This is my first Death Note fanfic ever!

Sorry if it goes as a Mary-Sue but...Old habits die hard XD

Disclaimer:I do not own Death Note or any of it's characters.I only own my OC and her storyline.

Background info:It takes place in our time ,however Light does not own a Death Note and he and L are friends from L is still a in my world,some other things may be waay different than in the manga and anime.

Chapter I

Meetings

The class was full of talking students.

It was a typical Monday,everyone was sleepy and ticked off by the school.

The Sun's rays peeked into Class 221,where everyone was sitting and not paying attention to the teacher,who did his best to fulfill his job and teach some Literature to these disobeying pupils.

However,there were only two exceptions,who weren't talking.

One was Light Yagami,who was the best student of all the time so he of course,listened to .

Light's short,brown hair covered some amount of his face,and he had a pair of brown was wearing his normal,school uniform,as was the son of Chief Yagami,who was an important person to the NPA.

Even so,Light was the best student,he was also famous with the ladies,but he did not care about those young chicks,who were only after his look.

The other one who was silent,was Ryuzaki,who silently sat at his desk,with curled up legs and staring out of his head had middle-lenghted,black spiky hair and cold grey eyes,which were wrapped up in black circles,due to his sleepless nights.

He was wearing his same,blue baggy jeans and a white shirt as usual.

His studies were good,but not as good as his best friend's,Light's.

It was strange,how Light and Ryuzaki were friends,since they both were the opposites of each Ying and ,Ryuzaki was not the ladies man,nor everyone's had no friends due to his look and weird habits.

Light sighed and leaned against his palm,which held his fine featured face.

He lazily watched ,who, at the moment was lecturing one of his classmates.

Purely bored,Light looked behind himself,to flash a bored smile towards Ryuzaki,who was already deep in slumber,while nibbling his thumb and an arm wrapped around his shook his head,amused and turned back to .

As soon as Light turned back,the bell rang,signaling the lesson ended.

Everyone immediatley jumped up and,ignoring the teacher,began packing.

The brown-haired best learner grinned and stood up,heading towards his still sleeping nudged Ryuzaki's arm.

"Ryuzaki!Wake up!Literature ended!"

"Huuuuuuuuuuuuuh?"Ryuzaki lazily opened his eyes,thumb still between lips,and with big lazy eyes he looked at the brown haired youth."Heeey,Light,whassup?How was Literature?"

Light chuckled and shook his head."Boredom as on,we'll have a lesson with the headteacher,so move your big lazy butt and let's move to class 224!"

"Alright,alright.."mumbled the dark haired one,and began packing in his grinned and began packing his own bag too.

The friends sat down in class 224.

Ryuzaki ended up in the last desk and no one sat beside him,while Light had girls who were fighting over,who should sit next to Light did was slap his own forehead in god,the headteacher came in fast,starting the lesson.

Their teacher had brown,spiky hair and green was tall and slim and like most of the pupils (meaning:everyone except Ryuzaki) he was wearing the school's uniform.

"Sit down,ladies and gentlemen!I got some news and a newcomer for you!"

Finally, a red haired girl ended up next to ,she was so nervous about Light,she did not even speak to him,she was only blushing all the had a hard time,stiffling his gave his best friend a killing glare,then turned to their headteacher.

"Now then,if everyone's ready,I'd like to introduce you to your new classmate."

In that instant,the whole class began to talk at the same turned to Ryuzaki.

"Hey,what do you think?A chick or another guy?"

Ryuzaki thoughtfully nibbled on his thumb.

"Let's hope it's a chick..."Light grinned at Ryuzaki's answer.

"Let's hope so, he/she will sit next to ya?"

"Bet are a lot of free spaces,and I like to sit ."

"Dork."Light chuckled and turned back.

"Enough talk!" the headteacher shouted. "Be polite and greet your new classmate!"with that,he turned to the door. "Miss Lyna,would you mind coming here and introduce yourself?"

Lyna,a girl?Wonder how she looks.Ryuzaki that moment,a gentle,songful female voice answered to the headteacher.

"Of course,Kalman-san."

Footsteps were heard and Ryuzaki stretched his neck to get a better continued to look at the door,full of a moment,black boots,then the whole girl entered the class.

She was wearing dark purple tighs,and a black mini her torso,she wore a black-leather clad her neck,she wore a dragon pendant,and also on her boots,she had a dragon-like chain around the neck of nails weren't painted,but she wore a dragon ring on one finger of her left hand.

Her eyes wre crystal blue,and she had a nice,friendly face,which wore lightbrown hair,which also had several natural red colours in it.

Ryuzaki's jaw dropped in amazement,and so did many male' grinned to himself.

Lyna turned to the class and gave a warm smile before introducing herself.

"My name's Drakewind."she said and 's jaw still did not go back to it's normal noticed it and smiled at that moment,Ryuzaki's mouth returned to his eyes were still wide as a plate.

"I came from the UK but got bored of it and moved to Kanto and now I'd like to study I could get in,I hope I can fit in this class,because as far as I heard and saw,I really like it."Some male students began to giggle at this noticed that Ryuzaki too was giggling,but far too childishly.What the heck...?Why is ...?Ooooh,now I get it...Light smiled to constructed a plan in his mind.

"I'm seventeen years old,I have a brother...And I think that's all for a quick introduce,right?"she turned to the headteacher,who nodded.

"Lyna-san,please go take a are a plenty of them."Lyna nodded and turned to the class course the guy part of the class,who had a spare seat next to them,began tapping on the empty 's corners of mouth turned down as he saw the newcomer girl walking towards a closed his eyes.Gee...he thought.

Plopp.

Hmm?he opened his eyes and immediatley noticed.

Lyna sat next to him.

She turned to him with a smile.

"Hey,nice to meet you."she said and held out her hand."I'm Lyna."

"Errr...Um,nice to meet you,I'm Ryuzaki -"he took her hand." and he is my best friend,Light there."he said,nodding towards Light,who already turned to them.

"Hey,I'm Light Yagami,nice to meetcha."

"Nice to meet you too,Yagami-kun."she said and shook hands.

"Now then...Students,listen now!I got other news,directly from the Headmaster himself!"the headteacher turned back."It is about the school's upgrades and-"

"Oh boy."Ryuzaki moaned and leaned against his knees."Not again..These damn upgrades.."

"Upgrades?"Lyna nodded,and turned his head sideways,so his left eye could be seen.

"Our school wants to be the best,not just in education,even in everytime we need to pay a certain amount of yen because of these stupid upgrades."

"And I always forget to bring 'em."Ryuzaki frowned.

"Because you are always busy,right,Ruzaki?"

"I really am!"his best friend giggled,which made Ryuzaki blush.

The trio walked on the street,laughing all the time.

Lyna told a lot of funny stories to the two best friends and they too had a lot of funny stories to also they had to tell her all the gossips which they found interesting.

"...And also they say the headmaster is a real pimp!"Light said as they strode on the 's eyes went wide.

"No...you are joking..!"

"He ain't."Ryuzaki added and now she turned to him."We saw him with er...quite a few girls,right,Light?"

" why?Because you almost got detention,Ryuzaki."Light made Lyna a bit disappointed.

"Ryuzaki!"she said in a rather funny tone.

"Hey!I can only sleep in school and the damn Civilisation teacher does not understand this!"

"Why do you sleep during lessons?"Lyna suddenly looked away and Ryuzaki cleared his throat.

"Because of my 's pretty boring but it is very benefitting."

"Oh."Was all the girl walked in silence when suddenly at the crossroads Lyna stopped.

"I have to turn to the right to reach my you later guys!"she waved and walked chuckled and turned to his friend.

"Well?What do you think?"

Ryuzaki scratched the back of his head.

"She's cute I'd likes to be close to opinion?"

"Same as ...How's the case of yours going?"

"Going?Light,I solved that last night.I'm free at last...until the next one comes."Ryuzaki shook his head.

"Before I could ask about it's improvements,you already solve wouldn't be you if it weren't happen like this."

"Hehehe...Now let's go to the cake store.I'm hungry."

"Oh dear god...not again."Light slapped his forehead and followed his sugar-obsessed friend to the cake store.

Lyna walked happily towards her appartment.

She made friends right at the beginning of her education!

I think I'll get along with Ryuzaki and Light quite well...Ryuzaki's so cute!Light is handsome but more serious than his friend.she she walked,she noticed something black lying on the ground.

"Huh?Whussat?"she asked walked towards it and as soon as she was close,she noticed that the thing that lay there was a black bent down and noticed it's title.
