Supplementary Chapter: Malicia Macawber’s Character Biography.

Seeing as Mal is an original character, I thought’d it be helpful to add some information about her. Bear in mind I’m withholding certain elements of her past because I don’t want to spoil any upcoming ideas/fics I plan on writing. This section will probably be updated at random.

Full name: Malicia Melantha Macawber

Nickname(s): Mal, Pyra, Mango (latter by Morg only)

Age: 25

Species: Duck/Demon

Hair colour: Yellow at the tips, fades to orange and then red. Takes on a ‘fiery’ appearance.

Eye colour: Amber

Zodiac sign: Scorpio

Blood type: A

Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral

Personality: Independent, short-tempered, sarcastic, mischievous. A possible sociopath. Does not have the ability to recognize “love”, often replaces the feeling with hatred and resentment. Ever since she began living with the Fearsome Five however, she has become more expressive – she laughs, cries, and occasionally takes on a more playful personality. As she continues to live amongst “normals” (if you can define the Fearsome Five as being remotely normal) she is slowly becoming less like a demon and more like a regular criminal, especially now that she cannot rely on her powers for self-defense due to the collar.

Relationship with:

Morgana - has not had contact with her cousin since her banishment. Malicia wants to destroy her at all costs.

Malik – Abusive toward Malicia. Status is currently unknown and she hopes it remains that way.

Darkwing - attempting to seduce Darkwing in hopes that it will cause a rift in his and Morgana’s relationship. Darkwing is unaware that Malicia is connected to Negaduck.

Negaduck – A constant power-struggle between the two. She cannot stand the fact that Negaduck has total control and defies him at any chance she can get. Has a tendency to feel sick to her stomach when she’s around him and doesn’t know why, claims to hate him with every fiber of her being. Feeling appears to be mutual. The two share many of the same character traits which have resulted in a lot of conflict. Their rivalry may be more than meets the eye.

Bushroot – Sympathetic toward Malicia. She tolerates him, and although she finds him to be too sappy a villain, she appears to appreciate his company.

Megavolt – Slightly tense relationship due to their first encounter. Megavolt does not appear to trust her completely but the two are civil with each other.

Quackerjack – Tend to avoid each other but no resentment between the two. Quackerjack is completely convinced that Malicia has “cooties”.

Liquidator – Malicia naturally avoids him because water is one of her weaknesses. She shows no hostility toward him however.

Magical abilities: It must be noted that there are a lot of stipulations behind Malicia’s power. Her demonic tail acts as a magical vessel which, when connected to her body, gives her greater strength and varied abilities. When away from the body, the tail does not corrode like a regular body part would. Instead it remains alive as a separate entity and can be re-attached to the body at any given time. This can pose a problem for Malicia because a.) all someone has to do is get close enough to chop off her tail and b.) if her tail is permanently displaced she can never gain back certain abilities. At present-time, her tail has been hidden by her father. If she can locate it again, she’ll become a force to be reckoned with.

Super-strength and stronger powers (can cast larger spells, causes more damage)
Possible immortality (she hasn’t exactly died so it’s hard to tell, and she’s not about to find out)

Water (can still drink water and bathe, but will feel weak for a short amount of time afterwards)
Holy powers (includes “blessed” items and sanctuaries such as churches, etc.)

Background story:

Like the rest of the Macawber bloodline, Malicia was raised in an exclusive magical community where “normals” (non-magical beings) were looked down upon with disgust. Unfortunately for Malicia, she was also treated as an outcast due to the fact her father, Malik, had started a family feud between himself and his younger brother Moloculo. Malik was originally the heir to the Macawber family name and was expected to inherit Macawber castle, but was skipped over because of his involvement with dark magic and a rumor that he had made a magical contract with Beelzebub. Malicia, unexpectedly born a demon, was considered a “curse” upon the Macawber family name and was shunned from their society. Her mother died shortly after she was born. Her father was cold, distant, abusive, and was responsible for Malicia’s tail being chopped off at the age of seven.

The one and only person who dared to befriend the young demon was her cousin, Morgana. The two became inseparable, and stuck up for each other during their time together at the Eldritch Academy of Enchantment. When both girls were fourteen however, a rift between the two turned them into mortal enemies (all to be revealed in my next fic!) Morgana was forced to banish the demon by encasing her in a diamond –later known as the “Lillith Diamond”. She also cast a protective spell on the diamond so if her cousin were to escape, she would be rendered helpless by an enchanted collar that restricted her powers.

Through an unusual chain of events the diamond made its way around the world where it eventually reached St. Canard’s museum. Negaduck, who intended to steal the Lillith Diamond for his own greedy purposes, accidentally released Malicia after coming in contact with the diamond. He became the reluctant “owner” of the demon’s life and had complete control over her actions. This is where the story begins.
