A/N: Hello. It's me! This is a new story. It's gonna be a two-shot about TenTen, and Neji. It's in the future. I hope you enjoy.

NejiTen: Special Kunai

TenTen was a well-known kunoichi, and well-known weapons specialist. She practically collected weapons, but most of them she used in, at least, one battle. Everyone knew this. When she was well past her younger years, she stopped being a kunoichi. She’d lived longer than both of her teammates, both of whom had died with honor, while fighting the enemy in a short war. She had “grandkids”, or rather, academy students who looked up to her. Her favorite, Tamiya, wanted to be a weapons specialist and a medic-nin. Just like TenTen, although TenTen never was a medic-nin. She’d wanted to be one though, so she could work along side her idol, Tsunade-sama. Now, she herself was an idol. Tamiya did have a chance of becoming both a weapons specialist and a medic-nin. She had potential.

They’d have little talks, like a grandmother and granddaughter would. They’d talk about TenTen’s past and Tamiya’s future.

“Did you ever fall in love?” asked Tamiya. TenTen paused and nodded.

“Yes. He had flowing dark brown hair and eyes white as snow, but they had a tint of lavender. His name was Neji Hyuuga. He was a prodigy. He died before we had a chance to marry,” TenTen added silently.

Tamiya was silent. Her idol was crying. She tried to comfort her. “Did he love you?” she asked.

TenTen nodded, tears still rolling down her cheeks.

“He showed it to me by giving me a kunai made of gold and ivory. Imported from Beijing. Flowers engraved on it in gold. He told me he didn’t care if I bloodied it up. Just as long as I had it. He said he never wanted to find it on the ground in the forest if he were to walk through it. It would send a message to him, symbolically, that I’d died. He gave it to me in place of a wedding ring. I never used it. I almost used it to do seppuku when word got around that Neji had died. But I remembered all the times I’d not used it, and it kept me sane,”TenTen whispered.

Tamiya was sitting in front of TenTen and crying. Her idol would have taken her life? Maybe it was selfish thinking, but Tamiya was glad Tenten hadn’t taken her life.

“Are you glad you didn’t do it?” she whispered.

TenTen nodded.

Tamiya was the only one besides herself, Lee, and Neji ( in heaven or wherever) who knew about the unused kunai. Tamiya kept the secret for years to come.

A/N: So? Tell me whatyou think!
