Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto, Yondy would be the leader of Akatsuki, Tobi would be Obito, and Naruto would have already pimped up the rasengan.

A/N: Yaay! My first non-crappy fic! I hope you like it. This is dedicated to my weird friends at school, especially Alyssa and Mariah.

Twilight
He was the day and she was the night they were fated to meant only once in the sweet caress of twilight.

Burning!
The whole world was burning before his deep cerulean eyes. The innocent were running, screaming for their lives. The children lay long forgotten under the feet of the adults. All that mattered was to get out. To leave. To run.
But not to the shinobi. They stayed, they fought. While others ran away, they ran toward it.
This isn’t right, he thought, the village is supposed to be impenetrable
The girl with the mask of a cat ran up beside him, “Fox,” she said, “The hawk requests your presence on the front line.”
“Hai!” Came his unheard response.
He ran to the front of the group, in between the hawk and the dragon, “You requested my presence.”
“Yes. Fox, the Queen wants you on the front line. Your kage bushins will do her good there.”
He nodded, this was war. You did what you were told.
He ran ahead of the main group and took a sharp left, toward the gaping hole in the wall. He calculated his chances, and came up with a plan to cut through the forest and come at them from the side.
As he ran through the tall old bamboo and oak trees, he swore that he saw flashes of black every so often.
It’s just the light, he told himself, just the light
Half way through the forest, he saw a girl perched atop a short stalk of bamboo.
Long ebony locks hid her face from view. She wore a white shirt with long blue sleeves and a pair of navy Capri pants. She had the weapon holster of a ninja strapped to her right thy, but he could not find a hita-ate anywhere.
She looked familiar, he thought, like an old friend from times long past. He stopped in front of the browning bamboo stalk, “Miss,” he said, “It is not safe here. Please, go back to the Hokage Monument. You’ll be safe there.”
The girl looked up, only then did Naruto realize who she was. Her white eyes shone through her dark hair like the moon rising late in the dark sky.
“Hinata,” his voice, intended to be loud enough for her to hear, came out as a soft whisper.
Here, right before his eyes, was the girl he had been searching for for many long years. The girl with eyes of the moon and hair of the night. The one who he had unconsciously fallen in love with.
“H-Hinata,” he tried again, this time loud enough for her to hear, “Hinata, why are you here?” he commanded, “You went MIA years ago! Neji nearly killed himself looking for you! Tenten had to knock him out just to drag him back to Sakura for treatment of his wounds! We searched, but you could not be found!”
The girl lifted her head a bit more, this time revealing a slight smile on her pink lips, “Naruto-kun,” she said softly, her voice was like newly fallen snow, “Go to where the sun and the moon meet. There you will find me.”

He shot straight stiff on his bed and pulled a dark hand through his golden hair, he sighed and opened his eyes, only then did he notice the various tubes and such running from his arm to machines at the bedside. The hospital.
“Where the sun and the moon meet,” he breathed his voice husky with sleep, “That is where I go. Twilight.”
A/N:
Hahaa! Yet another annoying plot bunny out of my head and onto paper… err, computer…
Well anyways, this is just a story that I’ve been mooning over and trying to get written down for a while. Don’t expect any fast updates. I only write when I have ideas, otherwise it turns out forced and crappy (i.e. the High school fic I’ve been working on).
So, basically, I’m looking for reviews on what you thought about this chapter. If you don’t like this then I’ll just drag the little icon on my screen over to the recycle bin and get it over with.
