HAPPY

It’s not that you aren’t happy, it’s just that…it’s just that this isn’t what you wanted. Your life has turned out wonderfully. You are very lucky. You shouldn’t complain. You know for a fact that there are people who’s lives are thousands upon thousands times worse than yours. This is your personal mantra. But you can’t help it. No matter how hard you try, your mind always wanders, and you find yourself thinking of him.

You squish yours eyes shut and desperately hope that your thoughts of him will go away. But that only makes it worse. Now you see his beautiful face smiling back at you, with that annoying smirk that only you know he’s capable of. You bite you lips. That always stops the tears.

You tell yourself to stop it. That you don’t need him, that you are happy, and that you’re lucky enough as it is. And during the day, that’ll stop you. But at night, when all of Orb has gone to bed, you can’t help but cry over Athrun Zala.
