A/N: Ok… Before I let you read on I just have to say that the idea of this pairing was NOT mine. It was the idea of an author called CERM. I read it on a forum and it just started bothering me so much and finally I was bitten by a plot bunny and got to writing. Normally my plot bunnies just nib but when they bite, I have no chance but to write or else the wound will never heal. So here goes… Flames are excepted but not encouraged. (For those who don't know, Kaiooshin is Supreme Kai from Dragon Ball Z)

Summary: One-shot. Kaiooshin/Bakura, one-sided love/obsession. What if the young deity were to discover the one and only Bakura?

Sometimes when I have nothing better to do, which is not often seeing that I'm practically a god, I look in the crystal ball. I can see anywhere in the universe, this dimension and the other. This was one of those times. I sat under a tree and started looking for something of interest in the universe. Earth came to my view. Earthlings have proven to be quite interesting in the past, violent and self destructive, yes, but interesting never the less.

That's when I first saw him.

He was on top of some kind of aircraft with some other Earthlings. There was one other his kind there as well but he stood out to me. With his hair similar color to mine, scorching red-brown eyes and his soul… There was darkness but also agony, deep pain from his past. I could see his past flash through my eyes. A chain of events that led to this moment. The state he was in; not physically alive, soul sealed into an object of power. The strength reflected from his being amazed me and held me captive. This being had been around for longer than a mortal was supposed to, not as long as I but, then again, I'm not mortal.

The determination it must take to still keep going in the situation he is in… I would have never thought that a mortal being was capable to pull through. He was driven to the path of darkness and insanity but I couldn't help but to be captivated by him, couldn't help admiring him.

I kept coming back to the crystal ball, just to admire him from afar, I didn't think I would ever be able to actually go and face him in person. I continued to admiringly gaze from my spot, utterly and totally amazed. There was no other creature like him in the entire universe, I should know.

I became aware of my quickly growing obsession when I started to neglect my duties and think up excuses to get to gaze into the crystal ball.

I would spend hours just looking at him, listening his every word and watching his every act. He was so beautiful to me; in physical appearance and in soul, his essence was absolutely stunning. Covered in darkness, heart of hidden misery. Oh, how I wished I could heal him!

I was scared of his well being the most when he battled that dark part of one mortal's soul. When he lost and his soul was sent to the darkness, not once did his confidence fail. He managed to come back to the realm of the living and my heart could beat freely once again. I didn't know what would have I done if he had been lost forever…

That's when I did something thoughtless and sent my soul to Earth. My physical being couldn't go see him but that didn't affect my soul.

I traveled through time and space to get to him. He was a thief and he had totally managed to steal my very soul.

My essence lingered with him, I had never seen him from so close. He must have sensed me when his eyes and form became alert. He looked around but of course wasn't able to see me. The beautiful being settled down again after a while but I could sense his still lingering alertness.

I couldn't help but to reach out and touch him. As my essence floated in front of him my fingers touched his cheek softly. I quickly pulled my hand away, startled by my own boldness. He must have felt something because he raised his hand to touch the spot I had touched, looking confused for a moment. That's when my soul returned to my physical form. That was the first and the last time I visited him like that.

…..

It was at the time of that game he had set up to gain his revenge over the one he thought was responsible for all his misery, that he thought to get his greatest victory but instead, it proved to be his greatest loss. Around the final battle, that my assistant became aware of my obsession. He, being older and more experienced than me, didn't think it was a good idea to get so fixated about a mortal being and tried his best to get me focused on other things. But I didn't want to get focused on anything else! I told him that he could never understand and drove him away, to take care of his own busyness, which happened to be the busyness I was supposed to be taking care of. He wasn't very pleased with me but perhaps I could make it up to him some day, during the endlessly long time we would spend together.

The battle at hand seemed to be about some magical objects, and it just so happened that there were seven of them, much like the round ones in Earth's other reality… What was with the magical objects and the number seven anyway?

But back to the matter at hand. I silently and secretly rooted for him though I knew it was wrong since he was the evil one here but I didn't really care. I knew that if he were to loose his life in this battle, he would end up straight to hell and I didn't want that. Hell wasn't a very pleasant place and I'd rather not look there so I wouldn't ever see him again if he were to… die…

Being the evil one here, he didn't really stand much of a chance since it was against some crazy universal rules for evil to triumph over good, permanently anyways.

When he lost, however, it came as a shock for me. I watched him vaporize in front of my very eyes and knew instantly where his soul was heading.

No…

I had to do something! It was against the rules for a soul to end up somewhere it wasn't supposed to go. Unless it was an emergency, and this certainly was. I was sure that, being the highest among our ranks; I would be able to pull some strings to get him to the more pleasant dimension.

I sprung into action and knew what I had to do and just did it. I was so relieved to know that I was able to stop him from ending up in hell that I actually did something very unthinkable; went to see him in person.

It was easy for me to get to the dimension he was in, easier actually then getting to the one he used to be. The gates of that dimension were full of souls, trying to get in but I of course was able to get ahead of them. I greeted the master of this dimension and he was quite surprised to see me here but refrained from asking any questions, which was good because I wasn't sure if I would have been able to answer as I didn't knew myself what was it that I was trying to do.

As I waited him to get through the gate, I pondered what would I do when he did… I hadn't have the time to decide when he emerged from the place the master of this dimension decided whether or not you were fit to be here.

He was even more beautiful then I remembered.

Then he noticed me and I just didn't know what to do, there was no universal code for situations like these. No rules said what you were to do if you met your long time obsession.

"Hey you! Tell me what I'm doing here, the guy inside just told that I was "moved" here and I don't know what the hell he meant by that." He said harshly, in the manner I had heard him speak many times before.

I was able to get my voice to work by some miracle and I thanked myself. (1) "That means that you aren't supposed to be here but I guess you have friends in high places." I said and even managed to smile a bit, but couldn't tell him that it was me who got him here.

"I don't have friends!" He spat and I felt sorry for him. "This is better than hell I suppose…"

I nodded. "I know it is. Welcome to the land of the dead, Bakura."

"How do you know my name?"

I smiled again. "I know many things about everything."

"Then you probably also know who got me here?"

"Yes, but he does not wish to be revealed." I answered mysteriously.

"Well, if you see the guy, tell him that his effort is appreciated." He smirked a bit in what I suppose was gratitude. My insides swelled in happiness by just that small gesture. I smiled at his retreating back as he left to explore his new home for all eternity. And I would be there to watch over him.

A/N: A tad bit short maybe… But I finally got it done and out of my system, yay! -waves a flag-

(1): I first was going to write that he thanked god but then I thought that since he is the god, he should thank himself xD

So what did you think? Please review!
