Song: “Fallen” by Sarah Mclachlan

Heaven bend to take my hand
And lead me through the fire
Be the long awaited answer
To a long and painful fight

Tears ran down her face as she knelt over her former sensei, watching as his one open eye, that had the sharingan in it, began to close. He smiled, his mask had been ripped during the fight.

“Kakashi-sensei! Please hold on!”

She whispered, tears running down her cheeks. Her hair was un evenly cut, blood oozed from the wounds that decorated her delicate body. Her right hand, covered in a black glove, her other hand was useless at the moment, for several kunai was embedded in it.

“Sakura,” He choked out, blood dripping from his mouth as she screeched trying to heal faster, the tears beginning to blur her vision yet she continued to drain her chakara into healing her sensei. “I’m proud of you, all of you, I want you to know that, no matter what path you chose, I’m proud..at how far you’ve all come..”

She screamed as he closed his eyes, screaming his name over and over, trying to get him to wake up as the green glow surrounding her right hand began to vanish.

“Sensei..”

She sobbed out, though turned her head to the fight between her two teammates. Both stood still on either side of the field. The raven haired male, held his right hand down while his left grasped onto his arm. A strong glow came as chakara surrounded his hand, the sound of screeching birds came from the glow. As its electricity sparked around it. Her eyes widened as she turned to the blond haired male, who was also beaten up, a swirl of blue and wind as well as a mixture of chakara came to his hand. She stood up, watching as they charged toward each other. Had they gone mad?! It wasn’t supposed to end like this! More tears ran down her face as she channeled chakara into her feet, sprinting off toward them, crying out for them to stop. Everyone had already lost so much in this fight! Why did they have to continue!? She wasn’t going to make it, channeling what little chakara she had left, as she slammed her foot down into the ground. It cracked going straight toward, them, causing the earth to split, and push them back a few steps. A few steps was all she needed, sprinting toward them, she screamed their names out as if that would get them to stop. Though she knew just as well, even if they wanted to, they couldn’t. It was just like so many years ago, on the roof of the hospital as she lunged in front of them. Though this time, Kakashi wasn’t there to stop their attacks from hitting her. Jumping in between them, a second before the could hit each other, the chidori slammed through her chest as she felt the rasengan slam into her back going straight through her back and out the front of her stomach. Sasuke’s hand going straight through her chest out the back. She stopped their attack. She made it.

“Have you both gone mad?”

She choked out, blood spilled from her body, having no chakara left to heal herself as she slowly turned her head so she could see Naruto’s horrified face from the corner of her eyes.

“It wasn’t supposed to be like this, nothing was.” Blood spilt onto Sasuke’s arm that was still held through her chest, both knew that if either of them removed their arms from her body, she would die from blood loss in a split second.

“We were supposed to be team seven, together forever. I guess that was just a silly dream I had in mind, that after we rescued you from Orochimaru, you would get your revenge and we could all live peacefuly in Konoha.”

She couldn’t stop the tears that ran down her face, blood covered her, her red sleeveless shirt, had thousands of cuts in it, her arms bleeding badly from the mass of kunai that sound had sent at them. Her gloves were practically hanging off her hands, the slightly an over skirt had torn in so many pieces, you couldn’t tell what it was there for. The black shorts underneath, were torn as well, though the tan over skirt had taken most of the damage. Her legs were sliced up, most surprised she could still stand. Her face was covered in cuts , her hair unevenly cut from the kunai that had gone passed the back of her hear, as she barely missed fatal attacks to the skull.

“We were so lost, and now that I’ve realized it, I had to stop it. I had to stop the madness that you guys had created and fallen into! I wanted to get you out of it! But I can’t, I can’t do anything but watch.”

She laughed slightly, the tears still running down her face, the two boys were speechless, not even muttering a grunt or whimper.

“I just wanted so badly, to go back, retrace every thing I did wrong, and help you guys. I can’t though, I can’t play with the clock of time, but if you two would kindly give me a dying wish. Stop this madness, stop the black hole you created for yourselves, work through it. Kakashi-sensei has already left us, and I will too, its only a matter of time.”

She whispered looking toward the cloudy sky, that began to drizzle on all three figures. The blood washing from their faces, as tears were also hidden.

“Stop this madness, because I can’t, and I lost my life..trying..”

Her eyes slowly closed, as her right hand dropped from the raven male’s arm. Her head fell forward, as her eyes had closed. Both boys almost falling forward at the sudden weight on their arms. Looking up, they glared at each other, Naruto yanking his right arm from Sakura’s stomach on accident, completely caught up in the glare contest he had with the raven haired male. Sasuke soon followed, ripping his right arm from her chest, though also stopped, to watch in horror. As the two males, could have sworn time slowed down, all the sounds of battle around them of those who were left, had completely drowned out. As they watched the battered pink haired kunoichi, fall to the ground, the sound of her body hitting the ground with a ‘thud.’ Naruto screamed in horror, causing Sasuke to jerk backwards and stare at Naruto who dropped to his knees, holding the pink haired female in his arms. Tears spilled from his sapphire blue eyes as he held the pink haired female in his arms. Screaming her name, trying to get her to wake up. Sasuke stood there, motionless, his body had become frozen, his feet glued to the spot. Blinking back water that threatened to spill from his eyes, he had forgotten what they were called. It had been so long, his head slowly turned, to his former sensei who laid on the ground, the wound being partly closed from Sakura’s rushed medic skills in attempt to just stop the bleeding temporarily. It seemed that she had stopped short, because he had died, died at her hands because she couldn’t save him, and she had died at their hands, because they couldn’t save her. He slowly turned to the male who was still screaming her name, her face was pale and held no emotion but sadness, the sadness she had left them as she departed from this world. His chest tightened at the sight of his teammates corpse, in the arms of his rival, and best friend, though he would never admit it.

Truth be told I've tried my best
But somewhere along the way
I got caught up in all there was to offer
And the cost was so much more than I could bear

The image of her dying face, her last words, repeating in his head over and over, as if it was a broken record playing over and over, and no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t stop it. Looking over the abandoned battle field, blood as far as the eye could possibly see. Creators in the ground, and sprawled with bodies, from the brute strength of the pink haired Kunoichi. People lay motionless on the ground, kunai’s embedded in them. Bodies were sprawled out everywhere, kunai’s in the ground, tree’s, even people. His eyes widened, as the image of his clan, on the ground, blood everywhere, because of his brother. His heart wrenched, the image of each and every Uchiha, laying on the ground, blood surrounding each body. His face paled slightly, as he dropped his head in defeat. His brother had won, driven into madness, to get stronger, to test his strength. He was no better then his brother, no worse, no better. He was just like him. His eyes narrowed dangerously on the ground, he was so stupid. Red eyes dangerously peered into the ground, though feeling something change, he quickly grabbed a kunai and looked at his reflection. His eyes widening in complete shock, the Mangekyo Sharingan, stared back in the reflection of the kunai. He dropped the kunai, catching the attention of the sobbing blond, who looked up at him, as if asking what his problem was. Slowly, the raven’s head turned toward the blond, locking eyes with each other. Naruto felt enraged, though the body in his arms kept him in place, as if even though the girl was dead, she still did her job to stop them from fighting.

“You killed one of your best friends, are you happy?”

The blond spat dryly, the tears still running down his face, as he gripped the fragile girl’s body in his arms. Sasuke watched, as he dropped to his knees, the effect of the pills he took to boost his chakara, finally kicking in. Laying on the ground, curled up slightly as the pain in his stomach from consuming all three colored pills. Grunting slightly as his only way of showing he was in pain. Though he kept his eyes open, watching Naruto as he laid Sakura down before collapsing on the other side of her. Her right hand was near Sasuke’s head as her left hand, was at her side. Her hands held open, as if she was waiting for them to grab her hands. He watched over the female’s dead body Naruto grabbing onto Sakura’s hand, crying silently. Having also taken pills to enhance his strength, knowing full well he disobeyed Sakura’s orders and that he should have only taken one.

Though I've tried, I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...

Sasuke stared at his dead teammate, her pink hair sprawled around her pale face, his eyes trailing to her hand, slowly, he reached his hand over to hers. They had all messed up, and now they’ll all die for what they caused. No longer being able to hold it in any longer. The tears slid down his face, he wouldn’t ever say it out loud, he barely could grasp the fact in his own mind. He was afraid, afraid of dying, afraid of who he had become. His eyes shut tightly as he grasped onto the female’s hands, his shoulders wracking slightly as he kept his sobs hidden, though Naruto clearly didn’t since his sobs could probably be heard all over the field.

“She didn’t deserve to die, teme.”

Sasuke was slightly taken back, as the male spoke, he hadn’t expected anyone to talk, but much to his dismay, he was relieved that the blond had spoken. For once in his life, the silence felt as if it was killing him slowly.

“I know.”

Was all he said, loud enough for the blond to hear. Gripping onto their dead female,

“I wanted to live peacefully in Konoha, as team seven again too.”

The blond whispered, his eyes staring at the dark sky that drizzled upon them. Though this time, the raven haired male, made no comment back, simply staring at the dirt mixed with blood, which he rested upon.

“If we could go back in time, I’d kick that snake-bastards ass so he never placed that curse seal on you, and none of this ever happened. So she’d still be alive, along with Kakashi-sensei.”

Sasuke said nothing, if they could go back in time, would he retrace his steps and continue the same destructive path he laid out? He couldn’t reply, his mind worked for the answer rapidly, his heart beat skipped a few beats, when he felt the female’s hand close onto his. His eyes shooting open from their closed position. Staring at the female, had it been his imagination? Hearing something, though his body didn’t move as he watched a pair of feet hover over the three. Glancing up, he stared up at the fifth Hokage, who hovered over them her head buried in her hands as she cried silently. Cuts all over her body, not seeming to notice that the two males were alive yet, she was barely even conscious it seemed. How she had dragged herself from the fight between Jiraiya and Orochimaru was beyond him. Were those two even still alive?

“Tsunade-baa-chan..”

His eyes shot over to the blond who smiled, laughing slightly, the stupid grin on his face. What in world’s name could he be laughing about?! Though said nothing, watching as the blond haired godaime’s head shot up from her hands, as she ran over to the blond haired male’s side, beginning to heal any wounds he had on his body. While whispering comforting words to try and settle him down, so he wouldn’t loose as much blood with his heart racing.

We all begin with good intent
Love was raw and young
We believed that we could change ourselves
The past could be undone
But we carry on our backs the burden
Time always reveals
In the lonely light of morning
In the wound that would not heal
It's the bitter taste of losing everything
That I've held so dear.

Blood dripped from the raven’s mouth, as he watched the soft green glow from the godaime’s hands cover the blond haired boy. Who cracked some stupid joke, causing the godaime to shake her head, telling him to be quite otherwise he wouldn’t make it.

“Hey baa-chan, Sasuke-teme better have his name on the memorial next to mine, and Sakura-chan’s.” He whispered, his eyes beginning to close. The godaime, screamed for him to wake up. Sasuke felt his heart yank slightly, blood beginning to drip from his mouth as the tears slid down as well. Even after this, Naruto still wanted his name dedicated on the memorial. Figured, the dobe would ask of something so stupid, a traitor’s name on the memorial for Konoha, people would be so please to see that.

“I wanna be buried..with Kakashi-sensei, Sakura-chan, and Sasuke-teme. Sakura has to be in the middle though. I’d probably end up stabbing him even though I’m dead.”

He laughed, Sasuke inwardly cringed, as the sound of the blood from his mouth was heard. Closing his eyes, though not a moment later, he heard a distant yell. His eyes shot open, looking down, there Orochimaru was running toward Tsunade, something held in his hand. The colors of black and dark purple mixing together and all in the palm of his hand. Sasuke’s eyes narrowed, a jutsu Orochimaru had ‘accidently’ forgotten to teach, he supposed. Looking to the left, he was Tsunade get up, the chakara surrounding her hand as she stood over Sakura, both her feet on either side of the pink haired kunoichi’s head. The godaime, standing there as if she was going to protect all three of them, which she most likely was. From the distance behind him, he could hear the distant yell of Jiraiya, who most likely had the rasengan going from the way the wind moved in a circle.

The footsteps became slow, as he watched all three sennin collided. Chakara enhanced strength, the rasengen and the technique of Orochimaru’s all slamming into each other as a bright light formed. Just like the time when Sasuke first left for Orochimaru’s hide out. The battle between Naruto and Sasuke, how their rasengan and Chidori collided. He watched, his eyes squinting from the bright light, watching Tsunade, her lips moved as tears streaked down her face, shaking her head slightly as she talked. Jiraiya, looked toward the ground, as if ashamed or trying to hide the sad expression on his face. Orochimaru still looked apathetic and sadistic, though after a moment, a frown came on his face as Tsunade finished speaking, he looked away, his arms crossed over his chest. Tsunade seemed to begin to yell at him, the tears never stopped, how much it reminded him of Sakura. His chest tightened slightly at the thought of Sakura, gritting his teeth together he forced the pain back and watched as Tsunade yelled. Once she finished, Jiraiya seemed to place a hand on Orochimaru’s shoulders, talking in a low voice it seemed. After a moment the snake sennin, sighed in defeat, his shoulders slumping slightly as his arms dropped to his sides. His face annoyed slightly as Tsunade began to preform a jutsu, soon followed by Jiraiya and Orochimaru. After a moment, the green chakara from Tsunade lifted straight into the air, followed by Jiraiya’s blue chakara, and Orochimaru’s black mixed with purple. As all three chakara’s slammed into each other, seeming for form a totally different color, he watched as at the last minute, Jiraiya seemed to crack a joke, Tsunade laughing, as Orochimaru seemed to frown looking away, obviously embarrassed at his teammates actions.

He watched as the three sennin slowly began to fade into nothing, the chakara stayed in the air, until all three figures began to fade. As Orochimaru’s figure faded, with one last second, he cracked a smile on his face, before he completely disappeared with Tsunade and Jiraiya. The pain surged over him, as the chakara fell over them. His eyes widened in complete pain, before slowly his world became dark. His eyes closed as his entire body went limp, everything around him, faded. At the last moment, before he completely blacked out, he managed to mutter to his two teammates.

“I’m sorry.”

Very unlike him, but it seemed suitable for the moment, seeing as even orochimaru, sadistic as he was, had a soft spot for his teammates, though kept it well hidden over a layer of hate. Though sooner or later, it cracked, just as Sasuke’s did...

I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...

Heaven bend to take my hand
Nowhere left to turn
I'm lost to those I thought were friends
To everyone I know
Oh they turn their heads embarrassed
Pretend that they don't see
But it's one missed step
One slip before you know it
And there doesn't seem a way to be redeemed

Though I've tried, I've fallen...
I have sunk so low
I messed up
Better I should know
So don't come round here
And tell me I told you so...
