Hey, it’s me, I’m on a roll ne?

Short drabble, I like this one.

Disclaimer: Don’t own. No money. I’ll shut up now.

Privileged

I’m treated differently. By Drake Parker, my step brother.

I know, I know, you’re thinking ‘what, does he beat you?” quite opposite in fact. I’m…special I guess. Like this one time, some kid was sitting in his seat for the lunch table, he wasn’t that nice, the new kid, I mean, and Drake, seeing this, calmly walked over and said. “Move.” It was said as though the new kid should do this without question. I saw this from the far side of the lunch table, (aka nerd table) and thought, what if I did that?

So, being the kid with the A+ in Science class, I did little experiment. That night at dinner, I sat at his usual seat at the dinner table.

The reaction was, different. Drake walked in with his plate, cast me a look, grinned and plopped next to me. He didn’t demand I should move. Didn’t yell at me, just acted like I was… worth it. I’m…special in his eyes.

A related thing happened the other day, he wanted to talk to me, about what I don’t remember, however I was talking to Eric.

And what did Drake do? Simply told Eric to leave. Here was Drake Parker, king of popular mountain with girls dripping off him, pushing everything aside just to talk to me, Josh Nicolas.

I guess, the way Drake thinks….I’m privileged.

I’m allowed to do things; I’m allowed to talk to him in front of some cool girl. I only know this because I walked up to him during some period of the day, just to say hi, a very normal thing I must add, but either way, I walked up and the new girl of the week, sneered at me.

“Jeez Drake, aren’t you going to ignore this loser?” She spat.

I didn’t see that girl again.

I questioned him, and he said, “She was….not our thing.” Not our thing? That made me feel happy, Drake, more then you could ever believe. To you, I mattered more than your love life. You needed my approval for a lot of things, and you didn’t ask mom, or dad, you went to me. You trusted me, I guess. Well, you still do.

Why am I so privileged in your eyes drake? I don’t know, and somehow, I don’t think you do either, but I’ll go with it, and you’ll go with it… and we’ll go with it.

It’s nice to be privileged.

I might just wander back to One Piece now; you guys don’t need me to kill the place.
