Chapter 2 Kidnappers?!
The sun was almost all the way out, showing the bright blue cloudless sky. Small rays of light beamed themselves into the red dorms. Tap, tap, tap. Judai lay in bed tapping on the wooden pane that ran along his bottom bunk. Then he moved his hand up above and tapped lightly there, trying his best not to wake his two friends who were sound asleep (and snoring at that). Not only was he bored, but he’d been having nightmare after nightmare. In total, he’d probably only gotten four hours of sleep. This annoyed the boy, considering how he could normally sleep like a log. We also can’t forget how he was extremely tired from the long previous day he had with the break up and all. His eyes burned when he finally closed them once more. Maybe now that it was morning he could sleep a least another hour… “Judai, you awake? Judai!” Never mind. A loud banging startled the distraught teen, who’d just started to fall back to sleep after a night of tossing, turning, wood tapping and horrific dreams. “Judai! Hurry up and open the damn door! This is serious! Come on! Get up, get up, get up!!!”
“Alright…” He groaned rolling his tingling legs onto the floor. “I’m coming, just give me second.” The brown haired teen slowly slipped on his school uniform and trudged over to the door, half asleep. He opened the door slowly to see a seemingly eager Johan standing there smiling. “Johan? What is it now? Did something bad happen?”
The emerald eyed teen let out a small chuckle. “Well doesn’t someone look like a zombie today? Did you have trouble sleeping, precious?”
“Yeah, big time… I had loads of nightmares… but hey… what’s going on?”
“Huh?” The blue haired teenager stood there, looking completely clueless.
“You were screaming for me to get up and saying ‘this is serious’, weren’t you?” Judai scratched the back of his neck slightly. “Or maybe I’m just practically falling asleep and hearing things…”
“Oh, um, about that… Eheh…” A sly grin made its way across the European teen’s face as he began to cackle quietly to himself. The other teen was getting a bit freaked out by it. Hey, if you had got only a few hours of sleep and your friend was acting like some creepy pervert, you’d be freaked out, too. “Ku, ku, ku… Oh, Judai… My, my…”
“W-what… what is it, Johan…?”
“BANZAI!!!!!!!!!!!!” GLOMP! Johan tackled his new lover to the floor instantly without any tiny warning. “I was just kidding, you know.” He took one of his hands, lifted Judai’s bangs up and kissed him softly on the forehead. “Silly, Judai. Nothing bad is going on so you don’t have to worry about anything.”
“Man,” The brown eyed teen moaned, “You had me get out of bed for this?”
“Oh pish posh, you like it. You know you do.”
“But…”
“But nothing! Come on. It’s a beautiful day outside. I want to spend it with you.”
“Johan, I’m tired!” Judai whined, being dragged to his feet. As much as he enjoyed the touch of his friend, he was really was tired. All he wanted right now was sleep. “I only got about four hours of sleep!”
“Well if that’s the case then…” A pause followed by a smirk. “You can sleep on my back while I carry you.”
Judai flushed madly. Carrying? Carrying meant possible ass grabbing. Johan was being such a pervert as of this morning! He’d most definitely be squeezing hard, too. Shivers began to run down his spine. On the other hand he could always ask him to grab his legs instead, but… “What am I thinking?! I can’t trust you! Not at all!”
“Ooo, do tell.” The other boy moved a hand up to an ear, getting really close to the other. “Have you some pervy ideas you’d like to share?”
SMACK! “Johan, you jackass!”
“OWW!” The other teen cried, rubbing his cheek. “You didn’t have to hit me, I was just kidding!”
“Suuuure you were.”
“I-I was! Hnn… you’re so mean, Ju-chan…”
Judai frowned. He wasn’t trying to be mean or anything. Maybe he should apologize. “I’m sorry…” He said in a quiet voice. “It was a quick reaction and I couldn’t really stop myself. I didn’t mean to hurt you--MMPH!!” His little apology statement was quickly interrupted by the other teen’s lips crashing against his own. Those lips, they were so soft and the tongue jamming itself into his mouth felt so good, that it made Judai not want this to end. He wrapped his arms around European’s back, dug his fingers into it and started to play back with his own tongue inside of the other teen’s mouth. This had to have been Johan’s way of saying that he was forgiven because he felt like they were going to do it again. Just the way the other was acting showed his true intentions.
“Ah, how ironic that I once again interrupt your little love fest.” An annoyed Manjyome was standing in the doorway, arms crossed and eyes narrowed. Both the teens practically fell over when they noticed he’d been standing there. “Ahem, anyway. It’s about time you get your acts together. There’s something I need you to help me with.”
“Interrupting us again?!” Johan asked, seeming a bit annoyed because this was the second time Manjyome had interfered. “And for what? Come to steal him back--?”
“A group of students have gone missing, moron.”
“What?!” Both Johan and Judai screeched.
“I’m sure the two of you heard me loud and clear,” He said sighing slightly and walking over to them. “Look, we’ve been advised to stay in our dorm rooms until things start to calm down, but I don’t think that’d help much. I’d be cranky, you guys would screw each other relentlessly, and the other two dingle berries would be their annoying selves. After all that’s said, wouldn’t you rather look for these students ourselves? It’d be a lot more fun than sitting in our dorms playing with our decks and… private parts.”
“Aniki, Johan and Manjyome, don’t you guys think it’d be better to actually notice we’re here…”
“Yeah, you guys forget we’re listening, too-saurus.”
Judai and Johan exchanged nervous glances, while Manjyome just grunted. “Sorry, guys!” Judai shrieked peering up at his two friends who were watching and listening from on their bunks. “I guess we really should head off and look for these students. I’m used to being a hero by now, even if I don’t always look forward to it. Gets tiring.”
“Yeah, well someone’s got to do it,” The black haired teen said slowly with his arms crossed once more. “Stop complaining and let’s go right now while there’s no one else around. There’s something weird I want you to see.”

“WHOA! What happened here?!” Judai screeched, as the five of them stood outside the red dorms. “Everyone boarded up their doors and windows!”
“But how is this possible?” Johan asked pointing out that the boards are on the outside. “I think someone wanted to keep everyone in their rooms. I must not have noticed because I was so excited to see Judai…”
“This must mean some others apparently want to keep everyone except us in.” They all turned to the black eyed teen who nudged his head in the direction of the academy. “There’s got to be some other students out on the prowl. I say we keep an eye out for them. After all, the kidnappers are most likely students that attend our school. We do live on an island that you can only get to by boat or plane.” Manjyome put his hands in his pockets. “So I say we take a trip to the school. What do you guys say?”
“Sounds good!” The others replied.
“How about we have Mr. North Academy Champ lead the way?”
Johan gave raised an eyebrow, suspicious of what Manjyome was thinking. “You want me to?”
“You are a Champion, aren’t you? I may have won the GENEX tournament, but you’re so much better than I am.”
“Whatever you say…” The green eyed teen went ahead as Sho and Kenzan followed. Judai went to when…
SNATCH! “Stop, wait a minute--”
“Johan and the others are going so--”
“I need to talk to you--”
“They’re leaving, let’s talk as we catch up--”
“Alone.”
Judai blinked and stayed quiet for a moment. He wasn’t quite sure if you should trust the other teen whom had just grabbed his arm so roughly. “Ok…” He sighed lightly and smiled his usual smirk. “So what is it exactly that you’d like to talk about, huh? How you think I’m a jerk for going with Johan--MMPH!!” The brown haired teen felt the both the other’s arms wrap around him tightly as their lips came together in a harsh kiss. Even so, Judai seemed to be mesmerized by it because he didn’t struggle the least bit. It was only in a matter of seconds that their tongues were playing around in each other’s mouths. But it was also only in a matter of seconds that the kiss broke after. “S-stop it! This is wrong…”
“What? Isn’t this what you did when we were together? You let Johan kiss you like that…” Manjyome gripped both his hands onto the other boy’s shoulders. “Now come on, wasn’t someone letting himself be kissed willingly? Judai, you enjoyed that. Admit it and stop being stupid.”
“W-what are you talking about, Manjyome? We’re not together again!”
“Perhaps I should just steal you back right here. Being the way you are now, makes you an easy target.”
“No… wait you can’t do that! I love--” He felt a hand slap across his mouth.
“Johan, right? Pish. You can say that all you want, but you know you still have feelings for me in that head and heart of yours.” A devious smirk perked its way onto Manjyome’s lips. “Admit it. You still think about how you and I used to kiss. It felt so good just to be together, even if we weren’t having sex. You miss the warmth, don’t you?”
“Manjyome…” Judai froze, feeling like his heart was about to break. It was true that he used to like that, but even so, he was with Johan now, right? Double crossing his new lover wouldn’t make up for how he did it with his former one.
“See? Your cheeks are faintly pink. I’d assume that’s a yes.”
“Ahem, do I need to ask why you wanted me to really lead the way?”
“Johan!” Judai rushed over to him and clung to him tightly. It only took a second for the Gem Beast owner to wrap his arms around the other as well.
“Stop trying to steal back my lover!” Manjyome was silent apoun hearing Johan’s words and walked right past the two. “Well I hope he doesn’t try that again. You alright, Judai?” A nod. “Good. Because you know he’s right about something. With the way you are, anyone can really come and steal you away. I mean, take a look at what happened now. Please promise to stay loyal to me and I’ll do the same.”
“I’ll try my best…” Judai replied quietly. It was only a moment later that something startled him.
“EYAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP ME, JUDAI!!!!!!”
All five young men froze hearing that wicked scream… a familiar sounding scream.
“Asuka!” Judai shouted. “That was Asuka’s voice!”
“Tomorrow girl’s in trouble?” Their attention turned to the three people walking their way. It was Jim, Misawa and O’Brien.
“Yes! We heard her scream!” The brown haired teen heard a ‘kuri, kuri’ and noticed his spirit partner, Winged Kuriboh, appear. “Huh? Winged Kuriboh?” The little fuzzy creature flew around his master in circles a few times then flew off towards the school. “Wait!” It was then that the teen chased after his little friend who seemed to be in a hurry.
“Judai!” Johan bolted after the two.
“Aniki!” Kenzan and Sho followed.
“Shall we go?” Jim asked eyeing the other three still here.
Manjyome grunted going forward quickly, O’Brien nodded silently chasing after the others and Misawa sighed going as well, but just walking. “I just hope this isn’t another crazy event that’s going to involve us having to fight some monsters or something.”
“Who knows? Let’s go anyway!” Jim grinned and ran up ahead after the others.
“Is everyone that eager for adventure?” The teen shook his head sighing again. “If I go at this pace, I’ll get left behind!” He began to run. “HEY!! WAIT FOR ME, EVERYONE!!!”

When the eight boys had arrived at the entrance, they decided to split into groups so they’d be able to explore the school as quick as possible. Two groups of three and one group of two. Johan, Judai and Manjyome all quietly walked down the dark hallways, staying close by each other. Johan, a flashlight in hand, stopped at the entrance to the Obelisk Blue dueling arena. This would be the very first place in the school they’d explore. After all, Asuka’s scream seemed to have come from inside the school. “I wonder why all the power’s out…” Johan whispered entering the huge arena.
“Doesn’t matter,” Manjyome said dully and annoyed as he followed with Judai close behind. “Misawa and O’Brien are heading to the generator room to try to see what’s wrong.”
“Well gee, you don’t have to be so cranky with me…” Johan replied glaring at the other teen.
“Why shouldn’t I be?”
Both growled, a few sparks flying in the air. “Guys, cut it out.” Judai walked past the two of them and gazed around. “We’re suppose to be looking for Asuka and the missing students, not fighting over stupid things.” The two simply crossed their arms and looked away from each other, Judai only shook his head. For once he was being more mature. “Asuka! Asuka!” He called, expecting to get even the smallest reply. Nothing. “I hope that she’s ok…”
“She’d better be or else I’ll--”
“Wait, shh.” Johan put a hand over both Manjyome and Judai’s mouths. “Do you hear that?” He whispered. There was a low breathing coming from the corner of the room. “What the…” A pair of glowing eyes followed by bright fangs flashed. All three froze and didn’t move. Those were some LARGE eyes and fangs… The creature growled deeply when it noticed the three.
“Is that a monster…?” Manjyome asked pointing with a furiously shaking hand and freaked out expression covering his face. Judai and Johan had the same expressions and they gulped hard, bewildered. All they could see was the eyes and fangs glowing in the dark, but they were still frightened by it.
“Be as quiet as you possibly can…” Whispered Johan. “And we’ll back out of here…”
“A-CHU!”
“JUDAI!” Both Manjyome and Johan shouted, quickly covering their own mouths.
“Sorry…” The teen whispered scratching the back of his head. “I couldn’t hold it in anymore…”
“RAAAAAAWRRRRRRR!!!!!”
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” The three screamed and turned around, running to get out of there as fast as they could. Alas, Manjyome screeched, feeling something wrap around his leg and was pulled back inside. As for Judai and Johan, they didn’t stop running until they were far down the halls away from the arena. “That was close… hey wait a minute, where’s Manjyome?!”
Judai: You ok? -pokes-
SS: -falls over onto a pillow- Yeah, I'm fine.
