that was highly believable. After the moment of not-believing a word the weirdo said, Fletcher returned to scolding Russell.

While Russell was getting a good talking to, he made an embarrassed face that looked so cute on him. Ed noticed and blushed at the sight. But he couldn’t understand why he was blushing. He couldn’t like Russell. It was wrong and could never happen. Never ever in his entire life. No.

After the talking to, Russell helped Ed get up. “Come on shrimp, get up.” He told his rudely. Ed just puffed his breath angrily before noticing something odd about Russell’s face. He was blushing. But he was blushing as he helped Ed up. When he grabbed his hand, they both seemed to be blushing a darker color.
