I… I know it’s been six years but your still missed, everyday by at least one person. I… your needed, please come back” There’s a pause and a sigh. “I… goodbye … Ruth”

“Just say it,” a small voice begs the phone. “Please one of these days, just say that you want, need, have to have me back. Please just say it once. I know you want to. Please?”

The small voice walks out the door to start another day as someone else.
