Summary: Life, it never goes the way you want it to, Zack POV.

Life.

It never goes the way you want it to; Zack Addy knows a lot of things. He knows how to calculate prime numbers into the thousands, he even knows how to count past what many consider impossible, but he doesn’t know how to live.

Well properly.

All his life people have judged him because of his intelligence, even his own parents, no matter how hard Dr. Brennan makes the effort to tell him he is normal he can’t see himself that way.

There are too many anomalies in life.

Some consider him strange, some even tell him so, and he remembers school like a distant ache now. How people treated him, how people even looked at him but he is past that now.

People here, they respect him and it feels… good.

Zack found in Jack Hodgins a friend, a true friend who would actually not just hang around him to get better grades and in Dr. Brennan a mentor who would actually look him level in the eye and not talk down to him because he knows something she doesn’t. Then in Angela and Booth he found, well, they are like the cool kids at school, the kids that wouldn’t give him a second look unless they wanted a project finished for them.

They are good friends, friends he wouldn’t betray.

With that the newly Dr. Zack Addy smiles for the first time in a long time knowing he is going to a place where he is needed… where he is appreciated.

Yup life may be filled with different variables and anomalies but it’s certainly good to live it.
