Summary: After receiving a Storm Badge from Chuck the Cianwood Gym Leader Trainer of Fighting Pokemon, Ash and company head East after getting the medicine for Jasmine to the Whirl Islands. The Ferry that they are taking gets caught in a Whirlpool. Luckily Professor Elm Shows Up and has his Corsola help them through. Ash and company then come across a Billboard that advertises the Whirlpool Cup, the big competition that is held in the Whirl Islands every year. Ash and Misty decide to enter it to increase their skills as Pokemon Trainers. Will we see a battle for the title between Ash and Misty? To find out read the story.
"Thank you Misty. No matter what anyone says, I could not have beaten him without you cheering me on." Ash said.
"I'm sure you would have Ash." Misty said.
"Maybe, Maybe not. Even if I did beat Chuck when you weren't traveling with me; it wouldn't have been worth the effort. You have been with me through thick and thin. Brock just goes ga ga over pretty girls." Ash said.
"Do you really mean it Ash?" Misty started. "It would not be worth winning if I wasn't traveling with you?" Misty finished.
"I mean every word of it Misty." Ash said while blushing.
"Oh Ash that is so sweet of you." Misty said also while blushing.
"Ash I need to talk to you alone; then I would like to talk to Misty alone." Brock said.
"Okay. Misty I'll be right back Pikachu take care of Misty and Togepi." Ash said. Pikachu nodded.
"I noticed that both of you were blushing rather than fighting. What is the deal with that?" Brock asked.
"Brock we haven't fought in a long time. Besides that I just fought with Misty to hide something." Ash said as he covered his mouth realizing what he said his secret was out.
"Ah ha Ash! Tell me the truth how do you feel about Misty honestly?" Brock asked.
"Me, I like her I like her a lot. We have been through so much together. We have seen you leave and come back, seen two trainers that really like each other become Boyfriend and Girlfriend, and have even been jealous of the other sometimes. Tracy pointed out that we liked each other and didn't know it, but we just denied it. I do like Misty a lot, but I don't know how Misty feels about me." Ash said.
"Oh I see, you have the hots for Misty, but you don't know if she has the hots for you." Brock said.
"Precisely." Ash said.
"Okay Ash I will keep your secret from Misty. I will let you expose your secret to her yourself." Brock said.
"Thanks Brock." Ash said as he went back over to Misty.
"Brock wants to talk to you, I will take care of Togepi for you until you return." Ash said.
"Okay, thanks Ash Togepi behave for Ash." Misty said. Togepi nodded.
"You and Ash." Brock started.
"You don't care about your bike anymore do you honestly?" Brock finished.
"No I don't the real reason I am following him is because I like him. I like him a lot." Misty said.
"Do you think it will eventually turn into love? I mean you have known each other a lot longer than I have known you." Brock said.
"Hopefully, it will someday turn into love. I just follow him to be near him. As for those fights I had with him, they were just to cover up my true feelings for him. I have always been the Tomboy in my family. I never was into boys like my sisters, but as I continued to travel with Ash I was overtaken by how much he is into Pokemon. He is into Pokemon as much as me. I was also taken by how he cared about his Pokemon. He cares about his Pokemon as much as I care about mine." Misty said.
"Oh, so you two have stuff in common. Don't worry Misty, I will keep your secret safe from Ash. I will let you expose your secret to him yourself." Brock said.
"Thanks Brock, I owe you one." Misty said as she headed back over to Ash.
"Fishing for more Pokemon." Ash said.
"Any luck?" Misty asked.
"No not even a nibble." Ash said.
"Mind if I try my luck?" Misty asked as she took out her fishing pole and used her ever famous Misty Lure.
"No I don't mind. The more the merrier, hey where's Brock?" Ash asked.
"Oh no doubt trying to find some pretty girls to flirt with." Misty said.
"Any luck yet Misty?" Ash asked.
"No none at all." Misty said.
Both Ash and Misty put their fishing poles away simultaneously. They then started a staring contest.
"First one to flinch in anyway loses deal?" Misty asked.
"Deal." Ash said. They both stared at each other and then simultaneously blushed which means that they both lost.
"Oops we both lost Ash. Come on let's just watch the sea pass by us." Misty said.
"Okay." Ash said.
"Corsola Whirlpool help our friends get inside the Whirl Islands." Professor Elm said.
"Oh hi Professor Elm and thanks." Brock said.
"No problem my Corsola just loves to fill in Whirlpools." Elm said.
"That Corsola is so cute I want one." Misty said as she blushed and had hearts in her eyes.
"Don't worry Misty, Corsola are quite abundant in this area." Elm said.
"Corsola huh?" Ash asked as he pulled out his Pokedex.
"Corsola, the Coral Pokemon. It's special attack is Mirror Coat it also has other attacks like Water Gun, Hydropump and Waterfall." The Pokedex concluded. Ash and company were now inside the Whirl Islands; when they notice a billboard advertising the Whirlpool Cup the major Competition that occurs every year.
"I am going to enter this competition to improve my Pokemon training skills. Also it will help me become a Pokemon Master." Ash said.
"I will too. It will help perfect my skills so that it can help me become the World's Greatest Water Pokemon Master." Misty said.
"You're pretty great right now Misty." Ash said while blushing.
"Really Ash, thank you, you are also quite great at Pokemon training yourself." Misty said also while blushing.
"Thanks Misty." Ash said.
"You're welcome. Same to you." Misty said.
Ash and Misty continued to Sweet Talk Each Other.(Hm what's going on?)
"Misty Williams and Ash Ketchum you are resgistered for the Whirlpool Cup. The first five rounds you are only allowed to use three Pokemon a piece. The two final rounds you may use up to six. So choose wisely." The Official said. Misty called her sisters to come and watch her. They arrived and they traded Misty's Goldeen for her Starmie.
"Thanks Daisy. I'm glad to have you back on my team Starmie I missed you. Daisy you better take care of my Goldeen or else this will be your face." Misty said as she put her fist up to Daisy's face.
"Like chill out Misty you know we will." Daisy said. "Good." Misty said.
"Hey Misty, I hope that we are up against each other sometime in this competition. Good Luck Girl." Ash said to his best human friend.
"So do I Ash. Good Luck and Thank You." Misty said.
"You're Welcome and thank you." Ash said.
"No problem." Misty said as she went to her first round. Misty and Ash both made it through the first five rounds.
"Well if we can use six Pokemon, I better catch another one." Misty said as she went fishing. "Oh I got a bite what is it?" Misty asked as she reeled the fishing rod in. Misty then saw that she had hooked a Corsola and sent out Starmie to weaken it. "Starmie use Psychic." Misty said. Starmie did so. "I better use my Lure Ball to capture this. Lure Ball go." Misty said as she threw it. The Lure Ball shook once and stopped. "Alright I captured a Corsola!!" Misty exclaimed as she struck Ash's Victory Pose. "Thank you Starmie return you need a rest." Misty said as she returned Starmie.
"So Richie we meet again. I am going to win this time." Ash said.
"We will just see about that Ash, by the way nice to see you again." Richie said
"Same here. This will be our best battle yet." Ash said.
"You know it." Richie said as he gave Ash the Thumbs up.
"Go Ash!" Misty exclaimed from the stands. Brock was nowhere in site evidentally he finally got a date with the Nurse Joy.
"Thanks Misty! This victory will be for you." Ash yelled at his other best friend that was in the stands.
"For me?! Ash that is so sweet of you." Misty said while blushing.
"Of course it is for you Mist!" Ash said while blushing.
"This is a six-on-six battle between Richie Robertson of Neon Town and Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town. This Semi-Final Match has no time limit trainers ready battle." The Referee said.
"Sparky, I choose you go." Richie said.
"In that case, I choose you Bulbasaur." Ash said.
"The battle is between Pikachu and Bulbasaur." The Referee said.
"Sparky use Thunderbolt." Richie said.
"Dodge it with your vines Bulbasaur and use Sleep Powder." Ash said.
"Bulba saur." Bulbasaur said as he released Sleep Powder and put Sparky to sleep.
"Pikachu is unable to battle because it is asleep, Bulbasaur is the winner." The Referee said. Sparky's picture faded from the board.
"Good Job Sparky you deserve a rest return." Richie said.
"Go Zippo." Richie said as he released his Charizard.
"So Richie Zippo Evolved into Charmeleon and then to Charizard since the last time we battled. In that case Bulbasaur I will use you later return go Totodile." Ash said.
"Zippo Wing Attack." Richie said.
"Dodge it Totodile and use Surf." Ash said. Just then a huge wave rose up and eliminated Zippo.
"Charizard is unable to battle. Totodile is the winner." The Referee Said.
"Good Job Ash keep it up." Misty screamed from the stands.
"Thanks Misty I will keep it up." Ash said as he winked at Misty. Misty Blushed and Winked back.
"Hey Ash I sure hope you weren't winking at me." Richie said.
"I wasn't Richie, I was winking at Misty." Ash said while blushing.
"Oh." Richie said. "Return Zippo go Happy." Richie said as he released his Butterfree.
"Richie has chosen Butterfree will Ash stick with Totodile or will he switch?" The Announcer asked.
"Totodile I may need to use you later return go Noctowl use Tackle Attack." Ash said.
"Dodge it Happy." Richie said. Happy did so.
"Smart move Richie but check out this action Noctowl Confusion followed by Hypnosis." Ash said. The Confusion connected confusing Happy. Happy was then put to sleep.
"Now Noctowl use Dream Eater." Ash said. Noctowl did so eliminating Happy.
"Good Job Noctowl hang in there you can do it." Ash said.
"Now it is time to bring out one of my favorite Pokemon go Dragonite." Richie said.
"Richie has sent out Dragonite." The announcer said.
"Dragonite send that Noctowl flying with a Thunderbolt." Richie said. Noctowl was eliminated.
"Ketchum has Five Pokemon left, Robertson has Three." The Announcer said.
"Return Noctowl, Go Bayleef." Ash said.
"Dragonite Hydro Pump." Richie said.
"Bayleef Power Up with Sunny Day and Fire a Solar Beam." Ash said. Dragonite was eliminated.
"Dragonite return go Fearow Hyper Beam attack." Richie said. Fearow eliminated Bayleef.
"Cyndaquil, I choose you use Smokescreen and use Flamethrower to singe that bird." Ash said.
"Fearow oh no return. It is up to you Magneton use Supersonic followed by Sonic Boom." Richie said. Sonic Boom eliminated Cyndaquil, Bulbasaur, and Totodile.
"Whoa talk about a quick battle. Each trainer is now down to one Pokemon a piece." The Announcer said.
"Pikachu you are my last hope, I'm counting on you." Ash said. "Pika Pika chu."(Translation: You can count on me Ash.)Pikachu said as he went onto the stadium floor.
"Pikachu use Double Team now." Ash said. Pikachu did so, Magneton was confused it did not know which one was the real one.
"Pikachu use Thunder Wave." Ash said. Thanks to Pikachu's Double Team Magneton was not only hit with one Thunder Wave but with Ten paralyzing it on the spot.
"Magneton can you shake off the Paralysis?" Richie asked. Magneton tried but to no avail it was fully paralyzed.
"Okay Pikachu use Swift Attack followed by your most Powerful Thunder Attack Ever." Ash said. Pikachu eliminated Magneton.
"Magneton is unable to battle. Pikachu is the winner." The Referee said raising the Green Flag. "Ash Ketchum proceeds onto the Finals. Whoever wins the second Semifinal match will be his opponent for the Final Round." The announcer said.
"Well Richie, that was a great match. You are an awesome trainer." Ash said as he extended his hand to Richie.
"So are you Ash good luck in the finals. I know you will do well." Richie said.
"Thanks Richie." Ash said.
"You're Welcome Ash." Richie said.
"Semi-final match # 2 Misty Williams of Cerulean City versus Duplica Imite of Sunny Town." The announcer said.
Duplica and Misty had a match. It went on for a while. Misty won it.
"Misty wins she proceeds to the finals she will be up against Ash." The Announcer said.
"Yes you did Ashy. Good Luck." Misty said as she also covered her mouth and blushed because she inadvertently called Ash Ashy.
"Misty because you and I are best friends, let's make this the best battle we ever had." Ash said.
"Good idea Ash. Besides that I know I will beat you this time." Misty said with a smirk.
"We will just see who wins Misty. You are an excellent trainer. I will be happy if you beat me." Ash said with a smirk.
"You are also an excellent trainer Ash. I will be happy if you beat me." Misty said.
"Hey Misty I'll buy dinner for us. What do you say?" Ash asked.
"Do you mean like a date or what?" Misty asked then when she realized that she added date to the sentence she covered her mouth smirked and blushed.
"It would be fine with me if you called it a date, but it is mainly just best friends having dinner together while Brock is off on a date with Nurse Joy." Ash said. He then realized that he too said date and covered his face and blushed as well as smirked.
"Tomorrow's match will be our best ever right Misty?" Ash asked.
"Right Ash. Good Luck." Misty said as she kissed him on the cheek for good luck, Ash just blushed and put his hand over the spot that Misty kissed him at.
"Misty, I wasn't expecting that. Anyway you too." Ash said as he too kissed Misty on the cheek for good luck, Misty also just blushed and put her hand over the spot that Ash kissed her at. The night went by quickly, but Misty was glad to have dinner with Ash. The next morning Ash and Misty prepared for their match.
"Um Ash, no matter what happens we will still be friends won't we Ash?" Misty asked nervously.
"Of course we will Misty. Best Friends Forever. We have been through too much to just end our friendship over one stupid match." Ash said.
"Exactly right Ash. That is very mature of you I will just take it as it comes." Misty said blushing. Ash blushed at Misty's comment.
"Thanks Misty that is also very mature of you too. Just like you I will take it as it comes." Ash said. Misty blushed at Ash's comment.
"Pikachu are you okay?" Ash asked. There was no answer.
"Togepi Sweetie are you okay?" Misty asked also no answer.
"Pikachu, Togepi both are unable to battle. No winner, the match is a draw. We will just call it at that." The Referee said.
"Incredible, this has never happened before. Both Trainers' Pokemon are knocked out and no winner has been declared. We will have another match later today to decide the Champion of the Whirlpool Cup." The announcer said.
Ash and Misty then ran up to the Announcer's booth.
"Sir we don't need to have another match." Ash said.
"Yeah sir, we both fought our hardest. We will just share first place and call it at a draw." Misty said. Ash and Misty then left the Booth.
"This is incredible, the two trainers have decided to call it a draw. Which means that the First Place Winners of the Whirlpool Cup and Induction into the Whirlpool Cup Hall Of Fame are Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town and Misty Williams of Cerulean City. Of course we have to check the Rule Book." The Announcer said as he skimmed through the book.
"Incredible, there is no rule against having two first place winners. Ash and Misty share first place, both get inducted into the hall of fame and both get first place trophies." The Announcer said.
"Second Place goes to Duplica Imite and Third Place goes to Richie Robertson. Congratulations to our top Three no Four Competitors." The Announcer said as he presented each of them with a trophy. Richie and Duplica then hit it off and started dating.
"We sure did Misty, and that is also a great picture of us together since we both won." Ash said.
"Uh Huh." Misty said as she hugged Ash in a friendly manner and gave him a friendly peck on the cheek.
"Yep we sure are lucky aren't we?" Ash asked as he too gave Misty a friendly hug as well as a friendly peck on the cheek.
"Yes we are Ash, yes we are." Misty said as she and Ash blushed simultaneously.
"Hey guys there you are, Nurse Joy and I had a great time." Brock said.
"So did we Brock." Ash and Misty said in unison.
"So who won?" An anxious Brock asked.
"Both of us did, Pikachu and Togepi were our last Pokemon and they fainted at the same time." Ash said.
"We both are in the Hall of Fame." Misty said..
"So it was a draw and both of you are in the Hall of Fame?" Brock asked.
"Brock weren't you listning to me. I just said that." Misty said as she whacked Brock upside the head with a fan.
"We had our picture taken together see." Ash said as he pulled out the picture. Ash and Misty had their arms around each other.
"Cool." Brock said.
"Thanks it was a great accomplishment." Ash and Misty said in unison as they both showed off their First Place Trophies to Brock. Pikachu and Togepi struck victory poses.
"Where to now guys?" Brock asked.
"Back to Olivine City so I can compete for my sixth badge and cure that Ampharos." Ash said.
"Let's go then." Brock said.
'Wait a minute.' Ash and Misty thought in unison.
"Brock we will meet you at the docks later give this to my sisters..." Misty started as she handed her trophy to Brock to give to Daisy.
"...and give this to my mom Misty and I have to talk alone." Ash finished.
"Pikachu and Togepi go with Brock we will be right behind you." Ash and Misty said in unison. Pikachu and Togepi went with Brock.
"I know we have Ash." Misty said.
"I was just wondering if..." Ash started but then was cut off by Misty.
"...we could take our relationship one step farther then just Best Friends?" Misty finished.
"Precisely will you go out with me Misty?" Ash asked.
"I thought you would never ask Ash of course I will because-" Misty was cut off by Ash.
"You love me?" Ash asked.
"Exactly, but do you Love me?" Misty asked.
"You know I wouldn't be asking you out if it wasn't true." Ash said.
"I LOVE YOU MISTY/ASH!!" Ash and Misty said as they once again embraced in a hug and a kiss, but unlike the last time it wasn't friendly, it was loving, and the kisses were not pecks on the cheeks they were Passionate, Loving ones.
"I knew our friendship would turn into love someday." Misty started breaking the kiss and going right back to it.
"So did I Misty, I had no doubts." Ash said as he broke the kiss and went right back to it.
Brock had just broken up with Nurse Joy and was about to cry when he saw Ash and Misty kissing each other.
"How in the world could Ash get a girlfriend before me?" Brock asked with tears in his eyes.
"What's wrong Brock?" Ash and Misty asked in unison.
"I broke up with Nurse Joy because she wanted me to stay here." Brock said with teary-eyes(That is if he had eyes)
"We thought you would like to stay with Nurse Joy." Ash and Misty said in unison.
"I would have except for the simple fact that I still need to continue my quest to be a Master Pokemon Breeder." Brock said.
"Not to mention cook for us." Ash and Misty said in unison with a chuckle.
"That's not funny, but it is true." Brock said.
"Don't worry Brock you will find someone someday." Misty said.
"I know you will, but for right now let's get back to Olivine. Come on Misty let's get on the ferry." Ash said.
"Okay." Misty said.
Brock, Pikachu and Togepi then followed behind. Ash and Misty spent the journey back to Olivine City holding each other close.
After giving the medicine to Jasmine and winning a Mineral Badge Ash and company continue their journey. Ash and Misty constantly went ga ga over each other. Ash and Misty finally found each other and can look forward to many Romantic Adventures with each other.
Epilogue
Brock eventually found someone too and got married.
After winning the Johto League, Ash and Misty decided to travel through Hoenn and Sinnoh. Where they met May and Hikari.
Ash has won all of the leagues. Misty is master Water Pokemon Trainer.
At the age of twenty-five Misty gave birth to Fraternal Twins, a boy and a girl. The boy was named Ashton Cornelious Ketchum II, and the girl was named Mistina Catherine Ketchum II. At the age of twenty-seven Misty gave birth to another set of twins. They were also a boy and a girl. The boy was named Brock Allen Ketchum after there good friend Brock. The girl was named May Hikari Ketchum after their good friends May from Petalburg and Hikari from Sinnoh(I don't remember the town that she's from). As for Team Rocket, they keep on trying to steal Pikachu and Togetic and constantly fail.
Ash, Misty, Ashton, Mistina, May and Hikari Ketchum moved to the foot of Mt. Silver and built a Gym. They accept Challengers to this day. In a few years time, Ash and Misty's kids will start out on their own journeys.
