Take Me

Summary-Sequel to 'Take It To The Max'. Cody is happy that his friends are getting help to get over their problems, but he's so happy that he's blind to his own problem. Now that Zack lost Max and lost the person to tease, Zack turned to his brother to fill the void. He's tired of being the twin that no one has noticed, but they're noticing now. Warning: Self-Mutilation

Chapter One: This Is My Story

"Hey Cody, do my homework for me" Zack said as he threw his backpack at my head. I hardly had time to dodge it before it smacked into my nose.

"But Zack, I have enough of my homework to do already and I don't wanna-"Zack cut me off by shoving me to the floor. He bent down do my level, a sneer on his face.

"Oh yes, you do" he said and straightened back up. "I'm going out for some pizza with the Crew. Don't wait up" he said and left. I pulled myself off the floor and stared at the ceiling.

Hi, I'm Cody Martin.

And the boy that just shoved me to the ground?

That's my twin Zack.

He wasn't always like that. When we were younger we were inseparable and we were always worried about each other. But now he doesn't care at all. Since we started our freshmen year, Zack has done nothing but cause me trouble. First, he always picked on my friend Tapeworm, who also had the same problem at home. His dad abused him. And when he went to the school and abused him in front of Zack, Zack knew he had to stop picking on him. Max, who was part of the Drew Crew at the time, figured it out before anyone else, and quit the Drew Crew to make sure he was ok. That ended happily because Tapeworm finally found his mom, Michelle, and he gained a sister, Bailey. Then Zack was going out with Tapeworm's crush and best friend, Maxine 'Max' Montgomery. And then, Max was getting tired of Zack flirting with other girls so she started thinking that Zack didn't think she was pretty. So she started to starve herself. And then when Zack broke up with her, she didn't eat at all. Then Zack showed up at Tapeworm's house to talk, and Max saw them. And the cause of that, and her starvation caused her to fall down Tapeworm's stairs and go into a coma. She awoke from her coma and went to a health group for kids with the same problem. And then she got her appetite back. Tapeworm and I were so happy, that we decided to treat her to an early birthday dinner to an all-u-can-eat buffet. Weird gift, I know, but we were so happy.

Now, you may ask, if Tapeworm and Max had the courage to tell Zack not to bug them anymore, why can't I?

It's because I'm not as strong at them.

I hate confrontations. I hate it when people are mad at each other. I always try to make things better. And Zack always laughs at me and says I'm a wimp and a pansy. But I don't care; I just want to be loveable.

But ever since Zack figured out he could single out Tapeworm or Max, he decided to come after me, so for the past few weeks I've been teased, punched, shoved, kicked, slapped, shoved into lockers, and had food spilled on me.

I was tired of having to go to the guidance counselor. I was tired of having to eat with the teachers during lunch to make sure that I wouldn't get picked on. I was tired of having to rely on teachers and Tapeworm and Max to protect me.

Heck, I was tired of running.

I was tired of being the 'sensitive and boring twin'.

To make a long story short, I was tired.

And eventually I was going to do something about it.

If only I knew before, so I could stop myself from a really bad decision.
