"Whoa." said William, looking around and brandishing his sword.

"Oi." said Sara, who had just been virtualized.

"Watch where you're swingin' that thing broadsword boy!" she exclaimed, ducking just in time.

"Yeah. Don’t give me a reason." snarled Odd, aiming at William. William inched away, as Aelita changed the subject.

"Jeremie, can we get some vehicles?"

"Yep" He replied, programming all the vehicles. Before the group knew it, they were at the edge of the sector.

"Alright guys, buisness as usual. SCIPIO" The transporter swung down, and picked them up.

“Hey!" Odd said, as the others ran into the main hall

"What's wrong?" asked Sara, looking concerned.

"Well, my stomach doesn't hurt, for one thing." he said, as they followed the others into the Main chamber.

"Ok guys, where's the Key?" said Odd, looking around.

"I see it!" exclaimed Yumi, pointing at the northwest part of the hall.

"I got it," said Ulrich, casually. He sprinted to the edge, but was shot down by a Tarantula. "I got it.," said Yumi, as she destroyed the tarantula, and Ulrich pressed the key. Suddenly, a wall separated Aelita and William from the rest of the group.

"What just happened?" asked William, holding his sword at the ready.

"I don’t know," answered Aelita, conjuring up energy balls. Suddenly, the Scipazoa came up to them.

"William, get away from that thing!" urged Aelita, throwing energy at it, but it only got pushed aside.

"I'm not afraid of a jellyfish" scoffed William, Running up to it. Instead of the planned attack, William was swept up.

"Jeremie, Williams getting, Getting Xanafied!" stuttered Aelita, and then focusing on de-virtualizing William. William got let down, and the Scipazoa left. Aelita focused all her energy and flung it at him. William blocked the energy, and rebounded it back at her "We have a problem!" she cried as she got de-virtualized.

In the short span that Aelita and William were attacked, Jeremie rushed the others to the core.

"One more mantis!" said Sara, aiming perfectly. She shot, and the mantis was destroyed.

“Sara, on your left!” said Odd, flying on the overboard and exploding a few more.

“Guys, you have a possessed William coming your way. Be on guard, Aelita just got de-virtualized.”

“Ok Jeremie. We’ll be on alert,” said Yumi, Taking out both fans.

Suddenly, a black smoke appeared in front of them, revealing William.

“Well, here we go!” said Ulrich, lunging forward and attacking William, putting them both in a deadlocked battle.

“Odd, aim at him with me!” said Sara, as they both shot from different angles, only William jumped, avoiding not only the arrows but also a shot from Ulrich’s sword.

“Hyah!” Yumi threw the fan, but it was hit back and it spiraled down to the bottom.

William smirked, for shot after shot was being thrown at him, yet noting had hit him.

“Yeah, right broadsword boy,” muttered Sara, standing directly behind him aiming up a shot when he wasn’t looking. She let go the arrow, and it seemed like the perfect shot. However, at the last second William swiveled, rebounding the “perfect” shot and de-virtualizing Sara.

“Sara!” cried Odd, “Take this you traitor!” he shot a flurry of arrows towards the possessed teen.

“Odd, Wait-“ said Yumi, watching the cat-like teen falter.

“Lazer Arr- oh, shi-“

His last statement was cut off, for his arrows had come back as well.

Ulrich sprinted towards William in a rage. Too many. Next, he might get Yumi.

“You are a traitor!” he said, aiming hits that William blocked.

“No. I am the wiser,” he said, before Ulrich’s sword slipped and he got de-virtualized.

Yumi walked up to him then, with only one fan, she only had one shot. She was their only hope.

“William Dunbar. I’ve never favored you. But we let you into this team.” She threw her fan, counting on a sound shot, but, like all the other attacks, it was rebounded. William hit her in the shoulder, a sure shot.

“I knew we shouldn’t have trusted you!” said Yumi, who was then devirtualized.

William then floated over to the core, and in a bright red flash, Lyoko was gone.

The group found themselves at the Hermitage, mourning Aelita’s father, Lyoko, and figuring out what to do with William deleted. Sara was cuddling with Odd in a corner, Ulrich and Yumi on the couch, and Jeremie and Aelita sharing a chair.

“So now what?” asked Ulrich quietly.

“We lost.” said Jeremie, “Xana won. He Destroyed Lyoko.”

“We can just give up! Can’t you do anything?” said Odd, “For all we know we could end up like squashed ants!”

“But-,” Jeremie started to talk, but his Computer started to beep. Aelita’s eyes grew wide as she read the subject.

“What’s wrong?” asked Sara, Odd and her standing up and walking over.

“It’s an e-mail,” said Jeremie, “An email from Franz Hopper.”
