Dear Aki,

You said you’d always be there for me, when everything else including you was taken from me, I found love and comfort in the arms of my enemy. I also found support and determination in the eyes of total strangers. Every night I hope that we’ll see each other again, I’m so scared; not only do I not know what’s going on but I don’t even know if you’re alright. I want to know that no matter where you are your thinking of me. It seems so hard for me to live in this world; being without you is so difficult. All I want is to have things back to the way they once were, when everyone including you were there beside me every step of the way.

Everyone here has helped me, especially Touya. He makes me feel like nothing else in the world frightens me. When I’m in his arms, I see a little ray of hope amongst all of the pain and betrayal. Now if only you were here I would feel a little more whole, rather than falling apart in thousands of pieces.

Do you remember we used to get into those silly fights and hang out with our friends like nothing else mattered? The numerous karaoke trips we’d go on, I always loved to take center stage. But right now I would give anything just to hear your voice, telling me to hang in there Aya, or to hold your hand like when we were little to help me fall asleep at night. Is it so much to ask to have a normal life away from all of this, to have Mom out of her coma, and Dad still alive? Aki I hope when you read this your still your old self, my other-half, the other side of me, and not someone else.
