This is a series of Christmas one-shots. It will have something about every Mew and every alien, though not every one will be in pairs. And Ryou and Keiichiro will be here too! Hope you enjoy them!
I guess you’re wondering about the title, are you not? Well, I came up with the idea while doing my nails. No, I’m serious. And, I put polka dots. What? I am really bored! I must be to have thought up this ridiculous idea. Oh, I’m done with my nails! Uh, ignore that!
Disclaimer: I don’t own TMM. Anyhow, this goes for all the one-shots.
Christmas Equations: A Kishu and Ichigo Pairing
And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it’s been said
Many times, many ways
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you
Ichigo smiled. Christmas was here! Christmas songs everywhere, wreaths, and trees! Mistletoe! If only she could catch Masaya under the mistletoe! But he was gone… in England.
That was the only thing ruining her Christmas. Masaya wasn’t with her. He was in England.
She hurried towards the café, silently reminiscing over their failed dates.
There seemed to be a factor in their doomed romantic equation, Cyniclons.
Speaking of which, the most annoying variable of them all appeared in front of her.
“Hi Koneko! So, what’s up with this Christmas thing?”
“Shoo fly.” She rolled her eyes and Kishu smirked.
“That’s no way to treat me! I haven’t even tried to kiss you yet… please, koneko, I just want to know what Christmas is.”
Ichigo sighed. “Do you want the original meaning of Christmas, or the one it’s turned into after two millennia?”
“Both!” Kishu exclaimed. The longer he could keep her talking, the happier he would be.
“Okay, the original reason started 2006 years ago. In the Christian religion, they believe a savior came from a virgin, the son of God. He was supposed to be born on Christmas.
“The new reason is for presents, family, and friends. In a nutshell.” She finished, sighing. She realized Kishu was right. He hadn’t tried to kiss her yet. This was a pleasant change. She looked over at him and smirked. “You look like an elf. You fit in perfectly with the Christmas season.” She said.
“Really? What’s an elf?”
“Well, it has to do with the part of the new Christmas. It’s complicated. There was a Christian guy who gave money to the poor and gave presents to children. Parents tell their kids to be good all year ‘round because he’s supposedly still alive and he gives presents to good little kids. He has little helpers who help make the toys. His helpers are called elves; they wear green, and have pointy ears!”
As if the world was desperate to prove her point, a child shrieked, “Mommy! Look, an elf! His ears are extra pointy!”
Ichigo laughed and Kishu smiled. Usually she would have tried to run by now.
“Christmas is a time for miracles.” She whispered to herself. Kishu shrugged.
“Snow is pretty. I’ve never seen any before.” He muttered to himself, suddenly very upset. Ichigo felt slightly guilty. His people would never know of Christmas. They would live in a barren wasteland for the rest of their lives, never to know what Earth looked like.
Kishu interrupted the silence. “Koneko-chan, why do you hate me?” The sorrow he felt was palpable. Ichigo didn’t really know what to say.
“You kiss me by force. I don’t like that. I would maybe even like you a little bit if you didn’t.” She thought aloud. Her cat ears popped out and Kishu laughed.
He had been wearing a long jacket and noticed Ichigo shivering. He put it on her covering her tail and body. He flipped the hood over her head to cover her ears and she turned around.
Her head tilted to the side. Kishu loved that. “Thanks, but what was that for?!” She was getting embarrassed, and how she hated that.
“You were cold, and we couldn’t let everyone in Tokyo know about your powers, could we, Koneko-chan?”
She pouted and narrowed her eyes. This wasn’t fair. But he was right.
“The stupid café’s a mile away. Why do they make us go to work on such a pretty day? And I have to walk too!” She grumbled to herself. Kishu looked at her with a mischievous idea. Her pulled her into a hug and teleported her to the café.
She looked up. “Wow, that was kind of fun.”
He looked at her, a smile upon his face. Christmas miracles, eh? He would have to research the concept of miracles further.
For the meantime, it was miracle enough Ichigo had thanked him… and walked with him without being rude!
She looked up and called him over. “Kishu, one more thing!”
“Yeah?”
She kissed him. And he kissed back. She pulled away, ran and called, “Merry Christmas Kishu! And don’t expect a Christmas present from me, you already got one!”
Kish looked after her, surprised and happier than he could ever remember being. Then he looked up. No, his miracle had been mistletoe!
Maybe Masaya was the variable making Ichigo’s love equation impossible?
This is my very first story with Ichigo as the main character. Hope you like it! I know, it’s not fluffy at all. But still, I like it! Next one is about Purin, and maybe Taruto. I’m not sure.
