Title: The Headphones
Author's Note: I'm obsessed with Yoh´s headphones. Just check my gallery. I actually drew this as a comic, but then I kinda stepped on it, and couldn't scan it, so I wrote a fic instead. A little something for Valentine's Day. 3
"Aw, c'mon Manta!"
"I said no! Now shoo!"
The young shaman known as Yoh Asakura pursed his lips and pouted. The young student and a friend of Yoh Asakura, Manta Oyamada stayed sadly immune to that.
Yoh´s headphones lay on the floor between Manta and Yoh, and Manta had his back turned on Yoh, concentrating on his schoolwork. Yoh nudged the headphones closer to Manta with his foot.
"You don't know if you don't try, Manta. Just listen to them once, for me."
"How about you try to do your homework by yourself?"
"Anna makes me train hard as it is. I don't need even more pressure. Just one try Manta! You'll love Soul Bob, I swear!"
Manta turned around and fixed Yoh a glare that wasn't very unlike Anna's Patented Glare Of Doom. Yoh smiled nervously.
Suddenly Yoh grabbed the headphones and leapt on Manta, trying to force them on his head. Much squealing and not so accidental slaps and hits ensued.
That wasn't Manta. Yoh´s head perked up, eyes wide as saucers.
"YOH, GET YOUR ASS HERE RIGHT NOW!"
Yoh´s legs obeyed on their own, and before Manta knew it, he was alone in the room. A distant smack could be heard somewhere in the house.
Manta sighed and sat straight again. Now when Yoh was gone, he felt lonely suddenly. Sure, Yoh had been annoying him to no end, but it was kind of fun to have him try to wrestle the headphones on Manta…
Speaking of which…Manta glanced down to the forgotten headphones.
Then he huffed. He didn't have time to listen to music now. There was still so much to do.
There was always so much to do, now when he thought about it…
He glanced down once again, and sighed.
"Anna forced me to go grocery shopping since I forgot. And then I forgot to buy milk and I had to go again, except running backwards this time, and-" he stopped short when he noticed that Manta wasn't, in fact, listening.
Well actually he was, but not him.
Yoh stood on the doorway for a moment, and then smiled and blushed slightly.
"I think I'm going to see if Amidamaru is up for some training…"
Manta didn't hear— He was lost in his own world of music, humming softly.
