Author's Note: Rawwwr. This is my first angsty story. It's of Danny/Lindsay because that’s all that I ever write about. Lindsay loses a huge part of her memory when involved in a car crash and she also forgets the one person she;s always loved and cared about: Danny. But he won’t give up on her no matter what... Angsty. This is my first angsty try, even though the first chapter is nothing but fluffy. Get ready, I'll rock your angsty world! haha, kidding! Well, guys. I really appreciate reviews for this story to see how on earth I'm doing.
CHAPTER 1: Changes
Danny came down the stairs with a giant smile. He was often nowadays excited to walk down to his living room to see Lindsay there, usually in the kitchen cooking something up for him.
Two weeks ago, the weather had been horrific. It was pouring non-stop and the weather somehow gave Lindsay a certain urge. A certain urge to grab him and kiss him in the rain. She did just that, surprising Danny. Later he pulled her close to him and started dancing in the streets of Manhattan. It was the most spontaneous and beautiful thing.
Lindsay looked stunning in his kitchen, not in her element—he might add. She was pourin Oreo-O’s cereal into a bowl of whole milk…
He chuckled. Didn’t she know that you’re supposed to pour the cereal, then the milk so it wouldn’t spill? It was common knowledge.
He came up to her from behind and gently nuzzled against her ear.
“Danny!” She squealed, turning around to hand him the blue bowl with cereal and to greet him with a gently kiss. “Good morning.”
“I have late shift today, you?” He asked, he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on her cheek.
Suddenly, he felt as if he wanted to spill all his feelings for her. Not just that he liked her and enjoyed living with her… but that he knew that he has fallen in love. No—more than that, he loved her. He loved her with the whole of his heart.
He opened his mouth and she looked at him expecting him to go on. But he didn’t. Words didn’t come out. He didn’t want to scare her off with those three small words.
Being an office secret was pretty fun anyway.
“Oh, I have shift in an hour,” She frowned adorably. “Which means I have to go in half-an-hour!”
“Alright,” He said. “Be careful though, because you know… I kind of like you.” His voice was joking, but his mind was filled with concern.
“Don’t worry about me,” She laughed, grabbing her own bowl of cereal and digging in as they sat down opposite each other around their dining table.
“Promise me, you’ll take care of yourself?” He nodded
“I promise,” She laughed, quickly taking another gulp of her cereal. She went to the bathroom and gave him a new toothbrush packet.
A blue toothbrush with a letter ‘D’ on the grip, then she showed him hers: a matching pink one with a letter ‘L’.
When he saw it he laughed and gave her a quick kiss. “C’mon, time’s up. Montana. I’ll see you when I get home tonight.”
She grabbed her keys and her handbag, heading for the door—but not before she turned around and said, “I’ll be waiting.”

Danny remembered it so clearly. His phone had ringed while he was eating his takeout. He remembered every single detail, like how the house was still lingered with Montana’s sweet Nina Ricci fragrance or how the dishes was still sitting in the sink, waiting to be done.
It read ‘Stella’.
“Danny,” She breathed heavily. “Linds—Hawkes—they were driving—”
“Slow down, Stella!” He said. “Say that again.”
“Lindsay and Hawkes were driving to the scene and they got into a carcrash. The injuries are very extensive. The car landed on the right side of the road and Hawkes was driving,” She rambeled on, hyperventilating. “Lindsay is really hurt and she needs to be taken into surgery straight away.”
“Oh my God,” He exhaled. “I’ll—I’ll be right there.”
