I lie battered and broken

a heap of bones on this cold floor

waiting for you to enter through that door

my blood seeps from beneath and stretches as far as I can see

Today is gone and I know,

that tomorrow will not come

tonight is my last day,

to live upon this earth.

Yet here I lie

and slowly die.

Because you flew away from me

and left me drowning in this dark sea.

I lie battered and broken

covered in blood

and it makes me cry

because alone I am

But my blood.

it floods the room entirely

and I sink beneath dark liquid

of copper taste and reddish hue.

Today is gone,

it flew away

leaving me here

beneath dark blood and shining stars

surrounded by fossils of wings

and I slowly hear you sing

but I sink more and more

And I choke on my own dark words

was it me…

Just tell me please

just once…come back for me…

I find it hard to say good bye

and by and by

my time runs out
