Doughnut had gone a wee bit too far. She (with the aid of Muffin and Cupcake) had decided to kidnap the main characters of Avatar, and force them to sing songs. Only fitting songs, of course. Doughnut, Muffin, and Cupcake sat back in the audience (which was comprised of the three and the rest of the cast awaiting their turn to sing) and watched the two people onstage.
Katara blinked and looked at Zuko.
“I don’t have a choice in this, do I?”
“No,” Doughnut replied.
“Well, let’s get this over with!” Zuko said. “So, what song are we singing?”
Doughnut used a bazooka to send a few scripts rocketing at them. Zuko and Katara caught their scripts and looked confused.
“’Sun and Moon’ from Miss Saigon?” Katara couldn’t help but ask. “What’s that?”
“It’s a LURVE song!” Doughnut screeched happily. “And it’s a PERFECT song! It’s like, the Zutara theme song!”
“Zutara?” Zuko asked in confusion.
“Get on with the singing!” Doughnut yelled.
“Don’t get all huffy!” Katara muttered. Doughnut sat in front of her keyboard and opened her Miss Saigon score open to the right page. She flipped through and finally found her page. She bent the book so that it would stay open. She set the keyboard to “Strings” so it would sound better. She began to play. Slowly, Zuko and Katara started singing.
Katara:
You are sunlight and I moon
Joined by the gods of fortune
Midnight and high noon
Sharing the sky
We have been blessed, you and I.
Aang was quickly turning purple. Sokka was turning a rather ugly shade of magenta from his pent up rage.
Zuko:
You are here like a mystery
I'm from a world that's so different
From all that you are
How in the light of one night
Did we come so far?
Zuko grimaced slightly. Katara winced openly.
Katara:
Outside day starts to dawn…
Zuko:
Your moon still floats on high...
He cringed. Aang’s head was swelling just like it did when he screamed a Joo Dee. Sokka’s head was already enormous.
Katara:
The birds awake…
Zuko:
The stars shine too…
Katara:
My hands still shake…
Zuko:
I reach for you…
Both:
And we meet in the sky!
Aang was gripping the arms of his seat so hard he dug nail marks into the metal. Sokka had ripped out his armrests.
Katara:
You are sunlight and I moon
Joined here
Brightening the sky
With the flame
Of love…
Zuko and Katara choked slightly on the word “love”, but that only gave Doughnut ideas. More love songs.
Both:
Made of
Sunlight
Moonlight…
Sokka and Aang jumped out of their seats. Doughnut, sensing what they were about to do to Zuko, quickly tazed them.
BZZT!
