Final Friends
Chapter 15
"Keno?"
"Yeah Shippo?" she answered, looking up at her friend, her golden eyes reflectign off the sunset. Shippo blushed even deeper at the sight of her in this state. She was wearing a different attire now. She was wearing a white 'toptank', or something from Kagome's world, along with a firerat red skirt. She had cut her hair, it all was nice and neat.
"Um, I just want to ask you something, that's all," Shippo gulped as he satred at the ground in front of him. He was trying not todo anything stupid or say anything stupid. It was really scary when she or her parents got angry. She stopped in her tracks and turned to him.
"Okay. Go ahead and shoot," Keno giggled as she reached for his hand, holding it in her clawed hand, making him blush ever darker.
"Um, Keno, I've always liked you. Your pretty, nice, and strong. I just never had the guts to say that out loud," Shippo whispered nervously, Keno looking dumbfounded.
"You used to like me?" Keno whispered confused. Shippo shook his head.
"N-no. I still do! It's just that...I was scared of you. That I would get rejected," Shippo whispered sadly. "You think I'm a complete doofus wench, don't you?" Keno shook her head as she smiled weakly at him.
"I don't mind yuo liking me. I always sorta liked you deep down," Keno said happily. "I just never thought that you would ever like me. I thought it'd take a-"
"Miracle?" Shippo breath as she smiled with her nodded.
"Thanks Shippo. I will go out with you if you want me to," Keno offered. "I wouldn't mind either. I would enjoy it." Shippo's face lit up as he nodded quickly.
"Thanks Keno. I love you." She blushed at the sudden outburst.
"I-I love you too, Shippo."

"Kagome?"
"Yeah, Sango?" Sango scratched her arm nervously.
"Are you scared of it? Having a baby?" Sango asked softly. Kagome smiled weakly at her best friend who was almost her sister.
"Y-yeah, but I mean, you've had 5, and you took it like a fighter, but then again, you are a fighter..." Kagome trailed off. Sango smiled weakly at her best friend.
"The first time is always the worst, no matter what, but the thing is the pain gets less and less the more children you have," Sango said happily. "At least, that's what happens to me..." Kagome smiled weakly.
"The first one hurt for you because it was Keno. She was a demon," Kagome explained. "How much worse was it?"
"It was really bad, but it was because of her demonic aura, that's all," Sango explained with a grin. "I'm sure Keno will be happy that she'll have another sibling. Mostly because it'll be a demon and it's her father's."
"Yeah. She's been really lonely all these years, being part of a demon, I mean," Kagome explained. "Or being the only demon child of you or InuYasha. She always said she felt left out." Sango closed her eyes.
FLASHBACK!
"InuYasha?" He looked up at the sound of his name as he threw a 3-year-old Keno up in the air, catching her.
"Yeah? What is it, Sango?" he asked looking confused.
"I could always tell by when the first time I met you, that you were always alone, just by your attitude. That's why you care about us so much. Us being your friends. That's why you wouldn't ever let us die," Sango whispered out of the blue, staring at the sky. They always just sat together with Keno at least once a day. He blushed at the sudden comment as he cradled Keno in his lap, her chewing on his firerat sleeve.
"W-well, yeah. I mean, I was always alone once my mom died," InuYasha explained. "I didn't like any part of that old life. And after Kikyo...everything started to get a whole lot better once I met you and the others." Sango looked at the grass in front of her.
"I'm sorry, but we made a big mistake," Sango whispered. InuYasha looked up at her.
"What are you talking about? We already said that we never meant for this to happen, but we also said we will never call her a mistake," InuYasha corrected.
"I'm not saying she's a mistake, I'm saying that we made a mistake. She might end up like you," Sango whispered softly. InuYasha stared angrily.
"What's that supposed to mean?" he asked his eyes starting to narrow. "What, am I a mistake? Is something wrong with me?" Sango shook her head.
"No, it's not that. I mean, she'll be kind of lonely. She'll be the only child from me and you, so she'll know something's wrong," Sango explained. "She'll know something's different about her." InuYasha sighed.
"I know this, okay? You don't have to tell me," InuYasha snapped. "You went through enough carrying her, and now she's gonna go through plenty 'cause she's here. I'm sure when you and Miroku have your children, she'll see that she's different because she'll be the only one with silver hair and golden eyes. She's not going to be stupid. But we'll just have to help her through it, so she won't be alone like I was." Sango looked at the grass, still unsatisfied.
"B-but, the only demon child-"
"What, do you want me to sleep with you again so you could have her a baby brother!?" InuYasha asked as Sango shook her head frantically. He 'feh'ed and looked away. "Then deal with it. You knew this because we talked about this, so don't go bringing it up." Sango sighed.
"I can only hope she won't be a handful like you," Sango muttered as Keno rolled forward out of her father's lap into the grass reaching for a butterfly. InuYasha's ears twitched in aggravation.
"What'd you say!?"
"Nothing!"
FLASHBACK ENDED!
"Sango!" She broke out of her trance.
"Huh?"
"You were in sort of a daze," Kagome explained. "Are you okay?" Sango nodded as she rubbed her eyes, like she was about to cry.
"I'm fine," Sango whispered. Kagome looked at her confused.
"You sure? You look like your about to cry," Kagome asked as ehr friend nodded.
"Yeah, just thought of a bad memory," Sango stated as she smiled weakly. "Come on, let's start dinner before InuYasha bursts in asking if were done every five minutes."

"Lord Sesshomaru, are you ready to head off?" Run asked as she prepared to leave as everyone was preparing for them to head off. Keno gave Rin a hug as Sesshomaru kissed Sango's hand.
"Don't forget to visit, you wench of a swordsman," Keno joked as Rin grinned at her.
"I promise, you mangy mutt," she said as she saw Keno grin back. Rin turned back and smiled happily at Shippo as he started to blush. "Bye Shippo." He blushed even darker as she kissed his forehead, Keno elbowing him in the stomach, making him gag.
"Ugh! I mean, er, bye Rin," Shippo answered back, avoiding Keno's eyes nervously. "I'll see you later!" Rin crossed between Keno.
"Next time you see me, I'll make sure that Shippo'll come after me next time," Rin whispered mischeviously. Keno felt a chuckle and a growl mixed emerge from her throat.
"Go anywhere near him and I'll cut your throat you wench," She whispered angrily, "Not to mention, you have to protect, (sigh) your beloved Lord Sesshomaru!" Rin glared at her as Sesshomaru and her started to walk off quickly.
"Bye everyone!!" Rin called as Sesshomaru said nothing. "We hope to visit you again sometime! Don't forget us!!" Keno smiled and waved calling back happily.
"Hey, Keno!" She turned around, seeing Kagome.
"Yeah?"
"You might not have heard, but...your going to have a little brother or sister!" Kagome said happily. Keno shook her head.
"I have about 4 of those already, Aunt Kagome," Keno replied smartly.
"How many of them are QUARTER demons like yourself?" Keno gasped as she turned around, practically jumping up and down.
"Are you serious!?" Kagome nodded as she saw the girl squeal and run over to her father and annoy her. Sango smiled weakly at her daughter.
"Finally." She looked at Miroku as she felt a wandering hand. She swatted it away.
"Finally what?"
"Kagome's having InuYasha's baby, and then there's Sesshomaru leaving," Miroku said with a sigh of relief. Sango's eyebrow twitched slightly.
"What's wrong with Sesshomaru?" Miroku gulped realizing Sango was still kinda protective of him.
"It's just, he could have taken you away from me," Miroku simply explained. Sango smiled weakly.
"Yeah, he could have," Sango whispered softly. "But he didn't." Sango gave him a kiss. "You're lucky he was nice enough to give me back to you." Miroku chuckled.
"Yeah, we know you would pick me over Sesshomaru anyday, right?" Miroku asked as Sango made a 'keep thinking that way if you want' face as she walked away. Kagome giggled as Miroku looked at her again. "S-Sango? You would pick me, right? Right? Sango!"
A/N: I'm finally done! Yes! Oh well, I guess that this means that I have to finish another story now. Bye!
