Its Raining, It's Pouring!

It was poring down like you wouldn't believe.

Honestly, I've lived here in the northwest cost for my whole life and it still amassing to me how much water can come out of the sky. Thus I was sitting in my jeep pulled over on the shoulder staring out the windshield hoping to any and all the gods I would be able to get home with in the day.

"Oy…" I sighed as it just kept on raining, and raining and raining some more.

Me? You ask who am I?

I'm Cassidy. I'm about four foot six, yes I know that I'm a short little thing, my hair is about down to my mid back and in a loss braid, it's a green color and I have gray eyes. No, I did NOT mean to have green hair. It was the last thing on my mind. I had black died hair, at lest until I got to the YMCA pool...

Words to take to hart people: NEVER die you hair black and go to the pool latter that same day! I wish some one told me that before hand.

I have a small billed and am seen mostly in blue jeans, white runners, a blue jean jacket, a black t-shirt with yellow writing on it saying, "FEAR me! I got a frying pan, an attitude and PMS!" Last but not least a silver chain with a crystal pendent that my farther got me for Christmas some odd years back. Oh, and no, I don't ware make up. I hate the evil stuff.

I eyed the water-covered road again, then my stuff in the passenger seat. At lest I can getting some homework done. Ahhh… Sociology text books, what fun!

Not.

I sighed again and look out down the road. To my immense surprise I saw a bunch of cars coming this way. WHOA! Is that a Porsche? What the hell is a car like that doing way- Holy cow! There were two Lamborghini's as well! Was there a car show or something going on out here that I didn't know about? I'm sure I would have heard something about it if there was one from my car-crazed boyfriend… Whoa, a red Lamborghini I could understand but YELLOW? Yes…there was both a red Lamborghini and a yellow Lamborghini.

Well at least there wasn't any other Lamborghinis around in that color so he'd stand out, and... and… they aren't stopping. Drat! I wanted to get a better look as that thing. Hmm, you would think the people with those kind of sports cars would stop here with the river flooding like it was.

Unless they didn't know that it was…

"CRUD!" I slammed on my horn trying to warn them not to go any farther, but would they listen? Nooo… Well I tried to tell them! Why do people with cars like that never listen to the locals? I'm the one who's been waiting for the flooding to stop for the last hour and a half.

Sure enough the three sporty cars came creepy back and all were covered in muck. I couldn't help but laugh my skinny little butt off as they pulled up both behind and beside me. Hey it's not MY fault they didn't heed my warning!

The two Lamborghini's parked side by right behind my jeep as the Porch slid to a stop right along side of me, hugging the solid ground with all four tires and brakes. I looked over to give the driver of the now grim disguise Porsche an 'I-Told-You-So' look, but his (or her) windows were tinted so much I could see in.

Not like that stopped me form making faces at them though!

Yeah I know I am immature half the time.

Scarifying my Top Gun tape, I popped it out and tuned into 1250 am for the news. Yay! I can get home in a little bit! Grinning I shoved the tape back in, tossed my sociology book and notes into the passenger seat and started up the jeep. In a few minutes I was haply driving down to another bridge that wasn't over run by the river, singing horribly off key to the words of 'Mighty Wings.'

I was heading back to Mt. Backer when I noticed that the Porsche was doing it's best to follow me. I say that, you see, because a Porsche is a low-slung car meant for the highways. My jeep on the other hand has a nice, high undercarriage; that and I have four-wheel dive. Plus my jeep LOVES weather like this. Honestly, I think one of those freaky alien robot things infected my jeep a while ago. Like, just before I got it.

Either that or it was something in the oil my boyfriend fed it.

Oh, looks like the Porsche was having an easier time following me then the other two.

"Oh yeah, suuuure, now you're doing what the local girl is doing." I muttered shaking my head.

Tourists…

Sighing I glanced at my rearview mirror and eyed the three. I got the feeling that they were lost. That might be way they where fallowing me. There seem to be a thing built into people that said something like: "Hey! She/he looks like their going let's fallow them till we're not lost."

I sighed again as I rolled down my window and waved at the Porsche to fallow me before shifting gears and I headed for I-5. Well, I can go to the library in town and if the river floods over again I my be able to bunk with a friend.

It took fifteen minutes to get to the onramp and as I started going north the slightly cleaner Porsche passed me to go south and gave a friendly 'Beep! Beep!' in what I guessed was thanks. Huh, looks like some people still remember their manners…unlike a couple of Lamborghini drivers. If I didn't like those cars so much I think I might have flipped them off.

Oh well. What do you expect of out-of-towners?

Queen's note: This if just a one shot I found deep with in the dark corners of Forgotten Word Documents in the back of my computer. So I brushed off the cob-webs here, fixed it up a tad there and this is what you get.
