The house was dark and a little scary as I walked down the hallway of her house from my room to my brother’s room. When I reach Mikey’s room I stopped for the first time I don’t know how Mikey will act my brother had been acting weird ever since mummy and daddy said I was gonna start school this year. ‘Come on Carol. Mikey isn’t gonna be mad.’ I told myself as I opened his door and walked to his bed watch not to step on toys and clothes. Looking at Mikey I see my brother before he started school, the brother who would play with me and tell me stories; he is real good at that I always forget the stories aren’t real. “Mikey, Mikey wake up. Mikey I have scary dream.” I say little ashamed that my voice is weak, I don’t want Mikey to think I’m a baby.

At first I think Mikey is gonna be mean to me again I wish he wouldn’t or that I knew why. Then after a minute Mikey scoots over and through the cover back for me to clime in with him. “Wot was the dream Carrie.” Mikey asked as he turned to face me wiping the tears, I didn’t realized I had, off my face. After a few minutes of me not answering Mikey started to pet my head kinda like a dog. “Come on Carrie wot was the dream about?”

“I was at school and the teacher started askin’ really hard questions. Like 3+5 and why the sky is blue? And to count to twenty and then the teacher gives me a book at tells me to read the whole book but I can’t understand. So then they say I can go to school cause I’m not smart enough. Mikey is that true am I not smart?”

“ Carrie your smart, they won’t kick you out I promise.” Mikey tells me hugging me closer to him.

“Really Mikey.” I ask pulling back a little to look at him.

“Yeah Carrie, I promise I won’t let them I’ll protect you.” Mikey says.

“Mikey?” I say laying my head down on his pillow.

“Wot you want?.” was his reply.

“I love you.” I say as I fall to sleep.

“I love you to Carrie and I promise I’ll always protect you forever and always.” Mikey whispers as we fall asleep.

How do you like I tried to keep Mike and Carol how I thought they would be as little kids Mike is six and carol is four so review and tell me how you like it please.
