Kyo's Bad Day
CH-8 ~ Paul Frank
---
Author’s Note 1: Once again, I’m so sorry about the long update. I’m still trying to get my life back in order. I mean, hey, it’s hard breaking 7-year habits. And you know what they say, bad habits die hard.
Special Thank You To: I just want to say thank you to the readers that still read this fanfiction. You guys are the best, *hugs*.
Author’s Note 2: Oh and guys, review please. They really, really, really, really help me continue my stories. *Sobs* I suffer from low self-esteem. Therefore, when you guys don’t review, it makes me think that you don’t like it. This, in turn, shoots down my already low self-esteem and I end up not writing anymore of that story. Don’t believe me? For my story, “Paine’s Past” it took two years for me to get my first review. Now, because this person decided to take less than 5 minutes (not even that even) out of their day and gave me a review, I decided to finally continue it. Just because of one person.
(Review) Pay It Forward: Whenever I browse through the stories archives, if I see a story with no reviews, I submit one. Even if it’s really bad. The reward? Being able to put a smile on the authors face and/or making their day. I have received review replies that truly bring a smile to face. Why? Because I reviewed that persons work. I’m happy that I was able to bring a smile to that author’s face. Because I took a very small amount of time out of my day to review.
Disclaimer 1: I do not own Fruits Basket. (But I did buy volume 22)
Disclaimer 2: I do not own Paul Frank. (I do have a pair of Paul Frank boxer shorts).

As Kyo made his way to the next house, he thought about Ritsu. Out of the entire Zodiac, Kyo thought that the monkey was the strangest of them all. When you look first look upon the monkey, most would think that the monkey was very feminine. With the monkey’s long, shiny hair; pretty dresses; gentle, bell-like laugh; and angelic face, one would never second-guess that the monkey was actually a guy.
Ritsu suffered from over-acted nerves. If he ever did anything wrong or thought that someone was displeased with him, he would instantly panic and start screaming at the top of his lungs about how sorry he was. Kyo thought some more. Actually, Ritsu’s whole family was like. So maybe it wasn’t a disease? Kyo thought what could cause this, and after a few minutes, decided that he didn’t know. On the other hand, maybe it was just the case of Ritsu being poked in the side one-too-many-times by Shigure?
Kyo reached the monkey’s house, and after checking to see if anyone was home, walked in the house. Personally, he had never been in the monkey’s house before. However, he had been to the Sohma Hot Springs with Tohru and Yuki during Golden Week. The Hot Springs were run by Ritsu’s parents.
Kyo’s bladder seemed to think that he was getting lost in thought and decided to remind him of his original goal.
He didn’t know whether to play dead, kneel over in laughter, shake his head (after all, he should have expected this), or just stare dumbly at what Ritsu called a bathroom.
The monkey of the Zodiac was apparently a big fan of the monkey Paul Frank. There were a couple of Paul Frank bath rugs, hand towels, bath towels, a shower curtain, toilet seat cover, and even stickers of Paul Frank on the mirror.
“Thank God. There’s no monkey tail attached to the toilet,” thought Kyo.
Speaking of the toilet, Kyo’s bladder “nicely” reminded him, yet again, of what he needed to do. Taking a step forward, he stopped. Kyo glared slighty at the toilet, wondering if it was sound-activated like Haru’s toilet. Kyo braced himself for the worst, and pushed down on the flusher handle.
…He waited, but nothing happened. Kyo breathed a sigh of relief.
So, as to not further embarrass our poor, orange, little kitty… I’ll leave this chapter at that.

Author’s Note: You know, I wonder if Paul Frank is a fan of the Zodiac Monkey, Ritsu? *Laughs* That would be really funny.
What’s next: Chapter 9 and 10.
Who are Kyo’s Next Victims: Kisa, the Tiger; and Kagura, the Boar (or Pig).
Remember: Review please! *gets on her knees and begs* Please?
