House sitting.

"- Who needs girls anyway?! Ric stated throwing himself onto the couch

- Yeah I know what you mean! They're no use. This whole babysitting thing is so easy! I can't believe Belle and Mattie thought we wouldn't be able to do it! Laughed Luc settling himself on the other couch

- I know! We just have to sit here and wait for Gil to wake so that we could feed her and then we'd be done with it! Said Ric satisfied

- Piece of cake! Lucas added raising his arms in the air. But we've got about 3 hours to kill before Gil wakes up so we better find something to do

- Movie? Ric asked simply

- Better yet, let's start the third season of LOST! I've been dying to see it for ages! Said Luc jumping off the couch to get the DVDs

- Oh yeah! Agreed Ric sitting up straight, I wanna see what these others are all about!

- Alright! Let's get this think going! Said Luc happily after turning on the DVD player and getting comfortable on the couch. Just as he was about to press the play button, the baby monitor went on. Gil's crying could be heard through it.

- What the hell is that?! Asked Ric looking around trying to figure out where the noise was coming from

- I don't know! Answered Luc imitating Ric's gestures

- Oh shit! Its the baby monitor! Exclaimed Ric as he noticed the device flashing red lights. Gil's up already!

- What?!!! Asked Luc panicking, she shouldn't be up for another two hours and a half!

- But she is up now! Said Ric, then when he noticed how sweaty Lucas was all of a sudden he decided to calm down a bit. Let's not panic, Martha and Jack told us to feed her as soon as she got up and that's what we should do

- Yeah ok, said Luc heading to the kitchen

- Where r u going?! Asked Ric his eyes widening

- To get her bottle ready! Luc yelled from the kitchen. you go get her downstairs!

- Oh God! Whispered Ric to himself. Ok! He yelled to Luc. Ric ran the stairs 2 by 2 to get to Gillian. When he got to her room he found her fidgeting in bed, her face round and red from all the crying and yelling she was doing. After all, crying is what an 8 month old baby does best! After a minute of hesitation, Ric leaned and picked Gillian up. Its ok Gil, he soothed, uncle Ric is here now. Luc will be right there with your bottle

- BOTTLE'S READY! Yelled Luc from the kitchen

- Coming! Ric said as Gil continued to cry in his arms. He went down as fast as he could considering he had a very alive baby in his arms. Ok Gil, honey, uncle Luc is here with your brekkie, he soothed again trying to get Gillian to calm down a bit while taking the bottle from Luc

- Come on Ric, give her the milk already! Said Luc

- She's not taking it! Said Ric after trying for about 2 minutes to put the sucker in Gil's mouth while she kept avoiding it. It was clear for anyone that hunger wasn't the reason Gil was crying

- What do u mean she's not taking it?! Said Luc panicking, for God's sake she's an 8 month old baby! She doesn't know how to do anything but eat!

- Well she's not eating now, is she! Ric yelled back. He handed the bottle back to Luc and shifted Gil in his arms to change her position. It wasn't until he felt something weird when his hand touched her diapers that he understood what was going on. He picked Gillian up high until her diapers were on his nose's level, then he inhaled. A second later he regretted that. Having lifted Gil up in the air, he earned himself a little kick in the eye from the little girl who was still moving erratically in his arms. Whoever said that baby poop didn't smell as bad as usual poop was wrong! He exclaimed making a face and rubbing his eye where it hurt.

- Oh god! Luc laughed at Ric. She needs a change of diapers, doesn't she?!

- Yep! Ric answered, and since I was the one who tried to feed her, I will leave this honor to you! He laughed handing Gil to Luc

- Dude! Luc said taking Gil

- I'll go get the diapers! Ric laughed going upstairs

- Calm down Gilly, said Luc trying to get Gil to stop kicking and screaming, I'm gonna get you out of this dirty diaper soon, he continued heading towards the bathroom. Once he got there, he settled Gil on the table where Martha usually changed her

- Okay, nappie man's here, said Ric coming into the bathroom with a fresh clean diaper, some wet napkins and a bottle of baby powder

- Nappie man? Laughed Luc...That's original dude

- Come on! Said Ric, stop stalling and take off Gil's pants

- Oh man, this stinks! Exclaimed Luc after taking off the pants and loosening the diaper's straps. When he took off the diaper, he found a nasty little surprise in it. What do I do now? He asked grossed out by the smell

- Relax Luc! Laughed Ric. Just roll it up and throw in the black bag over there. We'll take it out later

- And now? Luc asked after throwing away the dirty diaper

- Why do you keep asking me what to do?! Do I look like Beth to you?! Ric asked raising his eyebrows

- Well you're the one who seems to know how this thing works! Luc reacted, besides you told the girls we didn't need them!

- Well I guess you just wipe Gil's ass with the wet napkins, Ric said rubbing his head

- Here goes nothing, said Luc holding a napkin and wiping as much as he could without any actual contact

- Dude you gotta clean her up! Ric said gesturing, she needs to be clean otherwise she won't stop crying!

- Alright, said Luc wiping as much as he could now. Before he knew it he had used up all the napkins, and Gil seemed to be clean

- Oh look, she's laughing, said Ric smiling at Gil who was flat out laughing by now. She seemed to really enjoy the feeling of the wet napkins

- Hey Gilly, Luc smiled to the baby girl

- Ok so now you need to put on some powder, and then put on the diaper, Ric continued instructing while Luc obliged

- There you go, said Luc smiling when the job was done

- Come on Gilly, said Ric cradling the little girl who was now very much content in his arms, lets go out of the bathroom while uncle Luc cleans up his mess, he laughed stepping out to the living room

- Yeah that's right, you run away from the cleaning, laughed Luc taking the dirty bag to throw it outside in the trash can

- Ok, so now what? Asked Ric once Luc was back with him in the living room

- Well, she just pooped, said Luc, so I guess we should try to feed her

- Okay, said Ric nodding, will you hand me the bottle please

- Sure, said Luc giving the bottle to Ric

- Look at that! She's eating! Said Ric happily when Gil sucked on gently

- Good girl Gilly, said Luc smiling to the baby

- Ohhh isn't that sweet, came Belle's voice. The boys looked at the door to see her and Mattie standing side by side, their arms crossed, looking at them smiling

- And we thought they couldn't take care of Gilly, laughed Mattie, look at them, they look like newlyweds

- Ha-ha-ha, said Luc sarcastically, shut up you two

- What? Said Belle, we're just complimenting your parenting skills!

- We really are! Said Mattie looking like the victim

- Whatever, said Ric approaching Mattie with Gil in his arms. Just when he got to Mattie, Gil saw her and smiled widely stretching her arms to show that she wanted Mattie to hold her

- You wanna come to aunt Matilda, don't you Gilly, cooed Mattie tickling Gil's stomach, come here! She said taking the girl from Ric's arms into her own

- Oh thank God! Said Ric dropping himself onto the couch

- So you admit it then, said Belle going to sit next to an almost sleeping Luc

- Admit what? Asked Luc without opening his eyes

- Babysitting is not an easy job, said Mattie looking at Ric, and when we stay with Gil, it's not an excuse to give ourselves a pedicure!

- Yeah yeah whatever, mumbled Ric

- Say it! Yelled Belle

- Alright fine! Said Luc, babysitting is not easy!

- Thank you, laughed Mattie

- Look at that, said Ric smiling, Gil's asleep

- Ohhh, lets get you upstairs Gilly, said Mattie going up to Gil's room

- So what do you wanna do now? Asked Belle rubbing Luc's arm

- Well we were actually hoping to start the third season of LOST, said Ric sitting up straight

- Yeah that sounds good, said Mattie smiling coming down the stairs, I've been dying to see what these others are all about!!! "
