You know, me and Roger are really starting to connect. I think we understand each other and communicate well or at least we are beginning to.

When he says "Mmmmrph!" when I wake him up at six in the morning, I know he really means, "Thank you for caring enough to get me up so that I can appreciate the little things in life like the sunrise."

When he mutters, "Sleepy time…"and falls back asleep, he's telling me, "Try harder to wake me up. I recommend gently slapping my face until I am awake."

When he bolts upright and yells, "Fucking hell!" he is actually saying, "Thanks for getting me up, but in the future, try not to drop your camera on my crotch."

When he grabs my by the collar, yanks me down to his eye level, and growls, "Leave now or I'm going to hurt you," he means, "Leave now or I'm going to hurt you."

Yep. One hell of a connection.
