A Moment Like This

By: Arya Toa of Elements

Disclaimer: I do not own Bionicle, I only own Tara. The song 'A Moment Like This' belongs to Kelly Clarkson, and the song 'Lucky' belongs to Brittney Spears.(Dumb bitch blonde that she is...oh, crap! I just described myself! Dumb, a bitch, and blonde...)

What if I told you it was all meant to be

Would you believe me

Would you agree

It's almost that feelin'

We've met before

So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy

When I tell you love has come here now

Taryen Elizabeth Voya, Toa of Fire & Ice sat with her legs hanging over the edge of the cliff as she stared out at the sunrise illuminating the crystal-like snow in Ko-Wahi. Her mind sifted through her thoughts and feelings. She barely remembered her parents, and her older brother, Tahu, never talked about them. How she wished she could’ve know them! But no, they were murdered when she was very young.

The Toa sighed, brushing a piece of ebony black hair out of her face. She was usually emotionless. Her spirit had one rule. Expect the unexpected, stay calm and collected, and don’t get attached. ‘It seems as if the latter, is now a broken promise.’ Tara reflected, her mind wandering to the attractive Toa Nuva of Ice.

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Some people search forever

For that one special kiss

Ohh, I can't believe it's happening to me

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Life, it seemed, was unnaturally cruel. Kopaka loved no one, herself least of all, considering the hatred of each other that her brother and Kopaka shared. Tara shook her head. Then her emerald green eyes looked up at the horizon, as part of a song she wrote about herself popped into her head. Then the Toa threw back her head and sang,

“And they say.. She's so Lucky, She's a star, But she cry cry cries in her lonely heart, Thinking, if there's nothing missing in my life, Then why do these tears come at night? …”

“You have a beautiful voice Tara.” A voice said from behind her. Tara whirled around, “Kopaka!” she gasped.

Everything changes

But beauty remains

Something so tender

I can't explain

Well I maybe dreamin'

But 'till I awake

Can we make this dream last forever

And I'll cherish all the love we share

Tara felt the blood rush to her cheeks, she never let anyone listen to her sing. “I-I didn’t- I didn’t see you there..” The younger Toa felt her heart hammer against her chest as Kopaka walked over and sat down next to her. Kopaka smiled at her, melting Tara’s heart. ‘Oh Mata-Nui..’ she thought, staring at the elder Toa with a small smile on her face. “No need to be embarrassed by you talent,” Kopaka said staring into the other Toa’s eyes. “You are a beautiful singer, you know.”

Tara’s blush deepened. “T-Thanks Kopaka…”

Kopaka began to stroke Tara’s arm, unconsciously. “Why are you so nervous Tara?” Emerald green slowly lifted to meet pools of icy blue, an emotion, the female Toa couldn’t place, swirling in their depths. “I-I’m not nervous!” Tara squeaked. He was close, too close. Kopaka smiled knowingly.

“Oh, I think you do…”

“No I d-“ Tara began to protest, but was cut of as Kopaka captured her lips in his own in a passionate kiss.

Could this be the greatest love of all

I wanna know that you will catch me when I fall

So let me tell you this

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Some people wait a lifetime

For a moment like this

Some people search forever

For that one special kiss

Tara froze in shock for a moment, then realized she wasn’t dreaming, and pressed herself against Kopaka’s strong build. Kopaka’s hand laid on her cheek as the kiss deepened. ‘I can’t believe this is happening to me!’ Tara thought, as her heart filled with joy and happiness.

When the two finally pulled away from the spell-binding liplock, both faces were flushed. “K-Kopaka…” Tara murmured as she was held tightly against the Toa chest. “I love you Taryen Elizabeth Nuva…I always have, and I always will.”

Tara’s eyes filled with tears. “I love you too,” She whispered. Kopaka smiled and wrapped her in his arms, laying his head on top of hers. The two stayed in that position for a long time, watching the sunrise.

A/N: Yeah, this is just a fic I wrote today, so it’s not all that good. I may revise it in the future, the ending sucks, but I couldn’t think of a good one so…whatever, and the Brittney Spears song? I hate her, but the song relates to Tara and it's been stuck in my head for WEEKS now...Press the little periwinkle button and I’ll give you a cookie and hot chocolate. :D
