“Show me, Remus.”

Remus shook his head like a shy boy. Tonks crawled onto his lap and quickly unbuttoned his shirt. He tried to push her away but to no avail. She pulled his shirt open and there they were, his scars exposed to her. The same scars that reminded him that he was a dangerous monster.

She caressed his chest with her fingertips and then she looked at him, smiling. “I don’t know what you’re worried about. Your scars are beautiful.” And she meant every word.

Remus smiled back at her, feeling like the luckiest man in the world.
