Me: I know it's short, but I'm tired and, frankly, couldn't give a damn! So there! Anyways, I've given the guys the day off, on account of the holidays and everything. I think Hige said something about a really, really big Christmas party where characters from all different anime would attending. So, I have to do this myself ::Dons wolf costume:: I don't own wolf's rain, sadly. Although, I AM getting the box set for Chrissie…YAY!

Toboe's POV

"Do you think he'll come?" I asked Granny. Granny looked up from her knitting. She gave me a slight smile before replying, "I think he will. No, I don't think, I know. He wouldn't leave you alone, would he dear?"

I shake my head, "Of course not! Tsume would never leave alone for too long! I'm his friend!"

Pops snorts loudly, "I think he was more than a friend, kid"

I give him a curious look. "What do you mean?"

"He cried, dude, he cried for YOU. You think he would for anyone else?" I spin around. Hige's standing there smirking. Blue's standing next to him. She gives a strangled "Pops" and runs into Quent's arms.

Granny merely smiles before saying, "Well, Toboe dear, your friends are here now. You know I have to go. This is the Wolf's paradise, not the humans. Come along, Quent"

"But…but he's not here yet…"

"He'll come"

"But—"

"Toboe, he WILL come. He needs you as much you need him. Understand?"

I nod. Granny smiles at me, and gives a hug. I return it and try not to cry.

"But what if he doesn't?" I murmur.

"He will. If he doesn't then I'll come here, to be with you"

"O…Okay"

I stand back and watch as Blue gives Pops one final embrace. He holds her tight, and lets a single tear fall down his face. He then turns to Hige and gives him a stern look.

"You there!" He thunders at Hige. Hige snaps his feet together and salutes Quent. "Yes, sir?"

"You look after her, got it? If I hear you're treating her badly, I'll hunt you down. Understand?"

Hige nods and replies, "Yes, sir! I will protect her with my life! With all I'm worth! I'll make sure nothing bad happens to her! She'll have twenty-four hour security! She'll-"

"She doesn't need all that. She CAN protect herself. Just keep her out of trouble, okay"

Hige nods. "Of course, sir"

Pops smiles, and turns to follow Granny. They both fade away.

I turn to Blue and apologize. "I…I'm sorry I couldn't protect Pops. I'm, really, really, really sorry"

"What are you talking about Toboe? You did protect him!" She laughs.

I give a weak smile, before starting to sob. I can't keep it in any longer. Hige and Blue both know why I'm crying. Then I hear a sharp voice, "Jeez, what're you crying about now, Runt?"

I jerk my head up. Tsume smirks, and says mockingly, "Surprise"

"Tsu…TSUME!" I cry as I throw myself into his arms. He doesn't push away, he doesn't scorn, instead he returns the embrace. And I think to myself, this is truly paradise.

Me: Wanna get me a present? Then Review!

Hige: We're back!

Me: How was it?

Toboe: Tsume got really, really drunk!

Me: Really?

Tsume: Whaddawa, fer hitch? (Translation: What do you want, you bitch?)

Me: Eww…You reek of alcohol!

Kiba: Hic…hic…hic

Hige: Oh yeah, Kiba got smashed too.

Kiba: Hic…::Collapses:: Zzzzzzzzz…hic!

Tsume::Falls asleep on top of Toboe:: Zzzzzzz

Toboe: Yayers!

Me?

Toboe: I said that out loud, didn't I?

Hige: Um…yeah…er…I'm going…bye…

Me: Hey! Don't leave me with two passed out wolfs!

Hige: I'm not. I'm leaving you with three.

Me::Turns and looks. Discovers that Toboe has lost conscience, either from joy or lack of air, I don't know:: GET BACK HERE!
