Hey Everyone! So I made this thing up while Midwestern Ontario was being dumped on by like a 8 day blizzard. I wrote some more stuff too, hopefully it will be posted soon. Anyway, I haven't wrote a poem thing in a really long time, so I hope it's good. Let me know if it is and let me know if it isn't.

Forever and For Always

I can’t do this anymore
It hurts
And I can’t take it

What happened between us?
When did it all go wrong?
Was it me? Or was it you?
I had never meant to hurt you, the way that I did
I didn’t mean for this to happen, any of it.
It’s just that . . . you were in such a dark place
A place so dark that I thought you were lost
Gone forever

I wish I knew how to help you
But I wish more then anything
That I knew what was going on
So I could try to get through to you
That you didn’t want to do what I knew you were contemplating
So that I could help

It was obvious that something was bothering you
That something was ripping you apart
You hadn’t eaten lunch in days
That had never happened, you always ate
And then I was scared
Terrified for your life

But you didn’t seem to care
It looked like you hadn’t slept in days
I wondered if it was because of me
Because of what I had done

Deep down, I knew it was because of me
And I wish that I could turn back time
That way I could undo everything that I had done wrong
I would have never gone undercover
Not if I knew that we were going to wind up like this
So broken
Our hearts in shambles
The lives that we once knew in ruins

You were scared for me
I know that
But you have to understand
I had to go
To prove to myself
That I could do it
That I was worth it
